[10:59]<Craig> How do I enable Virtual Directory Support in PHP or Apache?
[11:01]<+camerongray> No idea :P
[11:02]<+camerongray> Do you mean virtual host?
[11:02]<Craig> https://www.google.ca/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ie=UTF-8&ion=1#hl=en&safe=off&sclient=psy-ab&q=How%20to%20enable%20virtual%20directory%20support%20in%20php&oq=&gs_l=&pbx=1&fp=8255192539267d5f&ion=1&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_cp.r_qf.&biw=1920&bih=965
[11:04]<Craig> Dang nab it...
[11:04]<Craig> I forgot to enable rewrite...
[11:04]<Craig> Fixed it...
[11:04]<Craig> After a week of looking,
[11:04]<Craig> This is what I needed, "Virtual Directory Support is for Windows machines. mod_rewrite is used with Apache for this functionality, so there is no reason for this to be enabled with Linux or FreeBSD. Given that being the case, why would you need this option to be enabled for a Linux or FreeBSD-based machine?"
[11:09]<Craig> Hey Cameron, go check out my new poll on the website. :)
[11:09]<Craig> www.brokedcomputer.com
[11:12]<+camerongray> Cool
[11:12]<+camerongray> Doesn't give me the option to vote though
[11:12]<Craig> No?
[11:13]<+camerongray> Not that I can see
[11:13]<Craig> Are you sure? can you post a screen shot?
[11:13]<+camerongray> Just the results
[11:14]<Craig> Oh did you vote already?
[11:15]<+camerongray> nope
[11:15]<Craig> I wonder if it logs IP addresses then closes the poll to that IP?
[11:16]<+camerongray> hmm, on my home broadband so my IP shouldn't have been logged
[11:17]<Craig> I mean that its loggin an internal IP as the IP that everyone is coming from...
[11:18]<+camerongray> Ahh, possibly
[11:20]<Craig> Try again
[11:21]<Craig> There you go
[11:21] * sonicrules1234 (sonicrules@mib-9ACB38D3.dhcp.lnbh.ca.charter.com) has joined #glitchpc
[11:21]<+camerongray> That works now
[11:23]<Craig> 1.63 TB total, 132.44 GB used <- my server Just cause
[11:28]<+camerongray> lol
[11:28]<Craig> http://www.brokedcomputer.com/awesome-software/'
[11:28]<+camerongray> Mine : 1010.30 GB total, 69.82 GB used
[11:29]<Craig> Nice,
[11:29]<Craig> I used to be running about 6 Virtual machines on it, but they became outdated. (And Useless)
[11:29]<+camerongray> Yeah, I got a dedicated server
[11:32]<+camerongray> Dirt cheap - £13.99/month
[11:32]<Craig> Mine is Free, and its dedicated, and a 4core machine :p
[11:33]<+camerongray> Well, you have to pay for the power it consumes :P
[11:33]<Craig> Not really, that comes out of the rent. :P
[11:33]<+camerongray> ahh
[11:34]<+camerongray> And a powerful network connection
[11:34]<+camerongray> I'd rather mine was safe in a datacenter
[11:34]<Craig> Not overly, thats for my business, that I need anyway :p
[11:34]<+camerongray> Ahh, for me I need it to be reliable and safe
[11:35]<+camerongray> I wouldn't want to run a server from home, especially with the flakey power where I live
[11:35]<Craig> Ah our power is quite solid here
[11:36]<+camerongray> Yeah, While testing an outlet I saw the voltage fluctuating by 5-10v both ways
[11:36]<Craig> ouch
[11:36]<+camerongray> 10 year lightbulbs are lucky to last a year
[11:36]<Craig> Wow, ours fluctuates by about maybe 1-1.5 volts,
[11:36]<+camerongray> Ahh
[11:37]<+camerongray> Yeah, it's really bad here
[11:37]<Craig> Apparentlyu/
[11:37]<+camerongray> I'd love to colocate a server but my dedicated is cheaper
[11:37]<+camerongray> If I need a higher spec in the future I'll colocate
[11:38]<Craig> Co-locate?
[11:38]<Craig> as in dual locations?
[11:38]<+camerongray> No, put my own server into a datacenter
[11:39]<Craig> OH aaaaa
[11:49]<+camerongray> Can be around £30 a month
[11:49]<+camerongray> There are a lot in Edinburgh but they are very expensive since Edinburgh has a huge number of IT companies that want them
[11:54]<+camerongray> My current server is fine though
[11:54]<+camerongray> Nothing fancy
[11:54]<+camerongray> Celeron 220, 2gb RAM, 1tb HDD, 5tb BW @ 100mbit then drops down to 10mbit
[11:55]<@Mulreay> Hey canm
[11:55]<@Mulreay> oops
[11:55]<+camerongray> Hey Mulreay
[11:55]<@Mulreay> hey camerongray and Craig
[11:56]<+camerongray> Oh yeah, how did the interview go?
[11:58]<@Mulreay> My drivers license has expired so it was a no go.. shame
[11:58]<+camerongray> Ahh
[11:58]<+camerongray> Did you need to drive?
[11:58]<@Mulreay> sent off for a re-newal but the job has gone
[11:58]<+camerongray> Ahh :(
[12:00]<@Mulreay> Will just see what the future has... YouTube is coming along well so that is always a top up
[12:00]<+camerongray> Yeah
[12:00]<+camerongray> Been looking at IT companies?
[12:01]<@Mulreay> I don't have the paper to back me up unfortunately
[12:01]<+camerongray> Aria are in Manchester, not sure if they have anything, there's usually something on their website
[12:01]<+camerongray> Ahh yeah
[12:02]<@Mulreay> Will find something at some point I'm sure.. Malta is still my future as it stands
[12:20]<Craig> Hey Mulreay
[12:28]<@Mulreay> Hey Craig
[12:28]<Craig> What you upt o?
[12:29]<@Mulreay> Recording a video on one PC and playing a game on the PS3.. you?
[12:38]<Craig> http://blog.chron.com/sciguy/2012/10/more-evidence-that-voyager-has-exited-the-solar-system/
[12:42]<@Mulreay> Voyager will only have left the solar system when there is no more 'gravitational pull' from the Sun as there are from distant 'Systems'. Then it will be truly in 'deep space' and alone to voyage forward.
[13:27] * MagiAway is now known as Magiobiwan
[13:31]<Craig> Interesting
[14:34]<@Mulreay> I doubt it for you
[14:35]<Craig> What do you mean?
[14:35]<@Mulreay> I wanted to test how quick you would respond... WOW
[14:35]<Craig> ?
[14:36]<@Mulreay> You responded to something that you needeed
[14:36]<@Mulreay> sorry
[14:36]<Craig> I responded to something that I needed? I am not sure what you mean there Mulreay?
[14:36]<@Mulreay> That you needed an answer for within 4secs... bit weird
[14:37]<Craig> An answer for what? I never said anything before you said "I doubt it for you"
[14:37]<Craig> Excluding "interesting" by me about 2 hours ago
[14:37]<@Mulreay> I disagree
[14:38]<Craig> I am indeed very confused... :P
[14:38]<@Mulreay> And why is that my fault?
[14:39]<Craig> Because you initiated the conversation with "I doubt it for you" heh
[14:40]<@Mulreay> Catch you later
[14:40]<Craig> ok?
[14:40]<Craig> :P have fun
[14:48]<+camerongray> Oh yeah Craig
[14:49]<+camerongray> Have you seen the new version of Unshorten. It?
[14:57]<Craig> Heard about it, but not used iut
[14:57]<Craig> it*
[14:57]<+camerongray> http://www.unshorten.it/

[14:59]<+camerongray> Craig ^^^
[15:00]<Craig> Saw it thanks
[15:00]<+camerongray> What do you think?
[15:07]<+camerongray> Craig?
[15:07]<Craig> Not tested it, I don't have a link that needs unshortening.
[15:07]<+camerongray> There's one on the homepage below the URL box
[15:07]<Craig> ....
[15:07]<+camerongray> You can just click it and it will unshorten it
[15:08]<+camerongray> *test link
[15:09]<+camerongray> Just want to know what you think of the new version
[15:09]<Craig> Hahaha, I don't even remember the old version, I would suggest asking BC, this is more up his alley
[15:09]<+camerongray> lol
