[03:01]<Zuwer> Well, that's interesting, Windows seems to hate the keyboard on my sisters old laptop. Linux works fine.. It's telling me something. :x
[03:01]<@BC_Programming> what does the keyboard do
[03:01]<Zuwer> And I forgot to get a crossover adapter today too. :(
[03:02]<@BC_Programming> it's telling you it's probably a software issue :P
[03:02]<Zuwer> Nah, clearly is hardware. :P
[03:02]<@BC_Programming> You could clearly solve all your problems if you just use Solid Windows XP!
[03:02]<Zuwer> Uhm, pretty much all keys except for a few don't work, and the ones that do are mapped incorrectly. The odd part is, that issue even affects my install disk too.
[03:03]<Zuwer> Heh.
[03:03]<@BC_Programming> I thought it worked fine in *nix?
[03:04]<Zuwer> It does. Tried all keys off the live disk, worked fine.
[03:04]<Zuwer> Oh, duh... Install disk for 7 fails.
[03:07]<Zuwer> It definitely is the weirdest issue I've seen.

[03:34]<Zuwer> Going to take the easy option, tell her to stop being lazy (Even though I am also being lazy) and just buy a wireless repeater.
[03:50]<jamer> Zuwer the staff and lostcoast dont get along well at all
[03:51]<@BC_Programming> of course they don't
[03:51]<Zuwer> Nope, I saw the end of the drama in the mods channel.
[03:51]<@BC_Programming> for a while LostCoast was telling anybody who would listen that he was a IRC Op a few years ago
[03:51]<@BC_Programming> turns out he was just a helper in the #help channel
[03:52]<@BC_Programming> jamer: would it be possible to get a pastebin :P
[03:52]<Zuwer> He was never an IRCop, he was a moderator like in the main channels.
[03:52]<Zuwer> like me*
[03:52]<jamer> He was only a halfop if I remember correctly
[03:53]<Zuwer> Yep, he would have been +h in #mibbit and #help, +o in #chat.
[03:54]<jamer> I remember things like this XD
[03:54]<Zuwer> Anyway, the small section I copied from #help was rather entertaining. Especially when "BattleCam" showed up.
[03:55]<@BC_Programming> that's just LC isn't it?
[03:55]<jamer> Battlecam is basically a bot XD
[03:56]<Zuwer> As far as I'm aware, Battlecam is just Lostcoast's IRCcloud account used for logging and what he thinks, as an alias.
[03:57]<jamer> I use irccloud but lostcoast ... he just abuses the network on connections
[03:57]<Zuwer> The thing I didn't know is my nick has been registered longer than Lostcoasts, just a random fact. I always thought he had been around longer than me.
[03:59]<Zuwer> IRCcloud doesn't look that bad, but I have Mibbit set up how I like.
[04:00]<@BC_Programming> I just use a IRC client
[04:00]<@BC_Programming> also I can use my laptop as an alt because it can get a completely different' hostmask from a different ISP heh
[04:01]<Zuwer> That would useful sometimes. :P
[04:01]<Zuwer> would be*
[04:01]<Zuwer> Geez, I must be tired or something. :x
[04:08]<Zuwer> The only stand alone IRC client I liked was IRSSI, don't know why exactly, just did.
[04:10]<@BC_Programming> So it seems that this company is using VS 2010 Express for the C# side of their work
[04:10] * KindOne (KindOne@D3E522F2.9E3906FD.EDEF1E73.IP) Quit (Ping timeout)

[04:26]<PCdoc> gm back to ch
[04:27]<@BC_Programming> lol
[04:29]<Zuwer> So they don't do the 2 week ban thing anymore?
[04:30]<@BC_Programming> I thought Quantos just kicked him
[04:30]<Zuwer> Nope, kicked and banned.
[04:31]<Zuwer> I lurk in the shadows too much. :x

[04:55]<+camerongray> Zuwer: do you have the log, annoyed I missed it!
[04:56]<Zuwer> From #help?
[05:01]<+camerongray> yeah
[05:01]<@BC_Programming> I demand your finest pastebin
[05:01]<+camerongray> tehehe
[05:01]<Zuwer> I /notice'd it to camerongray.

[05:06]<@BC_Programming> Photoshop: "you aren't doing anything with that processor core here imma throttle it at 100% for no reason"
[05:10]<Zuwer> It must want to feel important.
[05:10]<@BC_Programming> I can't keep it open :/
[05:11]<@BC_Programming> hmm perhaps CS6 is better
[05:16]<Zuwer> Been years since I've done anything with image editing. Except, always used GIMP not Ps.
[05:17]<@BC_Programming> hmm I think it might be a plugin or something
[05:18]<Zuwer> Oh, and that keyboard issue, it gets weird. In the default word-like app in Ubuntu, keyboard works fine, yet the search function in Unity (Whatever it is called) didn't like the keyboard. Honestly have no clue what is up with that laptop. Probably trying to make me look stupid, and succeeding at that.
[05:20]<Zuwer> Same problem happens with USB keyboards too. :/
[05:24]<Zuwer> Hm, in movies they always get answers from people by holding a small gas welder near their head. Wonder if that works with laptops too, we still have a little bit of Acetylene sitting in the bottle.

[10:29]<PCdoc> <patio> Only 1 partition can be set active on a HDD...you cannot boot Windows from an external drive...you are also going about this whole project backwards
[10:29]<@BC_Programming> he's partially right, though I think 7 and 8 can boot externally
[10:30]<@BC_Programming> XP cannot boot from USB because it reinitializes the bus and loses the system drive and BSOD's
[10:30]<PCdoc> yeah ...
[10:30]<PCdoc> i had doubts on that but did a google, he is indeed right
[10:30]<PCdoc> u can have multiple os, but can set only 1 os active
[10:30]<PCdoc> partition active *
[10:30]<@BC_Programming> wait what?
[10:31]<PCdoc> what what ?
[10:31]<PCdoc> g2g ...

[11:49]<@BC_Programming> WEASELS FOR ALL
[11:49]<@BC_Programming> I like how that pull request changes all the imports, rearranges them, and adds .* imports
[11:49]<@BC_Programming> oh wait... no I don't
[11:50]<@BC_Programming> pointless cosmetic changes performed by a IDE Wizard
[11:55]<+Tux2> lol, right?
[11:55]<@BC_Programming> it's like they were bulking it up
[11:55]<@BC_Programming> I couldn't reproduce the migration issue when I checked
[11:56]<@BC_Programming> but I also did a bunch of stuff with the db logic so probably fixed it by accident
[11:56]<@BC_Programming> hmm also it sets the ownerName to the griefprevention admin name :/ that won't work
[11:57]<@BC_Programming> an empty string is the marker of admin.... it will think it belongs to a player named Administrator if that was added
[11:57]<+Tux2> lol, yeah
[11:57]<+Tux2> I just commented on it so that he wouldn't think we were ignoring it
[11:58]<@BC_Programming> I could comment but I'll get called a meanie poopie-face
[11:58]<+Tux2> lol, just close it
[11:58]<@BC_Programming> the typo was a legit thing... I think
[11:59]<@BC_Programming> I would have pulled it when I first saw it if that was all it contained but noooo it had all this other fluff
[11:59]<+Tux2> lol, right? Maven, etc.
[11:59]<@BC_Programming> yeah I forgot the git rm the pom.xml file
[11:59]<@BC_Programming> I guess he updated it lol
[12:00]<+Tux2> BC_Programming: are you closing tickets when it's resolved?
[12:01]<@BC_Programming> not always
[12:01]<@BC_Programming> I can go through some
[12:01]<+Tux2> yes, please
[12:01]<+Tux2> <Eviltechie> You should add an option to turn drops on with grief prevention
[12:01]<+Tux2> <Eviltechie> Also, I beleive there is something that makes animals go away too?
[12:01]<+Tux2> <Tux2> that's for the creative mode protection
[12:01]<+Tux2> * [Eviltechie] is away (zzzzz)
[12:01]<+Tux2> <Tux2> also, turning on drops on in gp for creative mode?
[12:01]<+Tux2> <Eviltechie> Yeah, I use the creative mode, but I don't want drops blocked
[12:01]<+Tux2> <Eviltechie> Nor do I want animals to vanish
[12:01]<+Tux2> <Tux2> have you submitted a feature request ticket on the plugin page?
[12:01]<+Tux2> <Eviltechie> psh, not when you have 200 open ticks
[12:01]<+Tux2> <Tux2> If it's not a ticket, we're not going to look at it, period

[12:33]<@Mulreay> Sorry has to be done !say long_posts
[12:33]<@Mulreay> oops
[12:35]<@BC_Programming> Tux2: what's the thing about animals vanishing? Is that the entity limit for creativeRules?
[12:35]<@Mulreay> I would do it but it would lose it's impact
[12:37]<+Tux2> I think so BC_Programming
[12:38]<@BC_Programming> ahh... I think that's a hard-coded limit too... may as well make it a cfg option instead of based on "creativeRules"
[13:39] * Kevin (Mibbit@mib-C554203.dhcp.aldl.mi.charter.com) has joined #glitchpc
[13:54]<@Mulreay> Sold my soul and accepted a partnership with a YouTube network
[13:54]<@BC_Programming> which one
[13:54]<@Mulreay> RPM
[13:55]<@Mulreay> or maker studios
[13:58]<@Mulreay> I'm of the mind of 'why not' I still keep craetive control and may be I will get more subs. Can't hurt to try
[13:58]<@Mulreay> creative*
[14:02]<@Mulreay> I like on my PS3 that whenever I start 'Need for speed: most wanted' it asks me my nationality.. come on guys cookies have been going for years
[14:09]<+Tux2> lol
[14:12]<@BC_Programming> NFS:Shift does that for me
[14:24]<@Mulreay> Boring Tweeter @b0ringtweets 9m
[14:24]<@Mulreay> Earlier on when I was out, I wanted a cheese sandwich but the shop didn't have any cheese sandwiches. So I had to have a ham sandwich.
[14:41]<@BC_Programming> Gripping
[14:41]<@BC_Programming> That tweet is like a rollercoaster ride... was on the edge of my seat... and then the unexpected twist at the end
[14:41]<@BC_Programming> 10 stars
[14:45]<@Mulreay> heh
[14:45]<@BC_Programming> Won't be long before they make a movie of it I reckon
[14:46]<@Mulreay> It is actually VERY funny to follow as in his tweets and how mind numbingly boring they are
[14:51]<@Mulreay> When do you find out about the job BC_Programming?
[14:52]<@BC_Programming> Oh you missed when I spoke of it earlier?
[14:53]<@BC_Programming> he phoned me yesterday and gave me the number of the Owner of the company
[14:53]<@BC_Programming> I phoned him to arrange a meeting and we decided that I would phone him on Tues. ~9AM and we can figure out where to meet then
[14:53]<@Mulreay> Yeah missed it and sweet
[14:53]<+Tux2> heh
[14:54]<+Tux2> Oh, I'm going to Minecon! :D :D :D
[14:54]<+Tux2> I have a ticket :)
[14:54]<@BC_Programming> I'm not sure if this is going to be a second interview or if he's basically hiring me or what
[14:54]<+Tux2> lol, well, good luck!
[14:54]<@Mulreay> Hopefully he want's to meet his new employee
[14:55]<+camerongray> So someone has a Windows 8 laptop, put 7 on it, Acer doesn't have 7 drivers - "<db100547> guest_88: if the drivers are not available you could try visa ones . some/all may work ."
[14:55]<@BC_Programming> heh visa
[14:55]<+camerongray> lol!
[14:55]<@BC_Programming> no Mastercard!
[14:55]<@BC_Programming> but hah... it wouldn't have win Vista drivers either if it didn't have win7
[14:56]<@BC_Programming> oh also here is something I thought was cool about the BASIC language that was funky
[14:56]<@BC_Programming> apparently you can do substrings like python
[14:56]<@BC_Programming> using stringvar$[5:11] stuff
[14:57]<@BC_Programming> I thought that was a bit weird... clearly they saw that in Python and decided "hey let's put it in this BASIC we have"
[14:58]<@BC_Programming> I'm going to be making more per hour than either of my parents have made their entire life
[14:58]<+Tux2> lol
[14:58]<@BC_Programming> they gonna be jelly
[14:58]<+Tux2> :D
[14:58]<@Mulreay> Well BC_Programming when you become 'the most wanted' in programming remember the small people here in this channel.. and even remember me I can get coffee and turn computers on and stuff.
[14:59]<@BC_Programming> and you can get jelly
[14:59]<@Mulreay> mmm jelly
[14:59]<@Mulreay> and Ice cream
[14:59]<+camerongray> Nice!
[14:59]<@BC_Programming> I do worry how well this remoting thing will work
[15:00]<+camerongray> I do it at work sometimes, works okay, just takes a few seconds to open/save files if they are on the remote machine
[15:00]<@BC_Programming> That is not what I mean
[15:00]<+camerongray> But that machine is in the office on a DSL connection with 1mbps upload
[15:00]<+camerongray> Ahh
[15:01]<@Mulreay> just get some space BC_Programming away from your family so you can skype and what not
[15:01]<@BC_Programming> yes I think the idea is to swap me and my brothers computer location
[15:01]<@BC_Programming> the question is whether I will have to knock any teeth out
[15:02]<@BC_Programming> figuratively speaking of course
[15:02]<@Mulreay> If it means a job and they hold you back 'go for the teeth'
[15:02]<+Tux2> lol
[15:02]<@BC_Programming> no it was my Mum's idea
[15:02]<@BC_Programming> after all if I have a job and my brother doesn't I should have the room heheh
[15:03]<@Mulreay> You should make the rules
[15:04]<@BC_Programming> I can just imagine people bursting in the ask stupid questions
[15:05]<@BC_Programming> like when I was playing the phone tag
[15:05]<@BC_Programming> "who was that"
[15:05]<@BC_Programming> "it was Santa Claus, he wanted me to tell you to mind your own business"
[15:05]<@Mulreay> heh
[15:11]<@BC_Programming> oooh I found the installer for my WLAN cardbus adapter
[15:11]<@BC_Programming> now I can perhaps get internet connectivity on my 440CDX for no reason
[15:18]<@BC_Programming> I cannot believe I used to do all my development on this thing
[15:20]<@BC_Programming> one dya I will thank myself for getting this cardbus adapter working
[15:20]<@BC_Programming> when my desktop, laptop, and other desktop magically stop working, what then will I turn to
[15:21]<@Mulreay> I can't believe I used to game on a laptop with NO gaming potential.. my new MC video includes you BC_Programming with a link to your channel of course.. will be up tommorow. I now have like 4 videos up and waiting but realise that you shouldn't keep pushing them out one after the other.. actually if you want to see I will PM you the link.. it's my FIRST ever build
[15:21]<@BC_Programming> oh how am I in the video
[15:22]<@BC_Programming> oh boy this laptop really is struggling against me
[15:23]<@Mulreay> You made the shuttle sink into the ground.. so I mention you a few times and when I was talking about the redstone under the minecart thingy
[15:23]<@BC_Programming> your newer vids have the shuttle?
[15:24]<@BC_Programming> And I forget sometimes but iirc you are still using your original MC world for SSP?
[15:25]<@Mulreay> No, it's a long story. I found my very old world and had a nostalgic look around.. it's been years. You came up as you helped me out
[15:25]<@BC_Programming> ahh I see that makes sense
[15:25]<@BC_Programming> I don't remember helping with the redstone of your station though, think you did that yourself
[15:26]<@Mulreay> Yeah, but I kept asking you/whining to you that nothing worked
[15:27]<@Mulreay> Just take it as is.. you were a friend back then and you are still a friend.. I will release it tomorrow
[15:31]<@BC_Programming> So here's a question, if I manage to land this job, should I upgrade this desktop or build a completely new one
[15:32]<+camerongray> Hmm
[15:32]<@Mulreay> Can you work of this desktop for a while?
[15:32]<@BC_Programming> I could
[15:32]<+camerongray> I'd probably upgrade most of it, keep stuff like the PSU and case
[15:32]<@Mulreay> Stick with it and then if things go well upgrade
[15:32]<@BC_Programming> but I could also top out the RAM at 16GB and there is no doubt a better Socket 755 CPU I could use
[15:32]<+camerongray> Although, you may be able to sell it and buy all new nice shiny things!
[15:33]<+camerongray> I personally wouldn't upgrade something and keep it on the Core 2 architecture
[15:33]<+camerongray> Can probably get a newer platform pretty cheap on eBay
[15:33]<@BC_Programming> At the very least it needs a Hard drive
[15:33]<+camerongray> And an SSD :P
[15:33]<@BC_Programming> Actually
[15:34]<@BC_Programming> come to think of it
[15:34]<@BC_Programming> apparently every year they get a "bonus" for building a new PC
[15:34]<@BC_Programming> I know odd but hey roll with it
[15:34]<@Mulreay> I'm only saying that it seems that these people can be flaky.. hold off, keep the pennies and wait like 3 months to make sure they won't bail on you
[15:34]<@BC_Programming> They did not set off my flakeyness meter
[15:35]<@BC_Programming> The idea was to wait it's not like I'm going to do this after my first paycheque
[15:35]<@Mulreay> I know, and it sounds like they won't but I want to play devils advocate
[15:42]<@BC_Programming> programmers here will like this
[15:42]<@Mulreay> I may be lowering the tone and I apologise friend.. you will do well out of this
[15:42]<@BC_Programming> somebody was claiming to be a "java expert"
[15:42]<@BC_Programming> they started their sample with "public class example(){"
[15:43]<+camerongray> *facedesk*
[15:43]<+camerongray> In other news, I got a new desk :D
[15:43]<+camerongray> https://fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/1077863_723685600991916_239544655_o.jpg
[15:43]<+Tux2> lol BC_Programming
[15:43]<+camerongray> Look! Something from Ikea that actually went together properly!
[15:43]<+camerongray> Instructions said that it must be assembled by two people, pfft!
[15:44]<@Mulreay> My cousin actually made a HUGE post about java on Facebook and stuff if you would like to see.. I don't understand her
[15:44]<@Mulreay> Nice new desk camerongray
[15:44]<+camerongray> Yeah, thanks!
[15:45]<+camerongray> The monitor shelf is cool - It's actually a regular wall shelf (Happens to be the same colour as the desk) with cupboard legs attached!
[15:45]<@BC_Programming> I don't like it... too mainstream
[15:45]<+camerongray> hahaha!
[15:45]<@BC_Programming> OTOH not liking things that aren't mainstream is getting pretty mainstream
[15:46]<@BC_Programming> oh the balancing act of being a hipster
[15:46]<+camerongray> Underneath is really cool - Got a big metal cable shelf thing so super neat!
[15:48]<@Mulreay> OK I still don't understand this.. would anybody mind if I copy a post here that is very tech oriantated?
[15:48]<@BC_Programming> !say long_posts
[15:48]<@BC_Programming> sorry had to
[15:48]<@Mulreay> I asked
[15:48]<@Mulreay> Up to you guys
[15:49]<@BC_Programming> I wouldn't mind but if it's long the bot might kick you
[15:49]<@Mulreay> It's not that big and should be in one comment hence not that bad
[15:49]<@Mulreay> Interesting but busy week and a half, started off with no experience of Automation Testing and didn't know what my role is, now I've created a Selenium with Grid POC (in java) with multiple browser support, refactored it, designed an automation test framework with bdd (I was then given Automation Tester Role after that) then proceeded to outline the Automation Test Environment Setup (inc VM
[15:49]<@Mulreay> requirements) and entire build and deployment process for the functional testing phase in a document, which has resulted in me being given the role Automation Test Cell Lead. The head of testing is now off on holiday so I've been given the Test Manager role for 2 weeks as well, until he returns when he'll do my 6 month probationary period review (which I'm expecting to go well). Amazing what
[15:49]<@Mulreay> you can do when you work a 50 hour week (or 65 hour with the daily commute to Leeds and back)!
[15:50]<@BC_Programming> All I get from that is "LOOK AT ME I'M BETTER THAN ALL MY CO-WORKERS"
[15:52]<@BC_Programming> well more or less
[15:55]<@Mulreay> FYI as she is my Cousin, I should take offence but she did tell me off once on my spaceandscience website for apperently 'showing my IP' and making out this was THE worst thing ever.. she's also quite mad.. she was born one name and then decided to change her full name to Lexijo Kelly. My mothers side was Kelly, but damn she was not named that dumb ass name. She constantly trys to tell me
[15:55]<@Mulreay> 'how I should run things' on my websites
[15:55]<@BC_Programming> wait what's that about showing IP? I don't remember you ever doing that
[15:56]<@Mulreay> I ran SAS briefly once I beleave off a craig server
[15:57]<@Mulreay> And the URL contained the IP
[15:57]<@BC_Programming> haha
[15:58]<@BC_Programming> as if it's hard to get the IP from a domain
[15:58]<@Mulreay> Exactly
[15:58]<@Mulreay> one sec will try and find the message
[15:59]<@Mulreay> found it
[16:00]<@Mulreay> Just a random observation, you may want to be a tad careful letting your IP be the main address for the website. I've only had the one webserver myself and didn't need to bother masking the address as it was a uni project but I'm sure you can go into the webserver properties to associate it with the dns therefore hiding your ip. There's properly quite a bit on the internet to let you know
[16:00]<@Mulreay> how to do this, obviously this is dependant on which web server you've decided upon (I only ever used apache). I don't know if I ever asked you, what is it you actually do? I'm currently in the process of trying to change careers. I worked as a software engineer for about 4 years, mainly at work I was coding Java, JSP, XML, Javascript, Html, VBA also did quite a bit of testing and page size
[16:00]<@Mulreay> testing, ensuring DDA compliance ect. Always amuses me its rarely what you came into contact with the most at uni that you end up using when you're in industry. It was alright but after 13 years of only studying/doing IT I'm a bit sick of it all! I haven't 'dabbled' in it for years as I always had something I needed to learn which took priority. Hmm also wasn't ever a 'geek' which maybe didn't
[16:00]<@Mulreay> help lol. Ok I'll stop waffling, keep in touch, ask any questions/advice if you want to (though I absolutely don't promise to always know the answer..) Would be nice to know more about you. Alex
[16:00]<@Mulreay> 15 November 2009 21:49
[16:00]<@Mulreay> I understand what you mean about the IP but FYI this is not my website. Also getting an IP from a website is little more than childs play lets be honest. This IP for facebook is 69.63.187.16
[16:00]<@Mulreay> not rocket science. I'm in the beginning stages of creating my own website but not very good at such things my field is more toward TCL scripting. Would love to have some help getting it started especially from a family member. Would like to get to know you a bit more as well I'm not in frequent contact with my extended family so.. cool. Lots of my friends now tend toward the virtual as we
[16:00]<@Mulreay> build websites and mIRC clients. I'm like you no geek but someone who has the know how. Would be great if you could involve yourself in my computer world especially with my new site I want to get. As you stated you have experience in HTML and Java so would be great to get some advice. Also cool because we are related and I have no real contact with any of the Kelly's anymore. Hope this finds
[16:01]<@Mulreay> you well.
[16:01]<@Mulreay> Sorry guys
[16:01]<@Mulreay> !say long_post
[16:02]<@Mulreay> balls to you
[16:02]<@BC_Programming> heheh
[16:02]<@BC_Programming> "I'm sure you can go into the webserver properties to associate it with the dns therefore hiding your ip" That is nonsense as far as I'm aware
[16:03]<@Mulreay> indeed, she is my completely mental cousin though
[16:04]<@BC_Programming> heh no linkedin
[16:04]<@Mulreay> And this was about 4 yrs ago
[16:04]<@BC_Programming> she seems to have a lot in common with db
[16:05]<@Mulreay> She's a complete nut job, as a cousin... I feel ashamed
[16:05]<@BC_Programming> It is ok
[16:05]<@BC_Programming> we all have crazy relatives
[16:06]<@BC_Programming> and you love them but sometimes you just want to run them all over
[16:06]<@Mulreay> I don't love her
[16:06]<@BC_Programming> I meant generally
[16:06]<@BC_Programming> re. Family
[16:07]<@Mulreay> Yeah, she is quite unlovable.. she tried to write a novel/short story.. one sec let me find it
[16:07]<@BC_Programming> lol
[16:08]<@Mulreay> OK found it, are you guys ok with a quick channel flood?
[16:09]<@Mulreay> I will add my answer to this 'idea' as well
[16:10]<+camerongray> Fine by me
[16:10]<@Mulreay> OK that will do :)
[16:10]<@Mulreay> Hey Graham, seen enough of your things, care to be a victim and read mine? Laboured breathing and screams echo through the night, panting as feet stamp and objects unseen clatter to the ground. A shrill cry rips through the air shattering any peace remaining. Lights go on, curtains fluttering, blinds twitching but no one appears. Silence descends more oppressive than peaceful. A cat walks up
[16:10]<@Mulreay> the street, sits down in the middle of the road and licks its paws. An old woman opens the door to try to entice the cat in. Here chu-chu-chu. The cat stops licking its paws and looks up briefly before continuing. The woman steps down onto the pavement, holding the bowl out so the cat can see the meaty offerings. Here chu-chu-chu At the movement the cat looks up, leisurely stands
[16:10]<@Mulreay> looks back down the road before turning and walking over. Theres a good girl, kneeling the woman sets the bowl down as the cat reaches her and rests its paws against her skirt. The cat drops its paws back to the ground, nuzzling its head against the womans hand before looking down to eat the food. The woman notices the red paw prints on her skirt, the prints lead away down the
[16:10]<@Mulreay> road. Getting up and following the prints, the woman turns the corner. There on the ground is an old ghetto blaster in the middle of a pool of blood. Theres a single smudge on the play button, the old woman leans forward and presses the edge of the play button&
[16:10]<@Mulreay> As I've got to know you, you do seem a person who speaks and wants the truth so allow me to speak the truth with you. The story is intriguing and lends to an interesting mystery but I would say there are a few plot holes that spoil it a little. These are picky but I read a LOT and these are the things I would notice. 1: The cat was licking it's paws so where did the marks on her skirt and
[16:10]<@Mulreay> her own path from the middle of the road come from? 2: If the woman turned a corner to find the pool of blood, the cat would have had to travel from around the corner down the road and then sit in the middle of the road with a blood trail still showing.
[16:10]<@Mulreay> ok no worries I read a lot too true good points
[16:12]<@BC_Programming> lol
[16:13]<@Mulreay> Some of the cooments like <@Mulreay> ok no worries I read a lot too true good points
[16:13]<@Mulreay> are from her
[16:13]<@Mulreay> comments*
[16:13]<@BC_Programming> yeah figured that
[16:15]<@Mulreay> I do love people making stories up.. but common
[16:16]<@Mulreay> Best short story I have read for a while is that one on your website BC_Programming
[16:17]<@BC_Programming> the My Little pony one?
[16:17]<@Mulreay> no
[16:17]<@BC_Programming> ok good
[16:17]<@Mulreay> the guy
[16:17]<@BC_Programming> Is it one of my nonsense stories
[16:17]<@BC_Programming> I need to write another one of those
[16:19]<@BC_Programming> "A new version of BASeBlock is available" well that's news to me
[16:20]<@Mulreay> I stopped playing when it got too hard
[16:23]<@Mulreay> Pretend you're a twin by climbing out of the bathroom window BC_Programming, ringing the doorbell and asking your Mum if she's seen your brother.
[16:23]<@BC_Programming> the bathroom doesn't have a window
[16:23]<@BC_Programming> and yes that is odd
[16:23]<@Mulreay> Well that idea is a no no
[16:24]<@BC_Programming> oh have you had a chance to give SpaceEngine a go?
[16:25]<@Mulreay> First time I've heard of it
[16:25]<@BC_Programming> oh thought I mentioned it before
[16:25]<@BC_Programming> it's a planetarium thing but for some reason I find it cooler than any others I've tried
[16:25]<@Mulreay> I think I have one better
[16:26]<@BC_Programming> Better than Celestia anyway
[16:26]<@BC_Programming> I mean of course software
[16:28]<@Mulreay> Going to record a video that would answer 'How would the solar system react' if the Sun was twice the size
[16:34]<@BC_Programming> starting 3ds max... haven't done this in awhile wonder if it will even launch
[16:36]<@BC_Programming> yay
[16:36]<@BC_Programming> now to work on my idea

[18:29]<+camerongray> And now db tries to explain IRC...
[18:30]<+camerongray> <Cydrobolt> Is there nickserv on here?
[18:30]<+camerongray> <db100547> Cydrobolt: yes .
[18:30]<+camerongray> <Cydrobolt> Hello hopebot, how do i get to nickserv?
[18:30]<+camerongray> <db100547> Cydrobolt: you dont , only MOD halfop's and OPS do
[18:31]<@BC_Programming> sigh
[18:31]<@BC_Programming> fail!
[18:31]<+camerongray> lol
[18:31]<+camerongray> He Tried...
[18:39]<+camerongray> lol Mulreay
[18:39]<@Mulreay> Horrible person
[18:39]<@BC_Programming> huh
[18:40]<@BC_Programming> Am I missing something in the CH channel
[18:42]<@Mulreay> No
[18:42]<@BC_Programming> oh ok
[18:43]<@BC_Programming> I wasn't going to join anyway... better off to join the circus
[18:43]<@Mulreay> Just the usually stupidity.. and sadly I have lowered myself
[18:45]<@Mulreay> I just got a little annoyed when I quoted 'db' and he stated 'Ladytron: ingnore what Mulreay just quoted' and I got annoyed as how can we all ignore my quote of what he just said it?
[18:46]<@Mulreay> I just quoted his comment
[18:46]<@BC_Programming> well he was right, it's save to ignore what db says most of the time
[18:47]<@BC_Programming> I'd almost bet that if I joined the channel
[18:47]<@BC_Programming> DB would "suddenly" need to do something
[18:47]<@Mulreay> To 'ignore' a quote of something that was stated a few moments ago is along the lines of saying.. 'forget what I just said'
[18:50]<@Mulreay> This is why I avoid that cess poll these days.. we have enough in fighting here
[18:50]<@BC_Programming> ahh but see

[18:54]<@BC_Programming> aaaand you're kicked/banned without a good reason in 5...4...
[18:54]<@Mulreay> I'm trying for a good ban
[18:55]<@Mulreay> OK would anyone mind a paste post?
[18:56]<@BC_Programming> no do it
[18:56]<+camerongray> Yeah, I'll grab it for you
[18:56]<@Mulreay> You were write though camerongray it wasn't quite racism
[18:56]<@Mulreay> right*
[19:01]<+camerongray> Chat rules: English only, no profanity, no discrimination... wait what's that last one :P
[19:02]<@BC_Programming> I'm sorta on the fence about whether it was racism or not
[19:02]<@BC_Programming> part of the reason being I have no clue what was said... no wait that's the entire reason
[19:03]<+camerongray> Just imitating someone with poor English skills
[19:03]<@BC_Programming> oh , you mean something like this ?
[19:03]<+camerongray> [01:52:44] <lostcoast> how you say in english Rigamarow?

[19:09]<@BC_Programming> fucking POS
[19:09]<@BC_Programming> sorry
[19:09]<@BC_Programming> for some reason this REALLY REALLY REALLY pissed me off
[19:09]<@BC_Programming> and I don't know why :/
[19:10]<@BC_Programming> probably the fact that I cannot find any of my files properly
[19:11]<@BC_Programming> I aqlso wish people would not talk to the television
[19:11]<@BC_Programming> they can't hear you. STFU plz

[19:20]<@BC_Programming> yeah those suck
[19:20]<@BC_Programming> hmm
[19:21]<@BC_Programming> I may have to write a private rant post about the people in the CH channel
[19:21]<+camerongray> private?
[19:21]<+camerongray> "Improves internet speed"
[19:21]<@BC_Programming> private as in "requires a direct link"
[19:21]<+camerongray> Ahh
[19:21]<@BC_Programming> that is it's not listed as a blog post :P
[19:23]<@BC_Programming> I was going to join CH quickly and post one message and then part
[19:23]<@BC_Programming> this one:
[19:23]<@BC_Programming> The reason I stopped hanging out in CH is because put together most of the helpers probably couldn't rival the IQ of a coconut. Meanwhile, the people that actually know what they are talking about have to push these heavy coconuts out of the way in order to help anybody. Meanwhile, when advice or information is requested of coconuts, they simply claim that the refutation is "BS" without
[19:23]<@BC_Programming> actually realizing that the Onus of proof is on the person making the claim. Probably because they are in the Intelligence range where the fact that they can even tie their shoes or count to ten is a small miracle. Doesn't help that some of the coconuts also make up completely nonsense backstories about where they work, which for some reason other coconuts believe, but those of us with basic
[19:23]<@BC_Programming> reasoning skills beyond elementary deduction are easily able to find personal details including what pornographic films they've favourited, their address, as well as the fact that they are unemployed and drawing benefits. Trips to Paris my ass.
[19:24]<+camerongray> lol!
[19:24]<@BC_Programming> I motion that we use the term "coconut" as a secret vernacular to refer to such helpers
[19:24]<@BC_Programming> All in favour?
[19:25]<@BC_Programming> well I'm still going to use it
[19:25]<@BC_Programming> But still I think that just doesn't capture it properly
[19:26]<@BC_Programming> hmm I'm thinking I could work coconuts into the title somehow
[19:26]<@BC_Programming> "One flew over the coconut"
[19:35]<@BC_Programming> nah
[19:35]<@BC_Programming> not worth it
[20:24]<@BC_Programming> I found a snapshot of this breathtaking view of The Milky Way from the surface of Mars
