[16:37]<+camerongray> I don't really do it much - I never really sleep much :P
[16:39]<+camerongray> 7 hours a night max
[16:39]<@BC_Programming> ugh Geek-9pm needs to stop with this windows 9 crap
[16:48]<+camerongray> Has he posted again?
[16:48]<+camerongray> *facepalm*
[16:48]<@BC_Programming> he made a new thread
[16:48]<+camerongray> Oh
[16:49]<@BC_Programming> I almost said too much
[16:49]<@BC_Programming> but he's not worth violating an NDA
[16:52]<@BC_Programming> hey cool I can enable Aero in VMWare on a guest
[16:54]<+camerongray> He replied again
[16:55]<+camerongray> You are to buy a domain or something
[17:02]<jamer> O.o

[17:13]<+camerongray> DB just made even less sense than Geek-9pm
[17:13]<+camerongray> "<db100547> guest_74: oops the >>> db100547 guest_87: at the price is a >>> was my view on it ."
[17:14]<@BC_Programming> wut
[17:15]<+camerongray> Context wouldn't help
[17:20]<+camerongray> Trying to work out why removing a virus is seen as such a big deal - My auntie's laptop was a mess, ran ADWCleaner and MBAM in safe mode and everything seems fixed
[17:20]<@BC_Programming> oh man that reminds me of my first argument with Evilfantasy
[17:20]<+camerongray> lol, go on
[17:21]<@BC_Programming> consensus was that most people simply don't have the technical prowess to use those sorts of tools
[17:21]<+camerongray> Ahh
[17:21]<+camerongray> I just hit scan and then remove on both :P
[17:21]<@BC_Programming> I think I basically said that for me even the worst infection I had just needed me to use the recovery console
[17:22]<@BC_Programming> coincidentally the last time I was ever infected was with Windows XP, weird coincidence
[17:22]<+camerongray> What I don't get is why adware creators make their stuff so obtrusive
[17:22]<+camerongray> I mean, if it was a small ad on all pages, people wouldn't notice
[17:22]<+camerongray> This was so many popups and redirects you know straight away that something is wrong
[17:22]<+camerongray> Haha - I've never really been infected
[17:23]<@BC_Programming> I got virut, that's a nasty one
[17:23]<+camerongray> This infection seems to have stemed from them trying to install Skype but instead downloading some sort of fake installer and running that
[17:24]<@BC_Programming> I do like the folks trying to say that XP not having security updates isn't a big deal... completely no understanding that every update for later versions of windows is a smorgasbord of free exploits for XP
[17:25]<+camerongray> yeah
[17:25]<+camerongray> Or thinking that AV companies can patch everything
[17:25]<@BC_Programming> I find it a bit ironic that SuperDave is among those thinking it's not a big deal
[17:25]<+camerongray> Yep
[17:59]<@BC_Programming> oh wow, Flash Drives are cheap
[18:00]<jamer> BC_Programming they get cheaper all the time
[19:12]<jamer> So an app my class made is getting really popular
[20:00]<+camerongray> Nice!
[20:00]<+camerongray> link?
[20:01]<jamer> Its ios only :(
[20:01]<+camerongray> Ahh
[20:01]<+camerongray> Same deal with my latest project - Got a guy developing an Android app at the moment
[20:01]<+camerongray> Not sure if I've shown you it - http://yourtaximeter.com/
[20:02]<jamer> It's named baby shark
[20:04]<@BC_Programming> I wish MSDN downloads didn't download via HTTP
