[03:41]<+camerongray> BC_Programming: At uni we were discussing informatics/maths pickup lines, as you do :P
[03:41]<+camerongray> They got quite out of hand very quicky :P
[03:43]<@BC_Programming> lol
[03:44]<+camerongray> At least we weren't trying to be serious :P
[03:44]<@BC_Programming> "You are a field in my class, but you'll always be protected"
[03:44]<+camerongray> hahaha
[03:45]<+camerongray> Nah, some got a lot worse, involving magnetic storage
[03:45]<+camerongray> Right, who thought it would be a good idea to generate user IDs bigger than integer?!?!
[03:46]<+camerongray> There are certainly not over 12 bllion users
[03:46]<@BC_Programming> usually when they are created through a hash to avoid hash collisions
[03:47]<+camerongray> Hmm, they are just incrementing integers
[03:47]<+camerongray> Although it jumps from 29802 to 12884901887 :P
[03:49]<@BC_Programming> heh I thought of another one "You're a lost chain and I'm chkdsk- I was destined to find you"
[03:49]<+camerongray> hahaha!
[03:54]<+camerongray> Woo, it works now :F
[03:54]<+camerongray> :D*
[03:54]<+camerongray> Although now I need to sit for like 30mins waiting for the damn thing to run
[04:26]<Erika> hi
[04:27]<+camerongray> hey
[04:28]<Erika> o.o
[04:28]<Erika> sup

[09:30]<@jacky> sure..
[09:30]<@jacky> a moment
[09:30]<@jacky> dang... what's that other server address?
[09:31]<+Craig> 55030
[09:31]<+Craig> You should use putty and just save the addresses :P
[09:31]<@jacky> no... where the other bot is... save me looking up that irc network
[09:31]<@jacky> I do use putty

[09:42]<@jacky> :)
[09:43]<@jacky> so does this now, too. :) : http://bc-programming.com/index.php?page=irc
[09:44]<+Craig> HAHAHAH, I forgot to remind you about that :P hahahaha
[09:45]<@jacky> (I just remembered that myself) heheehehe
[09:45]<@jacky> but I did manage to remember to fix it, and check it for a couple days
[09:45]<+Craig> Cool,
[09:45]<@jacky> even found some oddity with BC's search thingy, told him, and he immediately fixed that too
[09:45]<@jacky> :)
[09:48]<@jacky> Craig: anything else for now?
[09:48]<@jacky> else... I'm about to be leaving.
[09:48]<@jacky> :)
[09:48]<+Craig> Not that I know of, happy to get to restart the machine for updates thanks.

[12:53]<@BC_Programming> hey Calum
[12:54]<@Calum> Hey BC, how goes it? Not run out of water yet?
[12:54]<@BC_Programming> lol
[12:54]<@Calum> I drank 2 litres today, doing my part to ruin the world
[12:55]<@BC_Programming> http://s8.postimg.org/b27m8zt51/Bloomberg_Talking_About_The_Death_of_PC.png
[12:55]<@BC_Programming> They were discussing how the PC is dead. the refutations to their point are circled
[12:55]<@Calum> haha
[12:55]<@Calum> oh the irony
[12:56]<@BC_Programming> it's almost as if they are completely disconnected with reality... oh wait that's the truth
[12:57]<@Calum> lol yep
[12:59]<@BC_Programming> I've noticed this trend, where on Gaming Forums people put on this air of knowing more about what they are talking about
[13:00]<@Calum> Yeah, they generally do, not sure why
[13:01]<@BC_Programming> then I point out how terribly wrong they are on the topic of Programming
[13:01]<@BC_Programming> and they just dig themselves deeper
[13:01]<@BC_Programming> actually it's kind of fun
[13:01]<@Calum> heh
[13:02]<@BC_Programming> I also like when they say "I never mentioned that" so I respond with only a single quote from one of their previous replies that says exactly that
[13:02]<@Calum> hah yeah, that's always a good one
[13:02]<@Calum> it's like they hit "post" and immediately forget what they said
[13:03]<@BC_Programming> had one say they were a "Java expert" because they hang out in another "Java Gaming" Forum
[13:03]<@Calum> oooh
[13:03]<@BC_Programming> I thought "Java Gaming" was a bit of an oxymoron
[13:04]<@BC_Programming> it was fun using the JDK sources to show that every single thing they said about how certain Library classes work was dead wrong
[13:04]<@Calum> heh
[13:05]<@BC_Programming> "You must have a different source than me"
[13:06]<@Calum> Is that because their source is from fantasyland?
[13:06]<@BC_Programming> evidently
[13:06]<@BC_Programming> they were not pleased when I pointed out they had cited the exact same link I used in their initial reference... guess they just never looked at it
[13:06]<@Calum> haha
[13:13]<@Calum> Just remembered I need to set up a return for my new screwdriver kit...faulty. That's a little ironic, too.
[13:13]<@BC_Programming> lol
[13:14]<@Calum> I put a bit in it, and when I removed it, the little magnetic disc came with it
[13:14]<@Calum> And it won't go back in because the handle is metal, so it just sticks and won't go back
[13:14]<@BC_Programming> oh wow
[13:15]<@Calum> The set was only cheap but it was a good brand, figured it might be alright
[13:15]<@Calum> I only needed them because I dropped my other set a few weeks ago, and found the 50+ tiny bits - but not the actual driver, so I can't use any of them, lol
[13:15]<@BC_Programming> C'est la vie
[13:16]<@Calum> Indeed

[14:02]<@BC_Programming> I'm doing some heavy refactoring to BASeBlock... not quite on par with a sword but I mean come on how can I compete with that
[14:05]<@Mulreay> heh indeed
[14:06]<@Mulreay> Actually I bought two swords but thought if I pretended I only bought one then I would feel better about buying two swords. Turns out it didn't work.
[14:07]<@BC_Programming> why would you buy a sword
[14:07]<@BC_Programming> You really should make an enchanting table first
[14:07]<@Mulreay> EXACTLY been asking myself that question for quite a while now
[14:08]<@BC_Programming> hmm, I guess the one issue is you need a sword to go on the killing spree for the XP to enchant
[14:08]<@Mulreay> I do like swords though... I can smite people with it
[14:09]<@Mulreay> Can't wait to see the posties reaction tomorrow as he delivers 2 long packages and I exclaim 'my smiting swords are here!'
[14:10]<@BC_Programming> "Say would you like to help in a demonstration?"
[14:10]<@BC_Programming> "hey where did you go?"
[14:10]<@BC_Programming> lol
[14:11]<@Mulreay> lol
[14:14]<@BC_Programming> heh chop vegetables with them
[14:15]<@Mulreay> That would be so awesome when my housemate walks into the kitchen and I'm chopping tomatoes with a Gladius
[14:16]<@BC_Programming> "oh just making a salad"
[14:16]<@BC_Programming> "say can you pass me the guillotine"
[14:16]<@Mulreay> lol
[14:17]<jamer> So next week or weekend ive got a date XD
[14:18]<@Mulreay> But does you have a sword to use on the date? I think not.. doomed to fail
[14:18]<jamer> XD
[14:19]<@BC_Programming> you better figure out if it's next week or next weekend or there is going to be confusion
[14:20]<jamer> Might be a thursday friday or saterday
[14:22]<@BC_Programming> hmm I think I should have backed up my entire codebase before deciding to make a gigantic change to it
[14:22]<@BC_Programming> but I was getting sick of the cruft that had piled up in three years of maintenance... hopefully I didn't break anything

[14:44]<@BC_Programming> thankfully I can use Volume shadow copy to restore everything to yesterday
[14:45]<+Craig> What happened?
[14:45]<@BC_Programming> <&BC_Programming> hmm I think I should have backed up my entire codebase before deciding to make a gigantic change to it
[14:45]<+Craig> Ahhh Yeah
[14:46]<@BC_Programming> refactored some stuff but ended up changing it so it wasn't as flexible which is of course the opposite of what I want
[14:46]<+Craig> I agree
[14:47]<@BC_Programming> BASeBlock Source folder is nearly 1GB
[14:53]<@Mulreay> Don't starve is such a great game
[14:53]<@BC_Programming> agree
[14:54]<@BC_Programming> started playing the latest version a few days ago myself
[14:54]<@BC_Programming> they changed it quite a bit
[14:55]<@Mulreay> Got it on Steam myself.. worth the pennies
[14:56]<@BC_Programming> I acquired mine
[14:56]<@BC_Programming> I cna't go on steam anymore
[14:57]<@BC_Programming> otherwise this crazy person will try to talk to me
[14:57]<@Mulreay> I aquired 'prison architect' the other day.. that's funnish as well
[14:57]<@Mulreay> Can't you block them?
[14:57]<@BC_Programming> I've been playing a bit of terraria the last while
[14:57]<@BC_Programming> hmm I suppose
[14:58]<@Mulreay> Is it me?
[14:58]<@BC_Programming> lol no
[14:58]<@BC_Programming> it's some guy who wanted me to make a plugin for him
[14:58]<@Mulreay> ahh
[14:58]<@BC_Programming> seemed simple enough but he kept adding a bunch of other stuff and then decided I was somehow his "lead Programmer"
[14:59]<@BC_Programming> Also I didn't like his design decisions he was trying to "veto" in. I'll probably just make it my own plugin
[14:59]<@BC_Programming> hooray BASeBlock has successfully been reverted
[15:00]<@Mulreay> Just thought of a cool plugin but not sure if it would work
[15:00]<+camerongray> Woop, ?20 laptop works :D
[15:01]<+camerongray> Well, there isn't a screen, but it works
[15:02]<@BC_Programming> Mulreay: do tell

[15:05]<@Mulreay> BC_Programming: I was thinking of my fortress/castle build. Maybe a command block that would add fence posts to the fence post portcullis so you can effectively close the gate. As you can't make big doors and the such. Doubt it would work though as it would have to be VERY specific to the portcullis.
[15:05] * pottsi (Mibbit@pottsi.staff.mibbit.net) Quit (Quit: http://www.mibbit.com ajax IRC Client)
[15:05]<@BC_Programming> or it could let one-wide areas of fence to be right clicked
[15:06]<@BC_Programming> and then will remove or re-add fence blocks
[15:06]<@BC_Programming> wouldn't be super complex, but wouldn't be simple either methinks
[15:06]<@Mulreay> Yeah, just a passing thought
[15:07]<@BC_Programming> well it would be bukkit if I made it
[15:07]<@BC_Programming> No way I'm touching Forge
[15:08]<@BC_Programming> http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/grief-prevention/tickets/143-protection-leak/
