[09:07]<+Craig> Whats wrong with it camerongray?
[09:10]<+camerongray> Think the technical term is "knackered"
[09:10]<+camerongray> Won't POST, no beep codes
[09:10]<+camerongray> Only beep I can get is by removing all the RAM
[09:10]<+Craig> Sounds like a CPU issue
[09:10]<+camerongray> Yeah, board or CPU
[09:10]<+Craig> Though it usually checks CPU first,
[09:11]<+camerongray> It ran at 100% on both CPUs for more than a year so pretty sure that's it
[09:11]<+Craig> But it could just be a bios issue, have you tried with an older CPU to see if you could update, or get post?
[09:11]<+camerongray> It's an old IBM eServer 326 from 2004 :P
[09:11]<+camerongray> No parts or tools :P
[09:11]<+camerongray> No IT department here! :D
[09:12]<+camerongray> We broke our only screwdriver trying to get a hard drive caddy out when it got stuck
[09:12]<+camerongray> Trying a new CMOS battery now just because
[09:13]<+camerongray> But the new one was stolen from an old P4 tower we had so it's probably dead anyway :P
[09:13]<+camerongray> I'd try one CPU at a time if I had the tools
[09:13]<+camerongray> Do you happen to know if you can do that with the old Opterons? (One CPU at a time)
[09:17]<+Craig> Should be able too, otherwise it should post beep about it
[09:21]<+camerongray> Ahh cool
[09:21]<+camerongray> may try that
[09:21]<+camerongray> Will need to bring paste in
[09:22]<jamer> Welp last night was nasty .. had to clean a smoke damaged laptop
[09:27]<+camerongray> Ouch
[09:27]<+camerongray> SmokER damage is bad too :P
[09:28]<jamer> Wasnt smoker damaged .. persons house caught on fire .. only her laptop bag purse and cloths she had on survived
[09:28]<+camerongray> Ahh yeah
[09:28]<+camerongray> I'd probably put it through the dishwasher if it's really bad :P
[09:29]<jamer> Lol
[09:29]<+camerongray> I did that on an ex-smoker's PC
[09:29]<jamer> O.o and it worked?
[09:30]<+camerongray> Mainly so I could actually have it in the same room as me without being able to smell it
[09:30]<+camerongray> Yeah - As long as you don't have it too hot and let it dry completely for a long time
[09:30]<+camerongray> And remove the CMOS battery
[09:30]<jamer> Ah
[09:31]<+camerongray> It was a crappy machine anyway - I wouldn't have cared in the slightest if it broke :P
[09:31]<jamer> This one I cared about
[09:31]<+camerongray> Sempron 2400+, 512mb, 80gb
[09:31]<+camerongray> Yeah
[09:31]<+camerongray> At least if it wasn't running that would have helped a bit
[09:31]<+camerongray> How bad was it?
[09:31]<jamer> Bad
[09:32]<+camerongray> Ahh
[09:32]<+camerongray> Got it sorted though?
[09:33]<jamer> Yeah .. had to take the laptop conpletely apart and use q-tips to get all the residue out
[09:34]<jamer> I smell like smoke now too from it
[09:35]<+camerongray> Ahh yeah
[09:35]<+camerongray> That's the one thing I never understand about houses in the US - They are mostly wooden :P
[09:36]<+camerongray> No way that would be allowed here
[09:37]<jamer> Different regulations
[09:38]<jamer> Theres certian areas here that you cant have brick houses at all
[09:40] * PCdoc (PCdoc@825ACFD6.F8E5A480.EE292452.IP) Quit (Quit: Leaving)
[09:40]<+camerongray> Ahh,w ow
[09:40]<+camerongray> Almost everything is brick/stone here
[09:42]<jamer> The only thing really that is brick is the schools .. their cinderblocks though
[09:43]<+camerongray> Ahh yeah
[09:58]<Craig-Work> We have wooden houses, because the wood is cheap in canada and the US. About 1$ per 6' lenght.
[10:02]<jamer> Amd brick is alot more expensive
[10:11]<Craig-Work> I bet AMD brick WOULD be a LOT more expensive.
[10:32]<jamer> Lol .. and*
[10:38]<+camerongray> haha

[12:22]<@BC_Programming> dang now i have almost 300 dollars left in my paypal I can spend
[12:22]<@BC_Programming> I perhaps overestimated the cost of a Wii
[12:25]<+camerongray> lol
[12:25]<+camerongray> "I have too much money"
[12:25]<@BC_Programming> it's a curse
[12:26]<+camerongray> If I'm hoenst though - Try to get it moved into a bank account ASAP - Paypal often block accounts for stupid reasons and this will lock the money
[12:26]<@BC_Programming> I'm buying stuff in ebay
[12:27]<@Calum> also don't they take about a year to move it from Paypal to your bank there?
[12:27]<@Calum> I know here it's practically instant but I remember when it wasn't, so annoying
[12:27]<@BC_Programming> a week or so
[12:27]<@Calum> exactly
[12:27]<@BC_Programming> actually seems like it took nearly two weeks to transfer to paypal this time
[12:28]<@BC_Programming> considering I transferred a day after payday and tomorrow I get paid
