[00:45]<Mulreay> Hi
[00:57]<@BC_Programming> good of you to visit
[01:07]<Mulreay> Meh, is it really?
[01:09]<Mulreay> But I have known this stuff for as long as I have been alive... oh wait that's my Mother.. but I did have this address in my diary
[01:10]<Mulreay> I do see a good few people I know.. hello facebook friends
[01:10]<Mulreay> And the ones that didn't make the cut
[01:11]<@BC_Programming> lol
[01:12]<Mulreay> Did anyone tell Novembre he spelt his name wrong? Or is it a little hush hush?
[01:12]<@BC_Programming> could be french
[01:13]<Mulreay> Touche
[01:13]<Mulreay> See what we did there? We should form a comedy group
[01:14]<Mulreay> Like an early Monty Python called..... Colonial Spider
[01:15]<Mulreay> See why you don't miss me?
[01:17]<@BC_Programming> I get to see a Dentist on Monday weee
[01:18]<@BC_Programming> thus is the exciting life
[01:20]<Mulreay> I hate those guys, telling them the problems is like pulling teeth. OH NO HE DIDN'T... see Monty Python right there
[01:20]<Mulreay> With a very annoying American twist
[01:21]<@BC_Programming> I don't have any problems per se but I'm going to need them fixed ideally
[01:21]<@BC_Programming> I wasn't using my money for anything else anyway
[01:23]<Mulreay> Teeth are overrated whilst soup is underrated.
[01:25]<@BC_Programming> Last time I saw one was 12 years ago
[01:26]<Mulreay> The problem is, teeth were never meant to last as long as they do. Even in Victorian London your 21st birthday present could be to have all your teeth removed and replaced with dentures. It was a way to stop the issue. It's a massive evolution issue (why stick a nerve in there)?
[01:28]<Mulreay> I know it can lead to cysts and the such and you cannot die from a toothache so hence evolution never solved it but please. Why?
[01:29]<Mulreay> I had a tooth out about 7 months ago here in malta because i bit into a peanut (well a bowl) and one cracked.. the pain was stupid
[01:30]<@BC_Programming> I think it is more a result of changing diet and industrialization
[01:32]<Mulreay> Look at the teeth of a village in the middle of nowhere.. not are 'American style' but they don't all seem to be cringing at the colour. A lot comes from the fact we abraise our teeth trough brushing (a very small part)
[01:33]<@BC_Programming> While we are at it, Wisdom teeth, WTF nature
[01:34]<@BC_Programming> All the teeth are like "Alright guys, we fit quite nicely here"
[01:34]<@BC_Programming> And then Mr.Wisdom tooth is like "Hey guys sorry I'm late if you could scooch over a bit"
[01:34]<Mulreay> I never had an issue with that, but I know people struggle with teeth that don't fit the jaw) how messed up is that
[01:37]<Mulreay> Like the last guy at the party trying to push out the door the others
[01:42]<Mulreay> http://www.disclose.tv/news/operation_high_jump_what_they_found_then_covered_up_in_antarctica_will_blow_your_mind/123496?utm_content=bufferc99ed&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook.com&utm_campaign=buffer Well I feel like I've been taught
[01:42]<Mulreay> Hate this bull5hit
[01:43]<Mulreay> And no didn't blow my mind
[01:44]<@BC_Programming> That reminds me of that BS image of the sun's Corona seeming to "avoid" an area, so people said "AH HA! it's a cloaked UFO"
[01:44]<@BC_Programming> Completely ignoring the fact that it is a well-documented Solar phenomena where the magnetic field causes mass ejections to be repelled from certain areas
[01:46]<Mulreay> Sadly there are way too many people out there believing this bull

[16:59]<+camerongray> Damn, missed Mulreay and Calum
[16:59]<+camerongray> Hey jacky/BC
[17:02]<@BC_Programming> aaaay
[17:12]<@jacky> camerongray: Hello
[17:12]<@jacky> BC_Programming: Hello
[17:13]<+camerongray> Hadoop cluster at uni died, need it to finish a coursework at uni due Tuesday
[17:14]<+camerongray> So we grabbed as many spare machines we could find and built our own in my friend's living room: http://imgur.com/a/UWtaD
[17:14]<@BC_Programming> I like oat clusters.
[17:14]<+camerongray> lol
[17:15]<@jacky> what's a hadoop ?
[17:15]<@jacky> is that the Indian word for possum ?
[17:15]<@BC_Programming> oh no now you'll get him started
[17:15]<+camerongray> Software to process large amounts of data across a cluster of machines
[17:15]<+camerongray> haha
[17:16]<@jacky> cool
[17:16]<@jacky> what's that thing that Calum used to do? some sort of science thing, where you download a packet, crunch it, and return it to them
[17:16]<@jacky> is this like that?
[17:16]<@jacky> can't remember the name of that thing he did....
[17:17]<+camerongray> Folding@Home
[17:17]<@jacky> that's it
[17:17]<+camerongray> Similar idea yeah
[17:17]<+camerongray> Although you chose what to process and it only works on your own machines
[17:17]<@jacky> not to be confused with dusting at home, or ironing at home
[17:17]<+camerongray> haha!
[17:18]<@jacky> so it you told it to calculate pi to the nth digit, it would turn into a space heater and just go and go and go ?
[17:18]<+camerongray> yeah, his room is quite warm at the moment
[17:18]<+camerongray> Currently have 5 pretty decent machines in it
[17:19]<+camerongray> Totalling 55.84gb RAM and 32 cores
[17:19]<+camerongray> Actually, 20 cores
[17:19]<@jacky> don't forget that .84gb !! not .83, but .84
[17:19]<+camerongray> lol!
[17:19]<@jacky> heh
[17:20]<@jacky> just lost 12 cores? that fast?
[17:20]<@jacky> whew
[17:20]<+camerongray> Read the wrong thing :P
[17:20]<@BC_Programming> the compost heap is the destiny of apple cores, perhaps it's similar
[17:20]<+camerongray> We have less machines but they are all way better than the machines the uni are using
[17:20]<+camerongray> They are just using a pile of old Core 2 Duo desktops
[17:21]<@jacky> BC_Programming: camerongray has piles ?
[17:22]<@BC_Programming> it's a very sensitive subject, you shouldn't just bring it up like that
[17:23]<@jacky> oh
[17:23]<+camerongray> :D
[17:23]<@jacky> can you demo, on how to bring it up then?
[17:25]<@BC_Programming> OK, I'll try
[17:25]<@BC_Programming> ahem
[17:25]<@BC_Programming> "So camerongray, about your piles"
[17:25]<@BC_Programming> wait, dammit
[17:26]<@BC_Programming> to direct.... hmm... You like badgers? Possums? What about piles?
[17:26]<@BC_Programming> too*
[17:28]<@jacky> possum piles!!
[17:29]<@BC_Programming> I've always preferred to partake in possum piles
[17:30]<@jacky> oohh.. alliteration
[17:30]<@jacky> nice!
