[05:01]<@BC_Programming> I mean it's got their... heart, their stomach, their intestines... ok now I'M not helping
[05:02]<@BC_Programming> they make up fancy names for the liquid that they immerse themselves in
[05:02]<@BC_Programming> "Oyster Liquor"
[05:02]<@BC_Programming> I don't think they call the liquid around our brains "Human Liquor"
[05:08]<@BC_Programming> hmmm I should probably look up what they'll look like
[05:08]<+camerongray> That'll really make you want to eat them :P
[05:09]<@BC_Programming> oh heeellll no
[05:10]<@BC_Programming> http://img.21food.com/userimages/bestband/bestband$111521812.jpg
[05:10]<@BC_Programming> WTF are the leaves for
[05:10]<@BC_Programming> those don't make them look any more edible
[05:10]<+camerongray> lol!
[05:10]<@BC_Programming> then again lots of people do like them too
[05:12]<@BC_Programming> and if I turn out to like them there are a bunch of them just sitting around for some reason

[12:27]<+Craig> hEY cALUMN
[12:27]<+Craig> Oops
[12:27]<+Craig> Hey Calum
[12:27]<@Calum> heh, hey Craig
[12:28]<@Calum> how's it going?
[12:28]<+Craig> Good, what are you up to?
[12:28]<@Calum> Not too much, just got home from work and ate
[12:29]<@Calum> Been a long day heh
[13:21]<+camerongray> Hey Calum
[13:21]<@Calum> hey Cameron, posted your stuff today
[13:21]<@Calum> £8, jeez, forgot Royal Mail are trying to clear the national debt all on their own nowadays, should've used a courier heh
[13:22]<+camerongray> lol, thaks
[13:22]<@Calum> no worries
[13:22]<+camerongray> I wonder when it will arrive, I ordered 2 first class things on saturday, still not arrived!
[13:23]<+camerongray> The laptop keyboard arrived though and works but that just came with the regular post
[13:23]<@Calum> cool
[13:24]<+camerongray> Even Sh*tty Link and Yokel delivered on time this week!
[13:24]<@Calum> I am staggered
[13:24]<+camerongray> Yeah
[13:24]<+camerongray> The dread that I felt when I saw "Your order will be delivered by Yokel"
[13:24]<@Calum> Did I ever tell you about the one and only time I ordered something that was delivered with Citylink?
[13:25]<+camerongray> Nope :P
[13:25]<@Calum> They didn't deliver, surprisingly, didn't leave a card, lied about leaving a card, lied about where my house was "oh it has a red door" no it doesn't....then changed the tracking info on their website
[13:25]<+camerongray> hahaha
[13:25]<@Calum> so I went to their depot, which the closest one is down a road which is made entirely of potholes
[13:26]<@Calum> finally found the door, which was held closed by string
[13:26]<+camerongray> Actually, Yokel did leave the box on the doorstep without ringing
[13:26]<@Calum> waded in and the woman on the counter just looked at me and said "what do you want?"
[13:26]<@Calum> so I skimmed the card in her general direction and sat down and waited half an hour for her to come and give me my parcel
[13:26]<@Calum> I said not a single word
[13:26]<+camerongray> Like how dare you want to collect a parcel from the parcel collection
[13:27]<@Calum> just wrote a complaint to Canon, who the parcel was from
[13:27]<@Calum> and now Canon don't use Citylink
[13:27]<+camerongray> lol!
[13:27]<@Calum> it was just the way she said it...ordinarily I wouldn't get so wound up but she was deliberately obnoxious
[13:28]<+camerongray> I had to pick up my Nexus 4 from TNT, the Edinburgh Depot is at the Airport so first had to wait 30mins until they stopped offloading planes then had to get a security pass where I was escorted to a room where the drivers seemed to clock in with a hand wriitten sign saying "customer collection"
[13:29]<@Calum> sounds crazy, never had to collect anything from TNT but my closest depot is probably at the airport too
[13:29]<+camerongray> Yeah
[13:29]<+camerongray> And when I bought the server case - "Do you want UPS or DPD" - Such a tough choice
[13:29]<@Calum> heh
[13:30]<@Calum> Destroy Parcels Daily
[13:30]<+camerongray> Yeah :P
[13:32]<+camerongray> Royal Mail have usually been okay
[13:32]<+camerongray> Never had a problem with UPS either
[13:33]<@Calum> Yeah UPS are alright

[18:19]<+camerongray> Oooh, our big business IT expert has some great advice:
[18:19]<+camerongray> [01:18:42] <db100547> who uses windows server when Linux running apache is better ?
[18:19]<@BC_Programming> lol
[18:20]<@BC_Programming> Because apparently for him "Server" means "Web Server"
[18:20]<+camerongray> lol!
[18:20]<@BC_Programming> the specific answer of course is "Lots of people and companies"
[18:21]<+camerongray> Actually - I remember him talking to someone about how his big company is doing something with Access databases
[18:21]<@BC_Programming> bahaha
[18:21]<+camerongray> I honestly wonder if he is making this up as he goes along
[18:21]<@BC_Programming> Who would use Access databases when Linux running MySQL is Better?
[18:21]<+camerongray> hahaha!
[18:22]<+camerongray> I'm contemplating Windows server essentials for the one that I'm building with the parts from Calum
[18:22]<+camerongray> Not sure though
[18:22]<@BC_Programming> ASP.NET is actually easier to work with than PHP IMO
[18:23]<+camerongray> Hmm, never looked at it
[18:23]<@BC_Programming> I mean for debugging and stuff, since it's supported directly by VS... just run it from there and it opens in a browser
[18:23]<+camerongray> Normally I would go Debian but thinking Windows might be easier since the machine will be a NAS and printserver
[18:23]<@BC_Programming> breakpoints and all that good stuff work.. much better than putting echo all over the place heh
[18:24]<+camerongray> True
[18:25]<@BC_Programming> that's also the most annoying thing about bukkit plugins, having to put System.out.println() all over the place for debugging stuff
[18:25]<@BC_Programming> ...then forgetting it's there and having people complain about their console being spammed
[18:26]<+camerongray> lol, yeah
[18:26]<+camerongray> The other funny thing with DB was this person was runnign a game server, you know, witha Windows game
[18:28]<@BC_Programming> db probably just makes it all up... if he is part of a company I doubt he's an integral part or else it would have collapsed to his level of incompetence
[18:29] * Nepherius (Nepherius@9C1136C3.69522BE5.58A5B56D.IP) Quit (Ping timeout)
[18:29]<+camerongray> Once he was sayinng that he managed all the IT systems in europe and asia
[18:29]<+camerongray> And dropped military in somewhere
[18:29]<@BC_Programming> lol
[18:29]<@BC_Programming> "I was a Navy seal specializing in gorilla warfare"
[18:29]<+camerongray> lol
[18:30]<@BC_Programming> that is you know fighting with gorillas
[18:30]<+camerongray> I googled his name, can't find ANY reference to him - YOu'd think someone that big would at least be on linkedin
[18:31]<@BC_Programming> I'm sure he has some BS excuse for that one
[18:31]<+camerongray> lol
[18:31]<+camerongray> Not questioned him, he's so secrative he'd freak out that I knew his name
[18:31]<+camerongray> YOu know, that you can't find on google
[18:31]<@BC_Programming> hheh
[18:32]<@BC_Programming> he's secretive because he has nothing to hide. THat is, literally, he is hiding that there is nothing
[18:32]<+camerongray> Literally a case of search his nick, find somewhere his email address is posted which has his name@nick.plus.com and I know he uses Plusnet (ISP)
[18:33]<@BC_Programming> not hiding it very well, evidently
[18:33]<+camerongray> Also, you'd think you would use different nicks between IRC and *questionable* sites :P
[18:33]<@BC_Programming> yeah I was glad when demonoid shut down for that reason lol
[18:33]<+camerongray> lol, not that king of *questionable* :P
[18:35]<@BC_Programming> lol
[19:01]<@BC_Programming> I love how all the browsers will soon learn the same lesson learned by Office with Word 95
[19:01]<@BC_Programming> Word 95: Cool, we totally circumvented the Window Manager, now we manage the caption buttons ourselves... all for italicized Titlebar text
[19:02]<@BC_Programming> Chrome/IE9/IE10/Firefox: Hey we heard that handling the non-client area of a window is a bad idea, so we decided to do that
