Because your site lacks any sort of careers page, I assume that mail to that accord is unwelcome, and perhaps solicitations in that regard got to be an issue, which is understandable, and I apologize for my hubris if that is the case.
However, as a business that appears to have become both successful, well administered, and have a large backlog of satisfied clients, perhaps you can offer some advice regarding finding employment in some capacity that can use my abilities with HTML/XHTML/CSS/Javascript/PHP/C#? I have no reason to believe you need another person; the testimonials give the impression that this is a one-man operation, and if that is the case you certainly know exactly what you are doing. Given that, it seems reasonable to conclude that you have a firm grasp on the industry condition in this city and with that in mind, I'm hopeful that you will find the time to answer some questions about it.
I've setup websites via hosting and domain registrars, and know HTML/CSS/XHTML Javascript and PHP. I've also setup LAMP servers on home machines and had them deliver the content for subdomains of a domain whose content is typically on a webhost. Additionally, I've setup "test" servers, for learning purposes using IIS, ASP, ASP.NET (via C#) and generally experimented with the Microsoft stack. I'm used JQuery, and also have had (admittedly) limited experience with node.js.
My question is- would this be enough? Are there any other considerations a web design firm look for? Is my experience with Desktop Application Programming (C#/Delphi/VB6/Python) a relevant qualification?
Another question; I'm uncertain as to your pricing policies, and I do apologize for taking your valuable time with this, but as a professional web designer, would you be able to apprise the merit of my own design on my own home page (http://bc-programming.com). I feel silly addressing myself as a "professional" in this field, and find it difficult to judge my work subjectively. An honest appraisal of my abilities at this time is all I ask; the goal being to try to determine where my abilities fall short and what I can work on to improve my skills in this area.
Thank you very much for your time, and I do apologize for the seeming abrupt form of communication I have chosen.
