[08:41]<+camerongray> Hey jacky
[08:41]<@jacky> camerongray: Hello
[08:43]<jamer> Hi
[08:43]<+camerongray> hey jamer
[08:43]<@jacky> jamer: Hello
[08:44] * ChanServ sets mode: -o jacky
[08:44] * ChanbotVII sets mode: +o jacky
[08:44] * ChanServ sets mode: +o jacky
[08:44] * @jacky practices... in case anybody talks about programming
[08:45] * BC_Programming sets mode: +h BC_Programming
[08:45]<@BC_Programming> Programming?
[08:45]<@BC_Programming> WHO IS TALKING ABOUT IT
[08:46]<@jacky> Quick! BAN somebody!!!
[08:46]<@BC_Programming> USE THE FORUMS! WTFBBQ
[08:46]<+camerongray> lol
[08:46]<@jacky> how dare you laff at BC??!!???
[08:46]<@BC_Programming> you dare mock me insolent one?
[08:46]<+camerongray> I love how Calum kills the other people: http://www.computerhope.com/forum/index.php/topic,137666.0.html
[08:47]<@BC_Programming> I'll have you know I've been using XP Pro for 60 years!
[08:47]<+camerongray> "Durrrrr, SSDs aren't worth the money"
[08:47]<+camerongray> "Durrrr, You should get an Alienware"
[08:47]<@BC_Programming> haha
[08:47]<@BC_Programming> yeah I saw that thread too
[08:47] * BC_Programming sets mode: -h BC_Programming
[08:47]<+camerongray> Calum's response is great "Really?"
[08:47]<@BC_Programming> twice no less
[08:48]<+camerongray> Yeah
[08:48]<+camerongray> And you know how lostcoast says I backtrack?
[08:48]<@BC_Programming> 'backpeddle' I believe was the exact word
[08:48]<+camerongray> Oh yeah
[08:48]<+camerongray> Today a guest was being helped, he comes in and gets them to explain their whole problem again
[08:48]<@BC_Programming> apparently you sell things off your back or something
[08:49]<+camerongray> And do all the steps they had either already been told to do or said you had done
[08:49]<@BC_Programming> has anybody told Jacky the idea for a puffer bot?
[08:49]<+camerongray> Nope :P
[08:49]<@BC_Programming> heheh
[08:49]<@BC_Programming> that would be hilarious
[08:49]<+camerongray> Yeah, and they would have no idea who did it
[08:49] * @jacky is curious
[08:49]<@BC_Programming> detect when people op themselves or half-op themselves and have the bot say "watch out <nick> is puffing up!"
[08:50]<@jacky> har
[08:50]<+camerongray> In CH they do the thing we call the "Puffer Fish" where they hop themselves to warn
[08:50]<+camerongray> Did it to me yesterday
[08:50]<@jacky> 1.) I don't have a spare shell account on which to run such a bot
[08:50]<@jacky> 2.) the cat is out of the bag now, as who knows who all the folks here are.
[08:50]<@BC_Programming> touche
[08:50]<+camerongray> lol
[08:51]<+camerongray> Yesterday I talk to someone about reinstalling vista over ubuntu
[08:51]<+camerongray> db and patio are instantly "You can't just install over, you need gparted and You can't use any vista DVD, has to be the same edition"
[08:52]<@jacky> camerongray: you didn't make the mortal mistakes of being right, being polite, and possibly correcting some moron.... did you?
[08:52]<@BC_Programming> same edition of what
[08:52]<+camerongray> Shut them up by taking a vista home premium DVD and using it to install business over a fedora install
[08:52]<+camerongray> Vista, like you need a home premium disk to install home premium
[08:52]<+camerongray> On Vista it detects the edition from your key
[08:52]<@BC_Programming> I like the one where Windows startup options are in the CMOS setup
[08:52]<+camerongray> Oh yeah!
[08:53]<@jacky> uhhh... I'm not the most 'with it' person.... and that doesn't make sense to me
[08:53]<+camerongray> jacky: lostcoast was getting a guest to find the "Restart on error" Windows setting in the BIOS
[08:53]<+camerongray> "I can't find it" "It IS there"
[08:53]<@jacky> did you ask him where?
[08:53]<@jacky> hehe
[08:53]<+camerongray> lol
[08:53]<+camerongray> I was like FYI...
[08:53]<@jacky> he has recto-cranial inversion. so maybe that is where he needs to look
[08:54]<+camerongray> Even funnier was when patio told me that what I was doing was only possible with Windows 7 and that I must be using the wrong disc - That explains why it said "Vista"
[08:54]<+camerongray> And the fact that they actually removed the feature we were talking about in 7
[08:54]<@jacky> I don't know what is up with patio
[08:54]<@jacky> I've heard you and others make comments like this
[08:54]<+camerongray> Yeah
[08:54]<@jacky> he used to be semi-ok
[08:55]<+camerongray> Him and most of the other ops
[08:55]<@jacky> he must have drunk the Kool-Ade
[08:55]<+camerongray> They think they know everything, make stupid and incorrect comments and then say I'm acting like the "God of all knowledge" by correcting them
[08:56]<@BC_Programming> it's more like
[08:56]<+camerongray> Say jacky - If you had a machine that wouldn't display through it's graphics card but had onboard graphics, what would one first things you would do be?
[08:56]<@BC_Programming> "I know I don't know everything, but I also know I know more than you" type thing
[08:56]<@jacky> try the onboard, to find out if the monitor was ok
[08:56]<+camerongray> Yep!
[08:56]<@BC_Programming> "CALL SUPPORT"
[08:56]<+camerongray> Lostcoast calls that backpedallin
[08:56]<+camerongray> Yeah, call support was one
[08:57]<@jacky> you do know what is happening here?
[08:57]<+camerongray> Along with replacing the monitor cable
[08:57]<@jacky> you are human
[08:57]<+camerongray> lol!
[08:57]<@jacky> you are reacting to the negative vibes.. the sarcasm... the "superiority" attitude
[08:57]<+camerongray> true
[08:57]<@jacky> most of what you say about them... you would let slide, if they were nice people
[08:57]<@jacky> I'm not picking on you. far from it
[08:57]<@jacky> just an observation
[08:57]<+camerongray> Yeah, true
[08:58]<+camerongray> I wouldn't mind as much if they accepted they were wrong
[08:58]<@jacky> it is the way we are... decent people, that is
[08:58]<+camerongray> And were nice to guests too :P
[08:58]<@jacky> see?
[08:58]<+camerongray> Then later someone comes with a similar problem and he goes "You were here yesterday, now you are wasting time"
[08:58]<@jacky> and the response to that is: So What???
[08:58]<@jacky> nobody is getting paid
[08:58]<@BC_Programming> I'm partly tempted to join and see how long before I get banned
[08:58]<+camerongray> Funny thing, new person had a shawcable hostmask (Canadian ISP AFIK), person before had a "Novatech" PC which is a UK only manufacturer of custom machines
[08:58]<@jacky> oh wait! it is interrupting your "worship me" time??
[08:59]<+camerongray> lol
[08:59]<@jacky> BC_Programming: go with a plan. Be sure you behavior is not "bannable", and if you choose to provoke then do it passively
[08:59]<@BC_Programming> for example bets on how many times I can say "LostCoast: that might be good advice, but for a moment let's allow some people that can find their ass with both hands to help"
[08:59]<@jacky> then you have legit complaints, when you get banned. you can then illutstrate how they are
[08:59]<@jacky> which should take about 48 hours! heheheheeh
[08:59]<@BC_Programming> true
[08:59]<+camerongray> That's what I was thinking
[09:00]<+camerongray> Help, get banned for no reasons and complain
[09:00]<@jacky> which is 180 degrees out of what BC said above, while I was typing! heehehehehe
[09:00]<@jacky> tempting as it may be.....
[09:00]<@BC_Programming> yeah
[09:00]<+camerongray> lol
[09:00]<jamer> Keep logs XD
[09:00]<@jacky> what happens if you invite somebody that they say is "wasting time" to here?
[09:00]<@jacky> what happens if you tell them you will PM them?
[09:00]<+camerongray> lol!
[09:01]<+camerongray> I really wonder what most of them actually do as a job.etc
[09:01]<+camerongray> Like db, still can't find anything on him apart from dating profiles and *questionable* sites
[09:01]<@jacky> dating profiles???
[09:01]<+camerongray> And worse...
[09:01]<@jacky> yeesh...
[09:02]<@BC_Programming> "47 year old man seeking 20 year old woman" Yeah, good luck with that buddy
[09:02]<@jacky> he likes 'em "old", huh?
[09:02]<@jacky> >g<
[09:02]<+camerongray> And on the forum he lists his qualifications as "too many to list" and his PC as "probably one of the best noc 2010"
[09:02]<@BC_Programming> I forgot about that, hilarious
[09:02]<+camerongray> You'd think if you had qualifications.etc and a good PC you would actually list it
[09:03]<@BC_Programming> he was a Navy SeaI'm sure he was also a Navy SEAL technician specializing in gorilla warfare
[09:03]<@BC_Programming> and no "gorilla" is not a misspelling
[09:03]<jamer> Heh ill say my qualifications 6 years of owning and fixing my own computers XD
[09:03]<+camerongray> lol
[09:03]<@jacky> where do you get that? too many to list ....
[09:03]<+camerongray> His forum profile
[09:03]<@BC_Programming> db's forum profile
[09:03]<@jacky> right
[09:03]<@jacky> where?
[09:03]<@jacky> looking....
[09:04]<@jacky> http://www.computerhope.com/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=64084
[09:04]<@BC_Programming> it's a rollover thing, "certifications"
[09:04]<@jacky> I must be in the wrong place...
[09:04]<+camerongray> I could say stuff "Grade A in Advanced Higher Computing" but I won't becuase it (a) makes me sound like a show off and (b) Isn't really a worthwhile qualification
[09:04]<@BC_Programming> Certifications:List
[09:04]<+camerongray> "all secret"
[09:04]<@BC_Programming> if you rollover the "List" text it should show a little popup
[09:04]<@jacky> ah.. script blocker
[09:04]<@BC_Programming> yep that would do it
[09:05]<+camerongray> Not that I found his name in a few seconds or anything!
[09:05]<@BC_Programming> you'll have to trust us :P
[09:05]<@jacky> how? you all know more than I do
[09:05]<@jacky> so I MUST resent you
[09:05]<+camerongray> lol
[09:05]<@jacky> it is the IRC way
[09:05]<@BC_Programming> true
[09:05]<@jacky> false!
[09:05]<@jacky> I must argue, too
[09:05]<@jacky> so... you must agree with me
[09:05] * @jacky does some ++++ thing
[09:05]<@BC_Programming> ;p;
[09:05]<@BC_Programming> lol*
[09:06]<@jacky> hehehe
[09:06]<@BC_Programming> ;p; is funnier
[09:06]<+camerongray> And if you look at the URLs for the links under his avatar like facebook.etc he has typed in "Your[sic] joking" as his username
[09:06]<+camerongray> See, I just didn't fill them in :P
[09:06]<+camerongray> Well, apart from Twitter, I don't mind people knowing that
[09:06]<@BC_Programming> ;p; it's like a sideways winking tongue-face with a badly pruned beard
[09:07]<+camerongray> You just described me :P
[09:07] * @jacky huffs
[09:07]<@jacky> http://tinyurl.com/ofzbybg
[09:07]<@jacky> hehehe
[09:08]<+camerongray> lol
[09:08]<@BC_Programming> you overextended yourself
[09:08]<@jacky> over huffed?
[09:08]<@jacky> or over puffed?
[09:08]<@BC_Programming> One of the search results says it all "Watch db100547's XTube Porn Videos here"
[09:09]<+camerongray> Yeah
[09:09]<+camerongray> I certainly avoided that one
[09:09]<@BC_Programming> lol
[09:09]<@BC_Programming> as did I
[09:09]<@BC_Programming> though I might link them the next time he appears on the forum
[09:09]<@jacky> http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQToFeL3yROhka436LyOJd_aIFmDkK4j7Gax-PkCGiVNBQA4G9E
[09:09]<@BC_Programming> "I found out about you"
[09:10]<+camerongray> hahaha!
[09:10]<@jacky> google is a wonderul thing
[09:10]<+camerongray> Tinyurl it and ask him "What's this part in my computer: <link>"
[09:10]<@jacky> before or after he does a +h or whatever?
[09:10]<@jacky> heheheeh
[09:10]<+camerongray> lol!
[09:10]<@BC_Programming> "I'm onto you Dave Bunce"
[09:10]<+camerongray> lol
[09:11]<@jacky> is that his name?
[09:11]<+camerongray> yeah
[09:11]<+camerongray> For someone so secrative he really shouldn't leave his email address on a forum
[09:11]<@BC_Programming> based on a cursory google
[09:11]<@jacky> so with a spoonerism, he becomes Bave Dunce ?
[09:11]<+camerongray> Especially when it contains his nick
[09:11]<+camerongray> BAHAH!
[09:11]<@BC_Programming> clearly more than coincidence
[09:11]<@jacky> hey... it is a legitimate typo... heheheeh <eg>
[09:12]<+camerongray> You'd think if he was that important he would be on linkedin
[09:12]<@jacky> what?
[09:12]<@jacky> what's the matter with you?
[09:12]<@jacky> he IS that important
[09:12]<@jacky> just ask him
[09:12]<@jacky> he'll tell you
[09:12]<+camerongray> Hell, my mum makes cakes and she's on Linkedin :P
[09:12]<+camerongray> lol!
[09:12]<@jacky> don't you understand CH logic?
[09:14]<@BC_Programming> no because it's nonexistent
[09:14]<+camerongray> What is this witchcraft, it appears my mum has changed something on her website without asking me how to do it!
[09:14]<@jacky> BC_Programming: that means you dont' understand
[09:14]<@jacky> and you probably dont' worship at the alter
[09:14]<+camerongray> Got the link in the nav bar and everything!
[09:14]<@jacky> wait
[09:15]<@jacky> perhaps camerongray made a typo
[09:15]<@jacky> camerongray: did you mean impotent ?
[09:15]<@jacky> not important?
[09:15]<+camerongray> heheeh!
[09:15] * @jacky is terrible
[09:15] * jacky was kicked by jacky (ceremonial booting)
[09:15]<@BC_Programming> lol
[09:15] * jacky (the_kink@mib-399E931C.slsbmd.east.verizon.net) has joined #glitchpc
[09:15] * ChanServ sets mode: +q
[09:15] * ChanServ sets mode: +o jacky
[09:15] * ChanServ sets mode: -q
[09:15]<+camerongray> lol
[09:16]<@BC_Programming> hahaha
[09:16]<+camerongray> I also love how CH use kicks
[09:16]<@jacky> oh?
[09:16]<+camerongray> Kick someone, they come back - Instant kick again
[09:16]<+camerongray> Come back, get banned
[09:16]<@jacky> let me ask you....
[09:16]<@jacky> that is not a demonstration of "enjoying" it?
[09:16]<@jacky> sigh...
[09:17]<+camerongray> No asking questions
[09:17]<@BC_Programming> heh
[09:17]<@jacky> it IS ok to 'enjoy' it..... if IF you wait and let the kick-ee PROVE that they are a total troll
[09:17]<@jacky> but being honestly ignorant is not a qualification
[09:17]<+camerongray> Yeah
[09:17]<@BC_Programming> eg. RalphSpencer
[09:17]<@jacky> bingo
[09:18]<@BC_Programming> grepplers
[09:18]<+camerongray> This was someone who wanted to know how to change their IP so they couldn't get hacked, I was trying to explain that knowing their IP doesn't really make them "hackable"
[09:18]<@jacky> is it just me... or does anyone else feel itchy when BC says that?
[09:18]<+camerongray> I was trying to explain that gettin a router would be a big help but he kicked them
[09:19]<@jacky> and what reason was given?
[09:19]<@BC_Programming> I wish closed minds came with closed mouths
[09:19]<+camerongray> Don't help changing IPs, which makes sense since it can be used for illegal reasons but I was trying to help the op better understand why they didn't need to
[09:20]<@jacky> <&BC_Programming> I wish closed minds came with closed mouths <<< speaking to me? heheheehe
[09:20]<@BC_Programming> no of course not mmy lord
[09:20]<@jacky> har
[09:20]<@jacky> "since it can be used for illegal reasons" <<< not good enough
[09:20] * @BC_Programming sets mode +h
[09:20]<+camerongray> And yesterday someone had a laptop that had turned off during a BIOS update, it was almost impossible to show the person how to use HP's built in BIOS recovery through Quantos's shouts of "You need a new motherboard"
[09:20]<@jacky> computers can be used for illegal reasons
[09:20]<@BC_Programming> the h is for "humbled"
[09:20]<@jacky> phones can be used for illegal reasons
[09:20]<@jacky> pencils can be used for illegal reasons
[09:21]<+camerongray> This BIOS recovery thing loaded a BIOS image off of a USB drive, no need for a mobo if it worked and if I wasn't there then the op would have spent loads of money on unneeded parts and scrapped a perfectly good mobo
[09:22]<@jacky> camerongray: nobody really answered this, from earlier... and you have reminded me of it:
[09:22]<@jacky>
[09:22]<@jacky> <@jacky> what happens if you invite somebody that they say is "wasting time" to here?
[09:22]<@jacky> <@jacky> what happens if you tell them you will PM them?
[09:22]<@jacky>
[09:22]<+camerongray> Not sure, normally they would go mad at me but Nathan advised me to do it
[09:22]<@jacky> to do what?
[09:22]<@BC_Programming> probably ad-hoc justifications for their self-aggrandizing on the part of the 'staff'
[09:22]<@BC_Programming> "you're not allowed to do that"
[09:22]<+camerongray> Take programming stuff or long complex things to PM or another channel
[09:22]<@BC_Programming> "why not"
[09:22]<@BC_Programming> "it's a rule"
[09:22]<@BC_Programming> "where is the rule"
[09:22]<@BC_Programming> etc.
[09:23]<+camerongray> But they all listen to LC and don't care what Nathan says (baconbuttie said this explicitly)
[09:23]<@jacky> camerongray: then DO take it to PM. often
[09:23]<+camerongray> Yeah :P
[09:23]<@jacky> that will solve a LOT
[09:23]<@jacky> isn't baconbuttie just another instance of LC himself?
[09:23]<@BC_Programming> I've had people randomly PM me that are only in CH a few times
[09:23]<+camerongray> Acts like him (In the UK unfortunately)

[09:23]<+camerongray> hey Calum
[09:23]<+camerongray> jacky: Hostmask
[09:23]<@jacky> speak of the devil!!
[09:24]<@jacky> hehe
[09:24]<@Calum> hey camerongray
[09:24]<@Calum> uh-oh
[09:24]<@jacky> camerongray: ever heard of a proxy?
[09:24]<@jacky> hehe
[09:24]<@BC_Programming> Say Calum I heard that SSD weren't worth the price DERPA DERP
[09:24]<@jacky> Calum: hello good morning!
[09:24]<@Calum> derp derp derp herp derp
[09:24] * @Calum is pretty good at computers
[09:24]<@jacky> now camerongray: I gave you some links earlier, to help you puff
[09:24]<@Calum> ever notice how people that say that, inevitably aren't?
[09:24]<@BC_Programming> that thread was HILARIOUS... "use alienware" and "SSDs aren't worth it"
[09:24]<+camerongray> lol
[09:24]<@jacky> I'm good a nuclear bombs
[09:25]<+camerongray> I loved that post for someone speccing a PC
[09:25]<@Calum> I am ALL OVER that thread
[09:25]<@Calum> just waiting for Carbon
[09:25]<+camerongray> "Get an Alienware" "SSDs are pointless"
[09:25]<@BC_Programming> Even I know how dumb that is and I'm not even much of a builder!
[09:25]<+camerongray> SSDs make a huge difference!
[09:25]<@Calum> get an Alienware with a 690. You know, the $1000 GPU...for a $1500 build...yeah
[09:25]<@Calum> also, the 670 outperforms two 680s, did you know that?
[09:25]<+camerongray> I was using my x220 the other day to test something/prove a point to patio and DB and while it was super fast with an SSD, actually felt sluggish with its 7200rpm HDD
[09:26]<+camerongray> And the probook with a 5400rpm HDD feels pretty slow!
[09:26]<@Calum> SSD is all you need
[09:26]<+camerongray> Yeah!
[09:26]<+camerongray> I built a PC for a friend's parents, Celeron with SSD
[09:26]<+camerongray> Lightning fast!
[09:26]<@Calum> exactly
[09:27]<@Calum> but they're not worth it
[09:27]<@BC_Programming> heheh
[09:27]<@Calum> based on exactly 0 real world experiences
[09:27]<@BC_Programming> Because Carbon has Decreed it to be so
[09:27]<+camerongray> Then a month or so later built the exact same machine with an i3 for someone else
[09:27]<+camerongray> But don't tell CH, it's a Biostar motherboard so will clearly break in a month
[09:27]<@Calum> I love how he didn't respond to any of the rest of my post, where I questioned how an inferior card is faster than something literally over twice as fast.
[09:28]<+camerongray> Yeah
[09:28]<+camerongray> You missed yesterday!
[09:28]<@Calum> in the chat?
[09:28]<+camerongray> yeah
[09:28]<+camerongray> Somone had a laptop with Ubuntu and couldn't work it so wanted to put Vista back
[09:28]<+camerongray> Didn't have a DVD
[09:28]<+camerongray> I told them to borrow one and it doesn't matter the edition (Vista)
[09:28]<@Calum> I spent way too much time helping that guy with his watercooling, I had to catch up on other things heh
[09:28]<+camerongray> DB - "You need gparted to install windows over ubuntu"
[09:29]<@Calum> oh really.
[09:29]<+camerongray> patio - "The editions have to match"
[09:29]<+camerongray> patio - "What you are saying is true only with 7 and newer)
[09:29]<@Calum> Disappointing yet not unexpected
[09:29]<+camerongray> You know, the way they removed the "Install any edition" thing with 7
[09:29]<@Calum> yeah, with 7 you have to edit the cfg file to do that
[09:29]<+camerongray> Yeah
[09:30]<@Calum> so he had that 110% backwards heh
[09:30]<@Calum> nice
[09:30]<+camerongray> So I take my x220 and a vista DVD (ISO on the Zalman) boot it, pick vista business from the list of editions and install over the fedora partition on the drive
[09:30]<+camerongray> Wouldn't even admit to being wrong then!
[09:31]<@Calum> witchcraft
[09:31]<+camerongray> At one point patio even said I must have been using a 7 DVD
[09:31]<@Calum> oh dear
[09:31]<+camerongray> Because I can't see the difference between "7" and "Vista"
[09:33]<+camerongray> Calum: Ever googled db's nick?
[09:33]<+camerongray> It's rather "enlightening"
[09:33]<@Calum> I haven't, no
[09:33]<+camerongray> Be careful where you click though...
[09:33]<@Calum> heh, what is it? save me joining the channel to find it
[09:33]<+camerongray> db100547
[09:34]<+camerongray> Starts a few pages in
[09:34]<+camerongray> Page 3 especially
[09:34]<+camerongray> And ironically!
[09:34]<@Calum> I just expelled coffee from my mouth forcefully
[09:34]<+camerongray> hahah!
[09:34]<@Calum> I was not expecting that haha
[09:35]<@jacky> I must not be doing it right
[09:35]<@jacky> what am I looking for?
[09:35]<@Calum> for me it was right at the top of page 3, also about halfway down
[09:36]<@jacky> this is first on page 3, for me: Il mio mondo eBay - db100547
[09:36]<@Calum> not sure if google.com will give you a different result to google.co.uk
[09:36]<+camerongray> jacky: Might want to do it in a private browsing session, for the content and the fact that google won't take into accound previous searches
[09:36]<@Calum> that was the second one down on page 3 for me, maybe it's on the bottom of page 2?
[09:36]<@jacky> camerongray: lost me
[09:37]<+camerongray> Just click through the pages
[09:37]<@jacky> bottom of page 2: DB100547 pdf Datasheet P1 Part Num --- IC-ON-LINE
[09:37]<+camerongray> What we are talking about will stand out!
[09:37]<@jacky> what is a private browsing session? and what is that about "google won't take into account.... " ?
[09:38]<+camerongray> Google uses your search history to order results which may throw off the ordering
[09:38]<@Calum> wait what....I just googled it again and the result we're talking about isn't there? Was going to get a screenshot
[09:38]<@jacky> this one? : db100547's online dating profile. Age 27 from - CheekyFlirt
[09:38]<+camerongray> Your browser has a "Private browsing" feature that doesn't send old cookies
[09:38]<+camerongray> There is that one...
[09:38]<+camerongray> And worse :P
[09:38]<+camerongray> I'll screencap
[09:38]<@jacky> camerongray: that rings a bell.... I'd forgotten about that Private Browsing thing in the browser
[09:39]<@Calum> I found it, there are a few other online dating profiles too but that's not the worst heh

[09:41]<@jacky> re: db100547 ok... you've told me it is his initials. but what is the rest of it?
[09:41]<@Calum> I wouldn't have gone through that heh
[09:41]<@BC_Programming> random numbers I suppose
[09:42]<@jacky> BC_Programming: nah. I bet not
[09:42]<@BC_Programming> maybe the start of his SIN number given how bad he is at this
[09:42]<@jacky> but ok... maybe it has meaning only to him
[09:42]<+camerongray> Could be anything
[09:42]<@jacky> my Social Security number is 2 . (I'm old)
[09:42]<@BC_Programming> bahaha
[09:42]<+camerongray> For example, where "camerongray" is taken I use "camerongray1515" like on eBay - 15 is my house number
[09:42]<+camerongray> hahaha!
[09:43]<@BC_Programming> remember when the dead sea was just sick?
[09:43]<@Calum> I found another one of "those" sites with his profile, too

[09:45]<@jacky> camerongray: don't let 'em hassle you over that typo. I do it almost every time, and have to backspace

[10:03]<@BC_Programming> uh
[10:03]<@jacky> wow
[10:03]<@Calum> oh Chanbot
[10:03]<@BC_Programming> what triggered that one

[10:04]<@BC_Programming> molotov?
[10:04]<@Calum> menacing
[10:04]<@BC_Programming> menacing?

[10:05]<@Calum> yeah do that
[10:05]<@jacky> Oh yes! that is a proven theory
[10:05]<@jacky> hehehe
[10:05]<@jacky> works every time
[10:05]<@jacky> well... every time that Nathan has anything to do with it
[10:05]<@jacky> heheheeh

[10:09]<@Calum> I remember that I think

[14:42]<@BC_Programming> lol
[14:42]<@BC_Programming> that's why he was there!
[14:51]<+camerongray> lol
[14:51]<+camerongray> Then he's like "How's your vista install" you know, the one that him and DB said is impossible
[14:51]<+camerongray> My response...
[14:51]<+camerongray> [21:51:11] <camerongray> patio: I haven't installed any drivers yet so can't use it but my isntall of Vista Business from Home Premium media on a drive that used to contain an install of Fedora 18 on an Ext4 partition appears to work fine!
[14:52]<+camerongray> Dang, I should have added "Home Premium (That supports aero) media"
[14:52]<@BC_Programming> the issue I think is that they refuse to actually look this stuff up
[14:52]<@BC_Programming> or do their own research
[14:52]<@BC_Programming> They <think> it's X, so they insist it is X
[14:52]<@BC_Programming> even AFTER being proven wrong
[14:52]<+camerongray> [21:52:24] <patio> Congrats...i still say it wasn't an MS CD
[14:52]<+camerongray> Still won't admit he's wrong
[14:53]<@BC_Programming> case and point
[14:53]<@BC_Programming> haha I just had a devious idea
[14:53]<@BC_Programming> post a new faq on CH
[14:53]<@BC_Programming> "how to install any Edition of Vista with any Edition of the Vista Disc"
[14:54]<@BC_Programming> and inside "If you are installing over a Linux installation, you do not need gparted. There are people that think this is the case, however you can safely disregard this as well as any other advice they give you"
[14:55]<+camerongray> <patio> Laff all you want ...that's not an MS CD.
[14:55]<+camerongray> <camerongray> Do you want me to get an MS CD, because I have done the exact same thing with that too!
[14:55]<+camerongray> <camerongray> Reason I used the digital river ISO is becuas the laptop (ThinkPad x220) does not have a DVD drive
[14:55]<+camerongray> Aww, can't spell laugh
[14:55]<+camerongray> AFIK digital river IS MS
[15:02]<+camerongray> [22:01:46] <patio> camerongray: You don't have retail...i do...it does NOT work version to version.
[15:02]<+camerongray> I know what I own!
[15:05]<+camerongray> BC, you are a god!
[15:05]<@BC_Programming> uh... that's not me!

[20:45]<@BC_Programming> I warn you!
[20:45]<@BC_Programming> heh
[20:47]<Zuwer> :o That's a nick I haven't seen surfaced in a long time, Street1. :s
[20:47]<@BC_Programming> yes. the reason you haven't seen it in a long time is because he passed away :(
[20:48]<Zuwer> Yea, chatted with him a couple of times in another channel, can't remember which though.
[20:49]<@BC_Programming> could have been the CH channel
[20:50]<Zuwer> I think it may have been #wazza when Guitar_Man used to go in there.
[20:53]<Zuwer> Reminds me a bit of a community I came from before IRC, if it wasn't for this guy http://www.network54.com/Forum/613674/ , I would have never found this IRC network, he used his account to post a QBasic script I made about 7 years ago, when that community started falling apart another guy and myself moved to IRC.
[20:55]<Zuwer> Heh, also remember being paranoid about registering because it said you had to be 13 or above to register on those forums.
[20:57]<@BC_Programming> heh QBASIC, good times
[20:58]<Zuwer> It had it's moments, then moved to web dev side of things, and stopped after PHP. Haven't done anything related to that in a couple of years now. D:
[20:58]<@BC_Programming> I worked in VB6 for far too long
[20:59]<@BC_Programming> started working with C#
[20:59]<@BC_Programming> and within a year I won a Microsoft C# MVP Award :D

[21:06]<@BC_Programming> I've either gotten very popular recently or I'm being DDoS'd
[21:07]<@BC_Programming> I find the timing rather impeccable
[21:08]<Nat> BC_Programming, its like i alaways say, i judge the quality of my website entirely on the amount of Russian spammers i get
[21:08]<@BC_Programming> lol
[21:09]<@BC_Programming> I think it was my webhost, or my connection
[21:09]<@BC_Programming> though it did say an error connecting to the DB so it can't be entirely client side
[21:11]<@BC_Programming> maybe I should stop using it to host random images for well-trafficked forums
[21:11]<Nat> ;)
[21:13]<@BC_Programming> seems to be fine now, wonder how long it was out
[21:15]<Zuwer> For the first time today, I got the timing right, went outside and it didn't suddenly start raining. When I got firewood for my granddad using the tractor, got soaked, when pushing a wrecked car on to the trailer (Cleaning up the old wrecks my granddad has collected over the years), it started raining then too. :(
[21:16]<@BC_Programming> that sucks
[21:16]<Zuwer> For us, the temperatures we are having is freezing, which is only like 9C and then the wind chills.
[21:17]<@BC_Programming> in May?
[21:17]<Zuwer> In NZ it is practically Winter.
[21:17]<@BC_Programming> ahh
[21:17]<Zuwer> And... Now there is thunder.
[21:19]<Zuwer> So... Been chilled by southerly winds, caught in a short hail storm with no cover, rained on and very nearly slipped in the mud... Really isn't my day today.
[21:19]<@BC_Programming> always tomorrow

[21:42]<+Craig> :P
[21:42]<+Craig> Its not like he could permaban you
[21:42]<@BC_Programming> you were there Jacky told me to swear
[21:42]<+Craig> No?
[21:42]<@BC_Programming> oh maybe not
[21:42]<@BC_Programming> we were testing the swear list
[21:43]<@BC_Programming> because it flagged some words that weren't sweares but had swears in them
[21:43]<+Craig> Hahahah nice
[21:43]<+Craig> :P
[21:43]<+Craig> Apparently that needs to be checked :P
[21:43]<@BC_Programming> no jacky removed the ban but it was still in chanbot
[21:44]<@BC_Programming> so when it reconnected and saw me it readded the ban
