[14:41]<@BC_Programming> oh wow... if I get these features to work in the plugin, it's going to be competition for that popular MineZ thing
[14:42]<@BC_Programming> allow players to join at will, respawning chests, and a Score Tally that keeps track of each kill
[15:02]<@Mulreay> sounds cool
[15:03]<@BC_Programming> respawning chests is already done, pretty awesome if I say so myself
[15:03]<@Mulreay> OK so what is wrong with this picture http://9gag.com/gag/6890474
[15:04]<@BC_Programming> when you close a chest, after a given delay it will try to respawn the chest, but it only works if the last person to close the chest is more than a given distance away
[15:04]<@BC_Programming> when it repopulates there is a puff of smoke that blows out around the repopulated block, looks cool
[15:04]<@BC_Programming> BAHAHA
[15:04]<@BC_Programming> signed copy
[15:05]<@Mulreay> heh, sounds good BC_Programming
[15:06]<@BC_Programming> I'm aiming for a sort of fire and forget way of running it
[15:07]<@BC_Programming> that is a way to set it up so that you can just set a few options, start a game, and have players join and quit the game whenever they want
[15:08]<@Mulreay> cool
[15:08]<@BC_Programming> trying to get the highest score, which resets when you die in both the PvP and Mob modes (or if you quit)
[15:08]<@BC_Programming> sorta like those MineZ things I hear a lot about
[15:08]<@BC_Programming> but of course their chest randomizers are terrible compared to my awesome one
[15:09]<@BC_Programming> I mean where else will you find a Angry Katana of Dark salesman?
[15:09]<@Mulreay> lol exactly
[15:09]<@BC_Programming> or my personal favourite name was a mob called "strong powerful Zombie Richard of redundant namings"
[15:09]<@Mulreay> hahaha
[15:09]<@Mulreay> awesome
[15:10]<@BC_Programming> I mean what were the chances of it choosing the two redundant words (strong and powerful) and redundant out of a list of like 3 thousand words... one in a million that name
[15:11]<@Mulreay> heh
[15:12]<@BC_Programming> I'm also thinking that it might be interesting to have it so when a player joins a continuous game, either their inventory is cleared or they're inventories as shuffled/randomized like a chest
[15:13]<@BC_Programming> so people don't start out with nothing, just in case there are peeps running around with accrued diamond armours and whatnot
[15:13]<@Mulreay> yeah
[15:13]<@BC_Programming> Which reminds me I ought to add enchanted books to the list of possible generated items
[15:16]<@BC_Programming> I can see Mob arenas being awesome... people joining and quitting, dying, and everybody trying to get the highest score by killing as many mobs before dying and gathering good equipment
[15:17]<@Mulreay> yeah
[15:17]<@BC_Programming> hopefully I can re-enable my wither justice feature
[15:17]<@BC_Programming> whereby players that are doing very well suddenly find themselves being targeted by withers... who will hilariously ignore all other players because it's funny
[15:17]<@Mulreay> heh
[15:18]<@BC_Programming> had to disable it because the Withers refused to accept my plugin's orders... I told it to target a player and they just did their own thing instead... insolent buggers
[15:22]<@BC_Programming> in any case, that MineZ Mod better watch itself
[15:23]<@Mulreay> heh
[15:23]<@BC_Programming> Once I make these changes... Why bother using an inferior plugin when you can use mine? HAHAHA I will destroy them
[15:24]<@Mulreay> lol
[15:30]<@BC_Programming> already have three scoring systems- one that only counts kills, one that the score is kills-deaths, and one where the score is kills-deaths-suicides so a suicide basically subtracts two points
[15:32]<@Mulreay> nice
[15:32]<@Mulreay> Sounds like you've been busy
[15:32]<@Mulreay> oops
[15:32]<@BC_Programming> well somebody commented on the plugin yesterday
[15:33]<@BC_Programming> they said "Can you make it so that you can set a time interval as to when the chests re generate?"
[15:33]<@BC_Programming> I took that feature and cranked it to 11... I figure they would have been happy had I just set all the chests to repopulate after an interval
[15:33]<@BC_Programming> but NO! that is too simple
[15:34]<@BC_Programming> added delays after every chest close event that is cancelled when a player opens it that tries to repopulate the chest after a configurable delay but only if the last player to open it is more than a configurable number of blocks away... when I say that out loud id sounds more complicated than it is
[15:35]<@Mulreay> lol, it reads that way as well
[15:36]<@BC_Programming> best part is in the 30 minutes it took to write that repopulation stuff I caught up to and surpassed the repopulation logic of the more popular MineZ plugins
[15:44]<@BC_Programming> WIN
[15:44]<@BC_Programming> jsut scored another interview for Wed.
[15:44] * @BC_Programming dumps his plugin to do research on what he should be able to pretend to know
[15:46]<@BC_Programming> I think it's for this one: http://nanaimo.kijiji.ca/c-jobs-programmers-computer-Technical-Support-Representative-Tier-1-W0QQAdIdZ464313219QQfeaturedAdZtrue
[15:46]<@BC_Programming> but they have a few openings that I've applied for already
[15:47]<@Mulreay> cool
[15:47]<@BC_Programming> really far away but hey public transport can be useful
[15:48]<@BC_Programming> like 10KM if I was to walk, bloody urban sprawl I tell ya
[15:49]<@BC_Programming> naturally I hope it's the teir 2 one I also applied for but either one is still hella-better than my last job
[15:49]<@BC_Programming> I don't usually pray, but in this case I will definitely give thanks to Superman
[15:50]<@Mulreay> heh, can't hurt
[15:59] * searay330 (bayliner@mib-D01F1D53.buffalo.res.rr.com) has joined #glitchpc
[16:02]<@BC_Programming> haha... street view is like a year old
[16:02]<@BC_Programming> absolutely none of the stores at that address are the same on street view as they are in the normal map
[16:02]<@BC_Programming> apparently there is a Panago pizza in the middle of an intersection which seems like a less than ideal locale
[16:03]<@BC_Programming> There is a church there apparently so I guess I can ironically get some guidance from that
[16:05]<@BC_Programming> so it's either replaced Panago, or it 's the building next door... presumably they will have signage outside
[16:13]<@Mulreay> You would think
[16:13]<@BC_Programming> or maybe they are a secret underground cult
[16:14]<@BC_Programming> of web designers that design webpages for real estate sites
[16:14] * Tux2 (Tux2@mib-3C60BF5B.hlrn.qwest.net) Quit (Client exited)
[16:14]<@BC_Programming> And so they don't have signage because that would give away their holy meeting place
[16:15]<@BC_Programming> Hope this works out... Full-time job working with computers and software and whatnot would be epic
[16:16]<@BC_Programming> better than making sandwiches and coffee for $11.50/hr
[16:17]<@Mulreay> indeedy
[16:18]<@BC_Programming> hmm so I need to touch up on my jQuery... I can say I've used it but I feel like a liar saying I know it
[16:23]<@BC_Programming> heh the phone started ringing and I was all
[16:23]<@BC_Programming> "oh geez who is it now"
[16:23]<@BC_Programming> check it and the ID is like "R.E.W" and I'm like that's either somebody named Richard Edward Willard, or the place I applied for
[16:24]<@BC_Programming> In other news, Vechs has outdone himself with his latest Super Hostile Map
[16:25]<@Mulreay> Not seen it
[16:26]<@BC_Programming> naturally it is freakin hard... I haven't ragequit yet but I imagine I will soon
[16:26]<@Mulreay> heh7
[16:26]<@BC_Programming> you c an only sit in a hole killing spiders through a fence for about 20 minutes before you realize there has to be more to life
[16:27]<@Mulreay> heh true
[16:41]<searay330> sup guys
[16:45] * Nat (natman97@mib-642FCA28.socal.res.rr.com) Quit (Quit: zzzZZZzzzZZzzZZZzz)
[16:46]<@Mulreay> hey
[16:56]<@Mulreay> Well so much for spring http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/feeds/21927790
[16:57]<@BC_Programming> It's part of the groundhog conspiracy
[16:57]<@Mulreay> lol
[16:57]<@BC_Programming> the sad thing is now that I think about it I bet there actually is a conspiracy theory surrounding groundhogs
[16:58]<@Mulreay> Most likely

[18:38]<@BC_Programming> or eating shitake mushrooms
[18:38]<@Mulreay> Damn, I should have thought of that
[18:43]<@Mulreay> Just hit 191 subs.. whoot de woo
[18:43]<@BC_Programming> congratulations
[18:44]<@Mulreay> ta
[18:44]<@BC_Programming> I occasionally have somebody subscribe to me still for some reason
[18:45]<@Mulreay> Good content?
[18:45]<@BC_Programming> true but they aren't going to be getting any notifications for a while, heh
[18:46]<@Mulreay> I suppose but they don't know that.. I have some people I'm subbed to I'm sure that haven't created anything for a while to watch.. actually I should do a clean out
[18:47]<@Mulreay> Later BC_Programming sub.. your outa here!!
[18:47]<@Mulreay> jk

[21:15] * Mulreay (mulreay@mib-408AE6D.cable.virginmedia.com) Quit (Quit: For when the one great scorer comes to write against my name, it's not that I won or lost but how I played the game.)

[23:56]<@BC_Programming> perhaps got too clever with this line
