[00:00]<@BC_Programming> :P
[00:00]<+Tux2> lol
[00:00]<AlexM850> Why? D:
[00:00]<@BC_Programming> it's messy
[00:00]<+Tux2> This one was thrown together
[00:00]<@BC_Programming> yeah
[00:00]<@BC_Programming> it wasn't even supposed to do what it does now... I just sort of wanted it to randomize chests
[00:01]<AlexM850> But, from what i've heard & the background checking i've done on the coding you & Tux have done
[00:01]<AlexM850> It can't be too slopppy.
[00:01] * Nepherius (Nepherius@FA81F413.5BE92F1D.8092D3DF.IP) Quit (Ping timeout)
[00:01]<AlexM850> IMO.
[00:01]<AlexM850> But i did test the other HG plugins & give pasties, reccomendations & bug reports.
[00:02]<AlexM850> Rather than saying it sucks and dropping it, i try to help others improve their works.
[00:03]<@BC_Programming> well on the bright side mine hasn't outright crashed with an Exception for me for a while... mostly gameplay stuff that breaks or doesn't work... like when it thought a participant was a spectator and let them fly around, lol
[00:03]<AlexM850> Net.Minecraft code? Or going off of Bukkit?
[00:03]<+Tux2> bukkit
[00:03]<AlexM850> Glad to hear.
[00:04]<AlexM850> It has it's advantages & disadvantages.
[00:04] * Nepherius (Nepherius@FA81F413.5BE92F1D.8092D3DF.IP) has joined #glitchpc
[00:04]<+Tux2> lol, yeah
[00:04]<+Tux2> AlexM850: you should stick around on here more often. ;)
[00:04]<+Tux2> Especially the #pinoygamers channel
[00:05]<+Tux2> That's the best way to get instant support for our plugins we create.
[00:05]<+Tux2> We even have the author of worldinventories in #pinoygamers
[00:05]<+Tux2> Me and him collaborate a bit about our plugins
[00:06]<+Tux2> He has WorldInventories I have MultiInv
[00:06]<@BC_Programming> Does his support the extra NBT information yet btw?
[00:08]<+Tux2> Nope
[00:08]<+Tux2> If you want cutting edge you use MultiInv
[00:08]<@BC_Programming> heheh
[00:08]<AlexM850> I use multi-inv.
[00:08]<AlexM850> Greylist -> Trusted world.
[00:08]<AlexM850> Inventories dont carry over.
[00:08]<AlexM850> Trusted World = Grief free.
[00:08]<+Tux2> :)
[00:10]<@BC_Programming> here's something interesting, apparently you can give a spider a knockback item in their weapon slot
[00:10]<AlexM850> I probably will, i do quite a bit of testing in spare time though :)
[00:10]<@BC_Programming> and it will actually affect their attacks
[00:11]<AlexM850> Woah really BC o_O That's OP. :p
[00:11]<AlexM850> I meant 2 lines up @Tux2
[00:11]<@BC_Programming> I found that out when I was facing a spider with regen and he knocked me about a hundred blocks back
[00:12]<+Tux2> lol BC_Programming!
[00:12]<@BC_Programming> he was worth like 200 points though when I finally killed it, normally they are only like 10 or 20
[00:12]<+Tux2> Wow!
[00:13]<@BC_Programming> yeah the point calculation takes the equipment the mob has and it's enchantments as well as any buffs it has and gives you more points for more powerful enemies
[00:13]<AlexM850> That's sweet XD
[00:13]<AlexM850> Hehehe.
[00:13]<@BC_Programming> there is also some salting with the players equipment so it's not completely predictable
[00:13]<AlexM850> Meaning? :o
[00:13]<@BC_Programming> right now the better eq the player has, the more points you will get
[00:14]<@BC_Programming> I was going to do the opposite originally, so worse stuff means you get more points for harder enemies
[00:14]<@BC_Programming> but I didn't think it made sense to penalize players for finding good equipment
[00:15]<@BC_Programming> it doesn't make a massive difference though, I imagine having full enchanted diamond versus nothing probably couldn't give more than 10 points difference
[00:16]<AlexM850> Ahh okay.
[00:16]<@BC_Programming> salting btw pretty much just means sticking in some other piece of information
[00:17] * UC (blueword_1@mib-948DAB1B.hsd1.ut.comcast.net) Quit (Ping timeout)
[00:17]<@BC_Programming> I'm also trying to make a map specifically built around the plugins features, I figure it will also give me some ideas on what I could add or change
[00:18]<+Tux2> BC_Programming: either regen broken blocks or nerf explosions for sure
[00:18]<@BC_Programming> well.... I just turn mob griefing off
[00:18]<@BC_Programming> eg. with /gamerule
[00:19]<@BC_Programming> I found that didn't prevent creepers from damaging item frames, so I prevent item frames from ever being destroyed while a game is taking place
[00:19]<+Tux2> ah
[00:21]<AlexM850> Makes sense :)
[00:21]<@BC_Programming> the mob fight thing is pretty cool though, it caps the mob spawns a lot higher, randomizes mobs when they spawn and makes sure they only appear in the border of the arena
[00:21]<@BC_Programming> it also spawns around 10 mobs within 5 to 10 blocks of each player every 15 seconds or so
[00:21]<@BC_Programming> just so they have to keep moving heheh
[00:23]<@BC_Programming> Obviously that's the sort of stuff I want in a configuration file, eg whether it does that at all, and if it does how many mobs and how often type stuff
[00:23]<+Tux2> AlexM850: what do you think of this plugin?
[00:24]<@BC_Programming> Here's an earlier test I did on my own as a quick example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NdWBpk0a6rs
[00:39]<AlexM850> Hmm Tux2 im liking it so far, i have some ideas to theme my server with this plugin. And will continue to develop ideas as the plugin develops. :)
[00:39]<+Tux2> :)
[00:39]<+Tux2> Awesome
[01:44]<AlexM850> Definitely looking forward to it. :)

[02:01]<AlexM850> Welcome back, BC.
[02:02]<@BC_Programming> my client disconnects a lot :/
[02:02]<@BC_Programming> might be my net connection though to be fair
[02:02]<+Tux2> yeah...
[02:02]<AlexM850> really? :(
[02:04]<@BC_Programming> though nothing else seems to have issues. oh well
[02:05]<@BC_Programming> now if I could make it so I don't have to enter my ident alias when it reconnects it won't matter much
[02:05]<AlexM850> My net connection isn't the best either, btw BC, it's looking pretty sweet so far from the Youtube video i watched.
[02:05]<@BC_Programming> that's a pretty old version too :P
[02:05]<+Tux2> :) I'll let you test drive it on a map on a server tomorrow AlexM850
[02:06]<@BC_Programming> hopefully that goes better than a few days ago, lol
[02:06]<AlexM850> But from the messages it sends/broadcasts.
[02:06]<AlexM850> Would that pose a problem for HUGE servers?
[02:07]<@BC_Programming> right now it only supports ever having a single game running at a time...
[02:07]<@BC_Programming> I'm refactoring parts of it right now to work with multiple games
[02:08]<@BC_Programming> the messages only broadcast to that world, iirc
[02:08]<+Tux2> ah...
[02:08]<@BC_Programming> On tux's server he has a plugin that catches the events my plugin raises and uses chatconnector and sends messages to the main server to show when a game is starting or when one ends, announcing the winner and such
[02:12]<@BC_Programming> thankfully the gametracking is already separate, it's just right now the game preparation stuff only allows for one.
[02:13]<AlexM850> Hmm, single games wouldnt be so bad.
[02:13]<AlexM850> For large servers, having a team.
[02:13]<AlexM850> I can see the positives & negatives of it.
[02:13]<AlexM850> It has more Pros to being a single game.
[02:13]<AlexM850> Well, let me rephrase, in my opinion.

[10:14]<@BC_Programming> hai
[10:17]<AlexM850> How does it go today, BC? :)
[10:17]<@BC_Programming> I haven't gone to bed yet :P
[10:17]<AlexM850> Me either XD
[10:17]<@BC_Programming> heheh

[10:18]<@BC_Programming> ic ic
[10:19]<AlexM850> I c u p.
[10:19]<AlexM850> xD
[10:19]<AlexM850> Lol, why haven't you went to sleep yet? :P
[10:20]<@BC_Programming> was playing Minecraft for most of it
[10:20]<@BC_Programming> then adding more pointless stuff to the plugin
[10:21]<@BC_Programming> eg. now participants start with full hunger but a 15 minute hunger III debuff, which means they need to find food really fast
[10:22]<@BC_Programming> that and I made a useless item act like a arrow machine gun... nobody would think to fight with a wooden hoe, heheh
[10:26]<AlexM850> Wait what does a wood hoe do? :o
[10:26]<@BC_Programming> right or left clicking with a wooden hoe shoots an arrow
[10:26]<@BC_Programming> it sort of works like the old bow mechanic before 1.8
[10:27]<@BC_Programming> which actually gives me the idea to require and use arrows from the players inventory to use it...
[10:27]<AlexM850> :O
[10:27]<AlexM850> errmergawd. :)
[10:27]<AlexM850> Sounds epic but fun.

[11:03]<@BC_Programming> lol this is insane
[11:03]<@BC_Programming> I made the machine gun thing shoot fast enough that it's practically hitscan
[11:03]<@BC_Programming> but it does a lot less damage than a bow shot so it seems fair to me
[11:06]<AlexM850> Aimbot? :O
[11:06]<@BC_Programming> no you have to aim it of course
[11:07]<@BC_Programming> it's fast enough that you don't have to really consider the shot arc, is what I mean
[11:07]<@BC_Programming> I'm not going to tell the other players, should be hilarious
[11:07]<@BC_Programming> "HOW ARE YOU SHOOTING SO FAST"
[11:07]<@BC_Programming> assuming I can find a wooden hoe in the chests, of course
[11:08]<AlexM850> Lol xD

[11:18]<Tux3> Awesome BC_Programming
[11:19]<@BC_Programming> I don't know for sure if the spectator issues are resolved, I did add /fixup which manually tries to fix that stuff when needed
[11:19]<Tux3> gotcha, thanks BC_Programming
[11:23]<@BC_Programming> oh I did make a gameplay change, I just remembered, not sure about it but it seemed like a good idea:
[11:23]<Tux3> What is it?
[11:23]<@BC_Programming> I got to thinking that the idea was essentially something like a hunger games map, so we have the food around right
[11:24]<@BC_Programming> but then I noticed that the game is usually over before you lose even two drumsticks
[11:24]<@BC_Programming> so now when a game starts, it gives everybody the Hunger III effect
[11:24]<Tux3> lol
[11:24]<@BC_Programming> this also makes the buckets of milk pretty high priority too :P
[11:25]<Tux3> :)
[11:26]<@BC_Programming> Guess we'll see how that plays out
[11:26]<@BC_Programming> ... in addition to the secret machine gun, teehee

[11:30]<AlexM850> Hey Tux3, did i ever mention to you what happened to me a while back? Bad eperiences with 14 y/o kids.
[11:30]<AlexM850> experiences*
[11:31]<Tux3> Oh?
[11:32]<@BC_Programming> "Hmm, these zombies can kill me in three hits... you know what I should do to fix that, absolutely nothing... instead I will add Witches as possible spawns as well"
[11:34]<Tux3> lol
[11:34]<@BC_Programming> Witches with knockback 200... ok not really that might be overdoing it a tad
[11:41]<Tux3> lol
[11:48]<@BC_Programming> I was considering having an upper limit for how long a game should last by spawning Withers near each player at that limit :P
[11:49]<AlexM850> Omg no D:
[11:49]<@BC_Programming> y not
[11:50]<AlexM850> Why would you want to spawn withers near the players at the limit?
[11:50]<@BC_Programming> I mean for the mob mode, not with PvP
[11:50]<@BC_Programming> time limit eg
[11:50]<@BC_Programming> after 10 minutes or whatever it spawns withers to try to finish off whoever is left faster
[11:53]<AlexM850> OH okay.
[11:53]<Tux3> ah...
[11:53]<AlexM850> That makes sense then.
[11:54]<@BC_Programming> it wouldn't happen in the PvP fight, the mitigating factor there is that it gives compasses that point to the closest other player that is still alive
[11:58]<@BC_Programming> heh "Wood hatchet of uncovered groaning"
[12:04]<AlexM850> This kid logged on, tux

[12:08]<@BC_Programming> and I decompiled it found their Email password and then took complete control of the E-mail, and then their paypal and cancelled a bunch of purchases
[12:08]<@BC_Programming> heheheh

[12:09]<AlexM850> That's extremely funny.

[12:10]<@BC_Programming> ahh here it is http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/307847-warning-hacker-trying-to-steal-mc-accounts/
[12:10]<@BC_Programming> so much win
[12:12]<AlexM850> Awww sorry ChanbotVI :(
[12:16]<AlexM850> LOL OMG thats funny XD
[12:18]<@BC_Programming> lol guess what I just added to the plugin- now it puts participants in a random location if the arena border is set
[12:20]<AlexM850> That's def cool. :)
[12:20]<@BC_Programming> the only problem is weird maps that don't use perfectly square arenas
[12:21]<@BC_Programming> or rather rectangular, I should say
[12:23]<AlexM850> So its based off of Worldborders? OR just arena borders that are configurable?
[12:24]<@BC_Programming> it allows two borders
[12:24]<@BC_Programming> using /arenaborder1 and /arenaborder2 currently set them
[12:24]<AlexM850> Okay that makes sense.
[12:24]<AlexM850> So it has to be square border? :o For it to be set, better borders?
[12:25]<@BC_Programming> rectangular
[12:25]<AlexM850> Ahh okay, makes sense :)
[12:25]<@BC_Programming> only thing is the map we are using isn't <perfectly> rectangular, and there are parts where the exterior fence goes in and out
[12:26]<@BC_Programming> arguably easy to fix by just expanding the fence outward, but as it is now, either players will be able to be shuffled to an area outside the city map itself, with no way inside, or the arena border is made smaller and some areas become inaccessible
[12:33]<AlexM850> Weird. :/
[12:34]<@BC_Programming> also doesn't help that the map maker decided to make the normal "lobby" area outside what would normally be the arena, so when we tested it yesterday, the moment the game started the plugin detected everybody playing was outside the border and we all got teleported to some random underground cavern, lol
[12:38]<AlexM850> Hahahahaha xD
[12:39]<@BC_Programming> of course with adjustments the starting rooms won't really be needed, since all the participants would be plonked into the arena at some random location
[12:39]<@BC_Programming> it also prevents having the herd the players into the starting area and make sure they joined the game which I can say was INFURIATING sometimes

[20:29]<@BC_Programming> I get it free becuz I'm awesome you see
[20:29]<+Tux2> BC_Programming: I searched for my "chocolate chips" on whereismy.me and it came up with "near your arm"... which just so happened to be where it was!
[20:29]<@BC_Programming> lol
[20:29]<lucifer> whereismy hates me ...
[20:30]<lucifer> keeps saying its outside my mom
[20:31]<@BC_Programming> depending on the question that might not be a bad thing
[20:32]<+Tux2> lol
[20:35]<@BC_Programming> apparently I'm also eligible for dotCover(Code coverage tool) and WebStorm (A Javascript IDE or something)
[20:35]<+Tux2> :D
[20:35]<@BC_Programming> though at this point I'm not really sure if loading as many addons as possible into Visual Studio is really a good idea
[20:36]<+Tux2> ha ha!
[20:36]<@BC_Programming> "OH hey VS 2012 runs pretty fast, let's see if we can fix that with add-ons"
[20:37]<@BC_Programming> I think I need more RAM, lol... I leave things running long enough that they swap out to the pagefile...
[20:37]<+Tux2> lol BC_Programming
[20:37]<+Tux2> I have 12GB of ram on my desktop, so that's usually not an issue for me
[20:38]<@BC_Programming> I have 8GB
[20:38]<+Tux2> heh
[20:39]<lucifer> 1.5GB :(
[20:39]<+Tux2> 8GB is what I have in my laptop
[20:39]<lucifer> im a sad low GB ram user
[20:39]<@BC_Programming> my laptop has 4GB... it's maxed out heh
[20:40]<lucifer> my thinkpad has 2 gb but my main power house has only 1.5
[20:40]<@BC_Programming> desktop can take 16GB so I'll definitely do that before I consider a new build
[20:40]<+Tux2> lol, my laptop is maxed out as well
[20:40]<@BC_Programming> my old Thinkpad had a whopping 8MB
[20:40]<+Tux2> I think my desktop can handle 32GB, but that's in 8GB sticks
[20:40]<lucifer> lol sounds like my toshiba laptop BC_Programming
[20:41]<lucifer> 8mb starting and then for like 300 back then you could upgrade to 40 mb
[20:41]<+Tux2> lol
[20:41]<+Tux2> I remember those days
[20:41]<@BC_Programming> it maxes out at 40MB yeah
[20:41]<@BC_Programming> original owner paid around 8 grand for it as I had it
[20:41]<lucifer> and i bought the laptop (for giggles) and it has the 40 mb ram in it
[20:42]<@BC_Programming> pretty much everything aside from the RAM was maxed out, eg. Processor Upgrade, Hard drive ungrade and stuff
[20:42]<+Tux2> lol
[20:44]<@BC_Programming> I decided to delete the server.log for bukkit heh
[20:44]<@BC_Programming> it goes all the way back to when I was using 1.6.6 and started making that fill mod thing
[20:47]<@BC_Programming> boop boop boop bo bopp de boop boop beep de boop de beep boop
[20:47]<+Tux2> lol

[21:19]<lucifer> lol
[21:19]<@BC_Programming> freaking morons.... Trying to say that you can copy-paste C++ code into Java or C# and then just use find replace
[21:19]<@BC_Programming> freaking dumbasses... Seriously that's one of the stupidest things I've ever heard
[21:20]<lucifer> i got a letter from an in state university here nat
[21:20]<Nat> yeah
[21:20]<Nat> i get letters from unis all the time, ever since i took the PSAT 2 years ago

[21:25]<Nat> either way, you're probably pretty smart
[21:26]<lucifer> thanks
[21:43]<@BC_Programming> I would have never expected eating a hamburger to turn into the most painful experience of my life
[21:45]<@BC_Programming> toothache fwiw... finally going away... think it was made worse by my attempts to get rid of it, actually
[21:54]<lucifer> apparently theres a lunar eclipse on my birthday
