[18:06]<@BC_Programming> Hey Calum
[18:06]<@BC_Programming> and Pottsi I suppose
[18:06]<@BC_Programming> Oh wait, I mean, "Hi ChanbotVIII"
[18:06]<@Calum> hah
[18:06]<@BC_Programming> I don't know if cam is here to uphold the tradition
[18:07]<@BC_Programming> I'm building another PC for no reason, think I mentioned that but I actually ordered everything a few days ago
[18:07]<@BC_Programming> I shall call it the budget build experiment
[18:09]<@Calum> ah cool, what parts did you go for?
[18:11]<@BC_Programming> Gigabyte GA-AM1M-S2P Motherboard, Athlon 5350 2Ghz, 2x2GB XMS3, Corsair CX430 PSU, Fractal Design Core 1100 Micro ATX, and a 250GB Seagate drive
[18:12]<@Calum> cool, sounds decent
[18:12]<@BC_Programming> I was originally going to go for a Sempron but I didn't think it was worth the minor savings
[18:13]<@BC_Programming> Cost around $300 CDN, a bit more with shipping, so probably around ten times cheaper than my main PC.. and of course it's hardly going to replace it
[18:14]<@Calum> That's cool, decent price for what it is, and room for expansion as well
[18:15]<@BC_Programming> I could have gone cheaper of course, if I went with crappy brands for things like the PSU and motherboard, but even if it is a sort of backup separate system it would be nice to be able to trust it heh
[18:15]<@Calum> Heh, exactly
[18:20]<@BC_Programming> Also went on a shopping spree of sorts, CR2032 and CR2035 batteries, a high-end graphing calculator (I dunno...), 1080p Benq Monitor, and a 480GB SSD for my thinkpad
[18:22]<@BC_Programming> I have a thing for gadgets
[18:23]<@Calum> I'm not even going to comment on the calculator hah
[18:24]<@BC_Programming> Yeah I won't really have a use for it. I just wanted one for no reason
[18:25]<@BC_Programming> I guess because I didn't even have a TI-83 that we were supposed to have for school and now I can just buy the highest end TI calculator on a whim
[18:25]<@Calum> I don't think I have ever even seen a graphing calculator
[18:25]<@BC_Programming> They are pretty much overpriced portable computers
[18:26]<@BC_Programming> A TI-83 has a Z80 processor which is basically a 8086 and they still cost like 140 dollars

[23:11]<+camerongray> BC_Programming: haha, nice
[23:11]<+camerongray> All my new network stuff has arrived
[23:12]<+camerongray> HP Procurve 1800-24g switch and a brand new Ubiquiti UniFi AP Pro access point
[23:12]<+camerongray> Going to be sweet!
[23:15]<@BC_Programming> cool
