[06:40]<PCdoc> camerongray:
[07:53]<+camerongray> hehehe - http://www.computerhope.com/forum/index.php/topic,138377.0.html
[07:54]<+camerongray> Oooh, laptops are scary - If you change any parts in them you'll break it :P
[07:54]<+camerongray> Talking about Geek-9pm's comment
[07:54]<+camerongray> It's a hard drive! :P
[07:55]<+camerongray> I've pulled the drive out my laptop during a lecture, it's not hard! (I was proving a point to my friend as to why my ThinkPad was more upgradable than his retina MacBook)
[07:55]<@BC_Programming> yeah I figured that, he's... well not sure how to describe em
[07:56]<+camerongray> lol
[07:56]<@BC_Programming> Windows 8.1 Preview is out today iirc
[07:56]<+camerongray> nice!
[07:56]<+camerongray> My friend was like - "Yours is an ultraportable, bet you can't replace any of it anyway"
[07:56]<+camerongray> I had a screwdriver in my bag (no idea why)
[07:57]<+camerongray> Pull out battery, RAM and SSD and put back together in under 1min :P
[07:57]<+camerongray> Then I got "Well, noone needs to do that"
[07:57]<@BC_Programming> lol then why bring it up
[07:58]<@BC_Programming> "bet you can't do things nobody needs to do!"
[08:00]<@BC_Programming> I've been using this gangster translator on bible verses
[08:01]<+Craig> WOW, what a load of hot air from Geek-9pm...
[08:03]<@BC_Programming> lol I did it with my own site
[08:03]<@BC_Programming> lolz were had
[08:03]<@BC_Programming> http://www.gizoogle.net/index.php?search=www.bc-programming.com&se=Gizoogle+Dis+Shiznit
[08:03]<@BC_Programming> "While I be here, may as well mention one of mah other mo' recent projects- "BASeCamp Survival/Chests". It aint nuthin but a plugin fo' tha Bukkit Minecraft server dat addz all dem bangin-ass features fo' tha purpose of multiplayer contests. "
[08:04]<@BC_Programming> lol instead of "added some jquery to the main site" it's "Added some jQuery ta tha main crib."
[08:09]<@BC_Programming> hmm can't find how to get Win 8.1 Preview
[08:11]<+Craig> torrent? :P
[08:11]<@BC_Programming> Yeah "Windows 8.1 Black Edition" no doubt
[08:13]<PCdoc> for preview, not for permannt use... use on vm
[08:13]<@BC_Programming> Not going to waste my time with a Virtual Machine
[08:14]<@BC_Programming> may as well not bother if I was to do that
[08:15]<jamer> http://forums.mydigitallife.info/threads/45828-Windows-8-1-Preview-Q-amp-A
[08:15]<PCdoc> hp has stopped supporting win7... no drivers availble for there new laptops. many of my clients are like feeling annoyed by this
[08:16]<@BC_Programming> thanks jamer too bad whoever wrote that is a moron
[08:16]<+camerongray> What, like laptops that came with Win 7?
[08:17]<jamer> Yeah
[08:17]<+Craig> What?!
[08:17]<PCdoc> camerongray: laptops that came with win8 dont support win7
[08:17]<+camerongray> Ahh, That's dumb!
[08:17]<+Craig> There's no way they would drop it already, its still fully supported?!~
[08:17]<+camerongray> Well, it's HP :P
[08:18]<@BC_Programming> I like the steps given "1.You start by installingan update packagefrom the Windows 8.1 Preview Download page."
[08:18]<@BC_Programming> which just raises more questions... like what flipping "Windows 8.1 Preview Download page"
[08:21]<PCdoc> http://microsoft-news.com/getting-with-the-times-hp-will-not-support-windows-7-on-windows-8-consumer-pcs/
[08:22]<@BC_Programming> Sounds like your clients didn't do nearly enough research before buying a product
[08:22]<PCdoc> http://www.myce.com/news/hp-warns-for-downgrading-windows-8-to-windows-7-64735/
[08:23]<PCdoc> yeah... they had mental block abt hp
[08:23]<jamer> Hey bc ill find the link for ya
[08:24]<PCdoc> Question:
[08:24]<PCdoc> Can I downgrade from Windows 8 to Windows 7?
[08:24]<PCdoc> Answer:
[08:24]<PCdoc> Yes, customers can downgrade to Windows 7 and you will remain protected by HP product warranties.
[08:24]<PCdoc> However, HP has not tested all Windows 8 platforms for Windows 7 and we may not have your particular drivers available.
[08:24]<PCdoc> If you choose to install a different operating system (OS) and have a problem that requires HP support, you may need to restore the original OS to fully diagnose your problem.
[08:25]<jamer> Bc_programming
[08:25]<PCdoc> lol, if they dont release drivers, obviously that will create problems for the users to get that hardware work
[08:26]<@BC_Programming> My laptop came with Vista and Toshiba didn't have drivers for XP
[08:26]<@BC_Programming> but I was able to get it sorta working
[08:26]<jamer> Http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?linkid=301772
[08:26]<PCdoc> they got no business to force an os on a laptop u own, an os u didnt like or not willing to u
[08:27]<@BC_Programming> Then people should be buying systems with that OS
[08:27]<@BC_Programming> they aren't "Forcing" people to do anything, this stuff is up front
[08:27]<@BC_Programming> if somebody hasn't bothered to research and chooses an HP, they cannot turn around and say HP is forcing them to do things a certain way
[08:27]<PCdoc> but now they are not even manufacturing except for win8 or dos
[08:28]<@BC_Programming> You can't buy new PCs with Windows 98SE either... what is your point
[08:28]<@BC_Programming> jamer: site times out, lol
[08:28]<PCdoc> well, they say the place they bought it from said win7 can be installed. obviously the sales guy didnt have any technical knowledge but had sales target to achieve :P
[08:29]<@BC_Programming> That's not HPs fault, just standard Tech Sales moron
[08:30]<PCdoc> they wanted win7 32bit, they use some old calculation software, whose developement has been stopped in xp era. and same does not work win8
[08:30]<@BC_Programming> then why did they buy a Windows 8 machine
[08:31]<PCdoc> coz they were dumb too =))
[08:31]<PCdoc> are*
[08:31]<@BC_Programming> but of course from their perspective it's everybody elses fault :P
[08:32]<PCdoc> i always have hard times explaining them why the software does not work on there machine
[08:32]<PCdoc> :P
[08:32]<jamer> They probably will release it later today
[08:35]<@BC_Programming> personally I think it would be best for them to start considering alternative software
[08:35]<@BC_Programming> always best to be using software that is being worked on rather than what is essentially an abandoned or forgotten project
[08:37]<PCdoc> they were on some technical of sugar mills plant. and have a software that particularly calculates what ever they want.. in there work. They first found it in there previous jobs, after which they started there own company in partnership
[08:38]<jamer> Hm
[08:38]<PCdoc> as if patio remembers all commands of hopebot and passes them without errors
[08:39]<jamer> Lol
[08:39]<@BC_Programming> hmm what happened?
[08:39]<PCdoc> <Jollywog> Hi guys
[08:39]<PCdoc> <Jollywog> Ive got a 3570k CPU and it's great for ocing
[08:39]<PCdoc> <Jollywog> however i dont know if other hardware would restrict it, for example my mobo
[08:39]<PCdoc> <Jollywog> could i get some advice?
[08:39]<PCdoc> <Jollywog> h61m-usb3-b3 is my motherboard. its very basic

[12:26]<@Calum> woo you managed it!
[12:26]<+camerongray> lol, no idea how!
[12:26]<@Calum> haha
[12:27]<+camerongray> I pressed C, then tab once - Which is what usually makes me say hi to ChanbotVII :P
[12:27]<@Calum> evidently I am now more important
[12:29]<+camerongray> hehehe
[12:30]<@Calum> you'd think Calum would come before ChanbotVII though, alphabetical order and all that
[12:31]<+camerongray> Yeah, this client tries to be smart
[12:31]<+camerongray> Like if I'm talking to someone it'll start suggesting their name first
[12:31]<@BC_Programming> Rainbows for everybody
[12:31]<+camerongray> Yay
[12:31]<@Calum> Ah I see
[12:32]<@BC_Programming> Calum: So you want to try to guess who the "CH_Chat_Helper" was?
[12:32]<@Calum> I was about to ask actually heh
[12:32]<+camerongray> Guess!
[12:32]<@Calum> I'm assuming it was one of the usual suspects?
[12:32]<+camerongray> You said you could do it in 3!

[12:33]<@Calum> I was going to say Dave, but then I remembered the driver stuff, knew it had to be guitar man aka driverspam
[12:33]<+camerongray> Ahh yeah
[12:33]<@BC_Programming> Man that convo... HILARIOUS
[12:33]<+camerongray> But he has 200-odd gb of drivers!
[12:34]<+camerongray> All must be up to date and from safe sources!
[12:34]<@Calum> well, they are hard to find
[12:34]<@BC_Programming> I like how a pirate XP is "from MS"
[12:34]<@Calum> if only there was something that could search the internet....like a search engine....
[12:34]<+camerongray> I mean, using XP nowadays is bad enough, but a hacked version with SP2, tht's ridiculous!
[12:34]<+camerongray> hehhe
[12:34]<@Calum> yeah XP Black edition is terrible
[12:35]<+camerongray> What is it? XP with a stupid theme?
[12:35]<@Calum> pretty much, and some random software thrown in I think
[12:35]<@BC_Programming> iirc it uses Royale Noir as the theme
[12:35]<+camerongray> Ahh
[12:35]<@BC_Programming> but Royale Noir is a good theme, it's mostly just a bunch of other crap
[12:35]<+camerongray> Ahh yeah
[12:36]<@BC_Programming> also as mentioned framedyn.dll has a botnet thing, iirc it does listen for TCP connections which it doesn't normally do
[12:36]<+camerongray> Ahh, lol!
[12:37]<@Calum> I know there are a lot of dubious mods to system files, didn't know it made the PC part of a botnet till I read your comments but it didn't surprise me
[12:37]<@BC_Programming> hmm would be funny to look up the exact botnet thing and try to take over guitar_man's pc
[12:37]<@Calum> it's the dodgiest of dodgy things
[12:37]<@Calum> haha
[12:37]<+camerongray> heheeh
[12:37]<+camerongray> I'm sure you could work it out!
[12:37]<+camerongray> I honestly can't understand why people use XP - I mean, 7 Pro has XP Mode
[12:38]<+camerongray> And if you can't work anything newer than XP, then learn it!
[12:38]<@Calum> indeed
[12:38]<@Calum> I was a die hard XP user
[12:38]<@Calum> now I feel ashamed of my past self
[12:38]<+camerongray> Yeah, Me too - Then I realised that it was ancient :P
[12:38]<@BC_Programming> I thought you still were?
[12:38]<@BC_Programming> or at least XP x64
[12:38]<@Calum> who me?
[12:38]<+camerongray> I used XP x64 for a while, you know that OS that can't run anything!
[12:38]<@BC_Programming> Calum: yea
[12:39]<@Calum> oh oh now it's on! camerongray XP X64 is a fine OS
[12:39]<@Calum> BC_Programming: nah, I switched in 2011 I think
[12:39]<+camerongray> lol - I liked it, but did have some compatibility issues
[12:39]<@Calum> I did and do love XP X64 though
[12:39]<+camerongray> TBH, on old hardware I honestly prefer Windows 2000 :P
[12:39]<@Calum> I had no problems whatsoever with it, apart from some free antivirus software not running on it as it's based on Server 03
[12:39]<+camerongray> Yeah
[12:39]<+camerongray> That was one thing I found, and a couple of screen recorders were dodgy
[12:40]<@BC_Programming> The good thing about X64 is it doesn't have a Service Pack 3. That would be Vista Prelude
[12:40]<@Calum> the reason I didn't want to switch to 7 was because my printer didn't work on it the first time I tried, but then the next time I installed it it was fine, so I have no idea what was wrong at first
[12:40]<@BC_Programming> (And no that doesn't make any sense to me either)
[12:40]<@Calum> yeah Win2K is good for older hardware
[12:40]<@Calum> vista prelude, what the hell...lol, that was weird
[12:40]<+camerongray> Threw 2000 on an old laptop here, could hapily browse the internet, Facebook and everything, and it was pretty snappy! This has a 400MHz PIII and 128mb RAM!
[12:40]<+camerongray> Yeha
[12:40]<@Calum> camerongray: win2k scales nicely, yeah
[12:40]<+camerongray> I was at a client's office today, they were using XP, could have cried
[12:41]<+camerongray> Optiplex 990s and everything!
[12:41]<@BC_Programming> I'm tempted to download this XP Black Edition and then perform a malwarebytes scan on the VM...
[12:41]<+camerongray> Oh yeah, do it
[12:41]<@Calum> that's criminal....no excuse to be running XP nowadays
[12:41]<+camerongray> Or I will!
[12:41]<+camerongray> AND, this is a bank!
[12:41]<+camerongray> You know, where security is crucial!
[12:42]<@Calum> ugh
[12:42]<+camerongray> Yeah
[12:42]<+camerongray> They only opened the offices a couple of years ago at most too
[12:42]<@Calum> that's bad
[12:42]<+camerongray> So it's not like they have been there for ages
[12:42]<@BC_Programming> I think I will clean my current XP VM
[12:42]<+camerongray> They actually bought machines with 7 Pro COAs, and put XP on them!
[12:43]<@Calum> wow
[12:43]<@BC_Programming> VMs are good for running suspicious stuff at least heheh
[12:43]<+camerongray> My school did that as well - Nice Athlon II x2 HP machines, put XP on them
[12:43]<@Calum> indeed
[12:43]<@BC_Programming> I remember that debate years ago in CH about "DirectX 10 on XP"
[12:43]<+camerongray> Along with the £1000 i5 Elitebooks that are only used to run Word 2003!
[12:43]<@BC_Programming> where some kid was saying that it was possible to run DX10 on XP
[12:44]<@Calum> I seem to vaguely remember that...might have been a similar discussion elsewhere
[12:44]<+camerongray> Uni wins though - Windows 7 Enterprise or Linux - All machines at least Core 2 Duo with 2gb RAM, many are i5 2400 with 8gb¬
[12:44]<@Calum> lucky you
[12:44]<+camerongray> Yeah
[12:45]<@BC_Programming> I took it everything they said apart; downloaded their linked "DX10 for XP" package, dumpbin /exports each file
[12:45]<+camerongray> All of Informatics is Linux, rest is Windows 7
[12:45]<+camerongray> lol!
[12:45]<@BC_Programming> then dumpbin /imports, found that half of them were the DX10 files from Vista
[12:45]<+camerongray> Are you doing that XP thing? If not I'll do it!
[12:45]<@BC_Programming> and those files had imports to Vista functions that didn't exist... so it could never work
[12:45]<@BC_Programming> camerongray: yeah want to clean my main XP VM first, went and ran some shady software
[12:46]<+camerongray> Ahh
[12:46]<@BC_Programming> better the VM than my main OS though heheh
[12:46]<+camerongray> bbl, food
[12:50]<@Calum> brb need to reboot

[12:58]<@Mulreay> You had your chance Razer.. done with your headsets now
[12:58]<@Calum> well said
[13:02]<@Mulreay> 2nd headset has gone down the toilet, the EQ/soundcard has yet again got a loose connection.. my £120 headset is now only working because it has cellotape on the side of it. baffles me that the quality is soooooooooooooo bad for such expensive hardware. Gonna get a turtle beach instead for the PC and save £60 I have one for my PS3 and works great.
[13:03]<@Calum> yeah Razer headsets are garbage in terms of build quality and how long they last
[13:03]<@Calum> shame because they're meant to be pretty nice when they're working
[13:05]<@Mulreay> They sound great and the mic is top notch.. the equaliser is great to play with but if it breaks after 'out of the box-5mths' then there is a massive issue. Razer 'gaming by gamers' and built by your mate next door
[13:06]<@BC_Programming> what is the massive issue anyway
[13:06]<@Mulreay> But you know you could always recreate the thrill of the dodgems by strapping a fishing rod to a Micra and driving the wrong way round the M25.
[13:07]<@Mulreay> If I take the tape off BC_Programming I have no audio as the connection is loose, and the one this replaced had the same issue after 6mths but this one started after a month
[13:10]<@BC_Programming> you mean where it connects or goes into the headphones I assume
[13:10]<@Mulreay> No one sec, will supply an image
[13:12]<@BC_Programming> hmm "Windows 8.1 Pro Preview"
[13:12]<@BC_Programming> was about to click download
[13:12]<@BC_Programming> then saw
[13:12]<@BC_Programming> "Download Size:2.44GB"
[13:14]<@Mulreay> http://img856.imageshack.us/img856/6157/ihsi.jpg
[13:15]<@BC_Programming> oh is that a little box that came with em
[13:15]<@Mulreay> the sound card
[13:37]<+camerongray> Back
[13:37]<@BC_Programming> well I'm installing this Black Edition in a VM then
[13:38]<+camerongray> Nice!
[13:38]<+camerongray> I suppose you could do a screencast if you are able to talk
[13:38]<@BC_Programming> not really no
[13:38]<+camerongray> Err... Not nice! :P
[13:38]<@BC_Programming> I just want to run MBAM :P
[13:38]<+camerongray> lol
[13:39]<@BC_Programming> also installing Windows 8.1 preview now :D
[13:40]<+camerongray> Nice, I'll need to try ti
[13:40]<+camerongray> it*
[13:44]<@BC_Programming> on the vanilla server seems spawn has a reasonably sized island of it's own
[13:44]<@BC_Programming> mostly taiga though :/

[13:57]<@BC_Programming> heh
[13:57]<+camerongray> Ahh, :(
[13:57]<+camerongray> Broken?
[13:57]<@Mulreay> yep
[13:58]<+camerongray> Aww, that sucks!
[13:58]<@BC_Programming> No he just likes sending things
[13:58]<@Mulreay> http://img856.imageshack.us/img856/6157/ihsi.jpg
[13:58]<+camerongray> Ahh
[13:58]<@BC_Programming> can you imagine if somebody did that lol

[13:58]<@BC_Programming> "I like sending things"
[13:58]<+camerongray> BAHHA!
[13:58]<+camerongray> See, with sendr, you'll no longer need imageshack for that
[13:58]<@BC_Programming> lol
[13:59]<@Mulreay> heh
[13:59]<+camerongray> It's brilliant, we are actually using it to send files to each other while developing!
[13:59]<@BC_Programming> and yet the site still says it's under construction I am dissappoint
[13:59]<+camerongray> It's not done yet :P
[14:00]<+camerongray> The basic functionality is there, still needs a lot done
[14:00]<+camerongray> User accounts.et
[14:00]<+camerongray> etc*
[14:01]<+camerongray> Getting there though!
[14:02]<+camerongray> I'm going to go so crazy with analytics on it :P

[14:11]<+camerongray> Like why would you use that!
[14:12]<@BC_Programming> that is right after it was installed
[14:12]<@BC_Programming> I'm a bit disappointed it doesn't actually use a black theme
[14:12]<@Mulreay> Is that the whole OS?
[14:12]<@BC_Programming> best case scenario it's XP with a few other programs
[14:15]<@BC_Programming> guess I'll just wait until it finishes

[14:16]<@BC_Programming> careful though always remember admiral ackbar's advice
[14:16]<@Mulreay> in here not in the comments section
[14:16]<@Mulreay> ITS A TRAP
[14:16]<@BC_Programming> precisely
[14:16]<@BC_Programming> wise words from oversized calamari are to be heeded if possible
[14:19]<@Mulreay> He would be your best friend, a woman walks into the bar sits down next to you and you start a chat 'so how are you?' she asks and you reply 'I'm good thanks can I get you a drink?' and as she turns you notice a slight protuberance in the neck area. Next your calimary friend runs in next to you and shouts 'IT'S A TRAP' and all the men run away.
[14:24]<@Mulreay> Though as a person who has <censored> friends I don't condone the redicule of <censored> people. But I thought that was funny and they would too.
[14:25]<@BC_Programming> everytime that word get's sensored I facepalm at mibbit
[14:25]<@BC_Programming> gets censored*
[14:26]<@Mulreay> Which one?
[14:26]<@BC_Programming> well presumably g a y
[14:26]<@BC_Programming> but you know without spaces
[14:26]<@Mulreay> ahh the person typing does not get the censored
[14:27]<@Mulreay> easy to remove from the script, will have a word with jacky
[14:27] * Zuwer (Mibbit@mib-2AE00CE5.jetstream.xtra.co.nz) has joined #glitchpc
[14:27]<@Mulreay> I to think it's wrong to 'censor' it
[14:27]<+camerongray> I think g-a-y is a Mibbit thing
[14:28]<@BC_Programming> cam: yeah
[14:28]<+camerongray> If it says < censored > that's mibbit
[14:28]<@BC_Programming> channel mode or something
[14:28]<+camerongray> All Chanbot does it look for < censored > and warns
[14:28]<+camerongray> Hence if you just type <censored>
[14:28]<+camerongray> Or not...
[14:28]<@BC_Programming> +G
[14:29]<@Mulreay> actually camerongray our bot scripts also have <censored> added, long story
[14:29]<+camerongray> Yeah, some of the blocked words are a bit daft
[14:29]<@Mulreay> Indeed
[14:29]<@Mulreay> I can say wanker
[14:29]<+camerongray> Not as bad as HopeBot though - Warns for "idiot"
[14:30]<@Mulreay> but that's demographic
[14:30]<@BC_Programming> +G is the channel mode. the bots detect <censored> as a bad word among others
[14:30]<+camerongray> At least we removed "cock" after it was warning for cockatoo :P
[14:30]<+camerongray> Ahh yeah
[14:30]<@BC_Programming> I don't think cocktail sets chanbot off anymore at least
[14:30]<+camerongray> Nah, Jacky sorted that
[14:31]<@BC_Programming> heh then later chanbot got revenge by banning me lol
[14:31]<@Mulreay> the issue is when you set the 'bad words' you can set 'whole word' or 'part of a word' which would mean that something like wankertwat gets knocked but not wanker
[14:31]<+camerongray> Ahh!
[14:31]<@BC_Programming> it should be a regular expression
[14:32]<@BC_Programming> just pretend I put a clever regular expression here
[14:33]<@Mulreay> But then you get messed about when you add <censored> as a swearword in your script, that means mibbit takes control over certain words
[14:33]<+camerongray> Yeah
[14:33]<@Mulreay> We could ask pottsi to give this channel some breaks I'm sure
[14:34]<@BC_Programming> or
[14:34]<@Mulreay> Then again only camerongray and I know 'wanker' as an insult
[14:34]<@BC_Programming> foiled again!
[14:34]<+camerongray> lol
[14:34]<@BC_Programming> That ChanServe is like my nemesis
[14:35]<+camerongray> And I have insults tht could get around anything :P
[14:35]<@BC_Programming> almost as bad as that Peer guy that resets my connections
[14:35]<@Mulreay> I think twat is still free
[14:35]<@BC_Programming> or that General Failure guy that tries to read my Drive A:
[14:35]<+camerongray> Bawbag, fannybaws, bawjaws...
[14:36]<@Mulreay> Also we say arswipe rather than as-swipe
[14:36]<+camerongray> lol, yeah
[14:36]<+camerongray> Scottish insults are basically slang terms for body parts combined
[14:36]<@Mulreay> Great being British camerongray ;-)
[14:36]<+camerongray> Don't really work when translated though
[14:37]<@Mulreay> I called someone a 'fuctard' (Mancunian) and that gets past everything
[14:37]<+camerongray> hehehe
[14:37]<+camerongray> My friend comes up with ones that even I haven't heard of :P
[14:37]<@Mulreay> F'ing Retard
[14:39]<+camerongray> I love this new keyboard so much :D
[14:39]<+camerongray> I swear the crappy one at work is giving me RSI - I so want to take mine in, but I don't think anyone else would appreciate the sound!
[14:40]<+camerongray> If you ever want the best keyboard for typing ever - http://www.keyboardco.com/keyboard/original-ibm-style-keyboard-black-usb.asp
[14:40]<+camerongray> Still getting used to how heavy the keys are, but it's great!
[14:41]<@Mulreay> I can type really well on a laptop keyboard but struggle on a normal keyboard when the keyboard is around my crossed legs sat on my bed.
[14:41]<+camerongray> lol
[14:42]<+camerongray> I actually use my ThinkPad at work for most stuff - Main reason is the keyboard at my desk is so bad
[14:42]<+camerongray> Honestly, a LAPTOP is better than it!
[14:42]<@Mulreay> I can type on a laptop but can only game on a proper keyboard
[14:42]<+camerongray> Ahh yeah
[14:43]<@BC_Programming> hmm well I could do SET MLOCK and turn off G but then Jacky might yell at me and he would be able to swear too
[14:43]<@BC_Programming> you know because there wouldn't be +G
[14:44]<@Mulreay> always +G more power to me
[14:44]<@BC_Programming> on a side note windows 8.1 preview uses the Beta Fish for the start logo
[14:44]<@BC_Programming> startup I mean
[14:45]<+camerongray> This is it here: http://apacelli.com/photo/dell/dell-multimedia-keyboard-l20u-black-usb-1.jpg
[14:45]<+camerongray> It looks fine, but it is hell!
[14:45]<@BC_Programming> camerongray: yep, XP Black Edition does force a black theme
[14:45]<@Mulreay> I just meant +G = graham
[14:45]<+camerongray> ahh, cool
[14:45]<@BC_Programming> here is my favourite part though, background desktop defaults to a logo
[14:45]<@BC_Programming> "Windows XP Pirated Edition"
[14:45]<+camerongray> If you hit the key anywhere other than the middle, it can get stuck
[14:45]<@BC_Programming> ironic given Guitar_man's insistence otherwise
[14:46]<+camerongray> And them getting stuck down is fairly common!
[14:46]<+camerongray> No idea why they make them, the old Dell ones with the massive spacebar are pretty good!
[14:47]<@BC_Programming> actually I do like some of these other themes, which make it look like win7
[14:47]<+camerongray> MBAM yet?
[14:48]<@BC_Programming> oh right that's what I was doing wasn't it
[14:48]<+camerongray> lol
[14:48]<+camerongray> WIll probably need a full scan as quick may skip files that are normally system files
[14:49]<@BC_Programming> seems I need VMWare Tools first, can't drag the file over
[14:50]<@BC_Programming> I think we can safely assume VMWare isn't going to install malware itself

[16:43]<+camerongray> Ahh
[16:44]<@BC_Programming> control panel setting and a taskbar setting, not sure why MBAM would find those
[16:46]<@BC_Programming> now to install VS 2013 onto my laptop mwa haha
