[14:22]<xXtriplecoolXx> ok im not going to be in this fucking god damn mother fucking chat and not chat so what is the point to be in this chat when your not talking

[14:22]<@BC_Programming> You're the one who keeps joing and saying "hi" for no bloody reason
[14:23]<@BC_Programming> joining*
[14:23]<xXtriplecoolXx> I only said hi onse
[14:23]<@BC_Programming> I count 4
[14:24]<@BC_Programming> and that's just of the text on my screen
[14:25]<xXtriplecoolXx> yeah whatever
[14:29]<@BC_Programming> At least youre only doing it once when you join
[14:34]<Quantos> What do you mean 'Yeah, whatever?'
[14:35]<Quantos> BC doesn't speak much, you should listen when he chooses to
[14:35]<@BC_Programming> Counting is hard
[14:36]<Quantos> Especially with a name like triplecool
[14:36]<Quantos> He's just so much cooler than I am I guess
[14:36]<@BC_Programming> or gamerboy, or Xxxbox360xX or any number of his other nicks
[14:37]<Quantos> Yeah, and I've banned his arse numberous time
[14:37]<Quantos> times even
[14:37]<@BC_Programming> haha
[14:37]<@BC_Programming> Jacky did temporarily
[14:37]<@BC_Programming> I guess his outbursts are entertaining
[14:37]<Quantos> Yeah, like getting smacked in the foot with a ball peen hammer
[14:37]<@BC_Programming> Who sits in an IRC channel then complains when the quantity doesn't meet their expectations
[14:38]<Quantos> a xXTripleLoserXx
[14:38]<@BC_Programming> That's like going into a library and complaining that everybody is whispering
[14:38]<Quantos> Yeap :D
[14:39]<@BC_Programming> "oh just pick up a book, that's why we are all quiet"
[14:39]<@BC_Programming> "Oh I can't read"
[14:39]<@BC_Programming> Then Why are you in a library
[14:40]<@BC_Programming> In other news, I'm "upgrading" my Pentium 4 retro game system
[14:40]<@BC_Programming> maxing it out with 2GB of DDR which I found for like 10 bucks
[14:41]<Quantos> Cool
[14:41]<@BC_Programming> And two sound cards... I bought a Xonar DG then forgot I bought it and got a Audigy 2 on eBay
[14:41]<Quantos> I have a pentium four that I play Doom II on
[14:41] * xXtriplecoolXx (Mibbit@mib-CF5C3662.hsd1.in.comcast.net) Quit (Quit: http://www.mibbit.com ajax IRC Client)
[14:41]<@BC_Programming> wtf man we were talking! WHAT DOES HE WANT FROM US?
[14:42]<Quantos> LOL
[14:42]<@BC_Programming> I use my current system for the old Doom's with Source Ports
[14:42]<Quantos> Really?
[14:42]<Quantos> I can't get it to run on my i5 or my i7
[14:42]<@BC_Programming> yes I use gzDoom
[14:43]<Quantos> Hmm, I'll have to look into it
[14:43]<@BC_Programming> It's effectively a replacement executable that uses the same WAD file(s) and more or less plays the same
[14:43]<@BC_Programming> well, it uses OpenGL and you can use higher resolutions and stuff like mouselook I suppose
[14:44]<Quantos> I wonder if it'll run on Linux
[14:44]<@BC_Programming> Then you get into the mods like Brutal Doom or Project Brutality
[14:44]<@BC_Programming> Yep there are Linux builds, I think that might be the primary build target actually
[14:46]<Quantos> Excellent
[14:46]<@BC_Programming> You just need the WAD files from the original games
[14:47]<Quantos> I think I have those here on disk
[14:47]<@BC_Programming> There is something similar for games like Quake, Quake II, Duke Nukem, and such
[14:47]<@BC_Programming> If nowhere else it sounds like they are on that P4 system
[14:48]<Quantos> Yeah, but it's handy if I have them here on my i5
[14:48]<Quantos> And I do
[14:48]<@BC_Programming> I like source ports because, typically there are optional "enhancements" like high-res textures or models and so forth
[14:49]<@BC_Programming> But Source Ports only exist for the games that were open sourced eventually, which is unfortunately the exception rather than the rule
[14:49]<Quantos> Yeah, I know what you mean
[14:49]<Quantos> Wow, it detected all of my WADS
[14:49]<Quantos> Now, which one to play
[14:51]<Quantos> It runs but it doesn't seem to like my resolution
[14:51]<Quantos> Uses a partial screen, I can live with that though
[14:52]<@BC_Programming> I usually run it full screen at native res, can be changed in the options
[15:03]<Quantos> Yeah, just found the options for that
[15:03]<Quantos> Cool,

[16:12]<+camerongray> hahaha, wow
[16:13]<+camerongray> Anyway, hey BC_Programming & Quantos
[16:14]<@BC_Programming> wassup
[16:14]<@BC_Programming> And yes I was thinking of a VPS
[16:14]<@BC_Programming> was probably going to just upgrade with my current provider rather than shuffle everything to a new host
[16:15]<+camerongray> Doesn't make a huge difference though since with a VPS you'd be setting stuff up from scratch anyway
[16:16]<@BC_Programming> hmm as I understood it upgrading what I have would have them move it over with a standard setup
[16:17]<+camerongray> Ahh, but then you lose the fun of a VPS :P
[16:17]<@BC_Programming> My expectation was something like they build a new VPS from a stock image and then slap in the data from my existing hosting
[16:17]<+camerongray> True but then you have no idea what it's running and you'll probably pay a premium for it
[16:18]<+camerongray> I'd be more inclined to go with something like DigitalOcean or similar and set up a LAMP stack the way you want it
[16:19]<@BC_Programming> hmm I see. Then I would keep my existing setup and then just swap the Domain records when the new one is "ready"
[16:19]<+camerongray> Yeah

[17:15]<@BC_Programming> Actually Speaking of Doom, I got that new "Doom" game too
[17:15]<@BC_Programming> It's OK if a bit overrated
[17:16]<@BC_Programming> It did get me thinking of a new Graphics card, then I was quickly reminded why I decided against that. $800 no thx
[17:55]<+camerongray> haha yeah
[17:56]<+camerongray> Last exam (ever) tomorrow, can't wait to have free time for stuff like games
[17:56]<+camerongray> Might get back into Minecraft :P
[18:02]<@BC_Programming> I still play Minecraft fairly frequently
[18:02]<@BC_Programming> Same single player world since 1.9 Prerelease 6 woot
[18:02]<@BC_Programming> http://bc-programming.com/img/mainbasex.png
[18:03]<@BC_Programming> The purple/magenta/pink building to the right is my current build project
[18:03]<+camerongray> haha wow, can't wait to have free time like that again :P
[18:04]<@BC_Programming> that entire area used to be a jungle lol
[18:04]<+camerongray> I'll be able to do more YouTube stuff too - Still have a tonne more old PCs to go through along with a new router to make a video of and stuff
[18:04]<@BC_Programming> oooh yes videos!
[18:04]<+camerongray> Treated myself to a new camera as well so it'll no longer be 1080i
[18:05]<+camerongray> http://www.sony.com/electronics/interchangeable-lens-cameras/ilce-6000-body-kit
[18:05]<@BC_Programming> neat
[18:08]<+camerongray> Bought one of these (To be clear I paid £50, not that ridiculous price) - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Celestix-WSA-SSL-VPN-Appliance-Scorpio-X-4D508-Security-Rackmounted-/201253643322?hash=item2edba6e43a:g:N80AAOxyTMdTKHiQ
[18:08]<+camerongray> Going to make a video of that then put VyOS on it to use as my new router
