[07:34]<@Mulreay> hey guys
[07:34]<+camerongray> Hmm - Trying to decide between a 90gb OCZ SSD and a 60gb Intel one for around the same price
[07:35]<+camerongray> Hey Mulreay
[07:35]<+camerongray> I don't want a repeat of the Corsair SSD that wouldn't work in the MBP
[07:36]<+camerongray> Well it worked but was slower than the HDD and it was very temperamental as to when it wanted to boot
[07:38]<+Tux2> OCZ is fine, I've used them before camerongray
[07:38]<+camerongray> Hmm, intel has a longer warranty and is a bit faster but is also 30gb smaller
[07:39]<+camerongray> The issue is the macbook
[07:39]<+Tux2> Ah...
[07:39]<+Tux2> I'd go for intel then
[07:39]<+camerongray> I have a Vertex Plus at the moment but that has a different controller to the Agility
[07:39]<+camerongray> Will do research to see what others are using
[07:40]<+Tux2> Right now the maps are being converted from the old format to the new anvil format
[07:40]<+camerongray> The issue is that OSX makes it tricky to install many apps on the non-boot drive
[07:40]<+camerongray> Cool
[07:40]<+Tux2> This is going to take a while...
[07:40]<+camerongray> Things that get copied from a DMG can go on the HDD but anything that uses a PKG installer or from the App Store needs to go on the SSD
[07:41]<+camerongray> On the plus side, this MBP is stupidly powerful
[07:41]<+Tux2> Yeah, I know how macs work in that regard
[07:41]<+camerongray> Put it this way, I haven't turned my i7 920 PC on for over a week
[07:41]<+camerongray> Mainly since there is no SSD in it now :P
[07:41]<+camerongray> But the MBP works great
[07:42]<+camerongray> I have it connected to my monitor, keyboard, mouse and speakers and it works great, can even render in FCPX without any slowdowns
[07:42]<+camerongray> Plus I get a second display
[07:44]<+Tux2> Nice
[07:44]<+Tux2> You mac convert you... ;)
[07:45]<+camerongray> lol
[07:45]<+camerongray> Still use both :P
[07:45]<+camerongray> But windows runs under parallels so don't lose that
[07:46]<+camerongray> And it runs as fast as it would on a PC
[07:46]<+Tux2> heh
[07:46]<+Tux2> I just use linux
[07:46]<+camerongray> lol
[07:46]<+camerongray> I like linux
[07:47]<+camerongray> Just not enough stuff for it
[07:47]<+camerongray> Especially good video editing
[07:47]<+Tux2> it does have all the free good video editors, but none of the good paid for ones
[07:47]<+camerongray> Yeah
[07:47]<@Mulreay> paid for? What's that?
[07:48]<+camerongray> lol
[07:48]<+Tux2> I don't spend that much money on video editing software, so I just use the linux stuff
[07:48]<+Tux2> lol Mulreay, you and your torrents. ;)
[07:48]<@Mulreay> :)
[07:48]<+camerongray> I spent ?199 on FCPX :P
[07:48]<+Tux2> Oh, Mulreay, server is getting updated to 1.2.3!
[07:49]<@Mulreay> Yeah, I read.. cool.. MC is getting updated tomorrow again I think
[07:49]<+Tux2> lol, yeah
[07:49]<+Tux2> It shouldn't be that big of a deal switching from 1.2.3 to 1.2.4 though
[07:49]<@Mulreay> hopefully
[07:49]<+Tux2> it's just that bukkit had to change it's whole system right as 1.2.3 came out
[07:49]<@Mulreay> ahh
[07:50]<+Tux2> Yeah, r6 for 1.1 was with the new system, then right after that came out 1.2.3 came out
[07:50]<+Tux2> I still had plugins that weren't updated yet so I had to stay on 1.1-R4
[07:50]<+Tux2> there are still a few that aren't installed yet as I have to update them myself
[07:50]<+camerongray> Wow! SSDs at Aria are even cheaper than eBuyer!
[07:51]<+camerongray> Mulreay: I'd check out Aria for your build - They are in Manchester so could save on postage
[07:52]<@Mulreay> scan is in Bolton, in Greater Manchester
[07:52]<+camerongray> Ahh
[07:52]<+camerongray> Scan always seem expensive to me
[07:52]<@Mulreay> yeah, I check with all of them for prices
[07:52]<+camerongray> Nothing decent near me at all!
[07:59]<+Tux2> camerongray: Mulreay, I need some players to come test the server
[07:59]<+camerongray> me me me
[07:59]<@Mulreay> np
[07:59]<+Tux2> just log into the server with 1.2.3
[07:59]<+camerongray> Not spout then?
[08:00]<@Mulreay> so were updating MC?
[08:15]<+Tux2> spout is updated
[08:24]<+Tux2> Inventory wasn't updating like it should, now that should be sorted...
[08:24]<+Tux2> that's why I pushed you to the creative world
[08:24]<+Tux2> so you wouldn't loose your survival inventory
[08:25]<+Tux2> or...
[08:33]<@Mulreay> cool
[08:37] * GlitchPC (Mibbit@mib-E0FFCB3C.nwrknj.east.verizon.net) has joined #glitchpc
[08:38]<+camerongray> Hey Steve!
[08:38]<GlitchPC> Hello, CAmeron
[08:39]<+pottsi> welcome back
[08:40]<+camerongray> GAH! Found a super cheap SSD but have no idea if it will work in the MBP
[08:40]<GlitchPC> camerongray: why not?
[08:40]<+camerongray> MacBook Pros are very picky about SSDs
[08:41]<+camerongray> I originally installed a Corsair Force 3 but had tonnes of issues
[08:41]<+camerongray> Sometimes it would boot but freeze quite a bit, others it would go into lion recovery and other times it wouldn't even try to boot
[08:41]<GlitchPC> You can't find one for a MBP?
[08:42]<+camerongray> There are ones specifically designed for them but in true apple form they are very expensive
[08:43]<GlitchPC> Just checked the pricing on Google...man...you're right.
[08:43]<+camerongray> yep :P
[08:43]<+camerongray> The one I found is just ?92 for 120gb
[08:44]<GlitchPC> I guess it has to be Apple proprietary...or, you're SOL.
[08:44]<+camerongray> Some PC SSDs work but some have issues
[08:44]<+camerongray> I'm currently using a Vertex Plus but it's slow and only 60gb
[08:44]<GlitchPC> Which brands?
[08:45]<+camerongray> No idea, seems that some OCZs work but others don't
[08:45]<GlitchPC> Which brands work with the Mac?
[08:45]<GlitchPC> I see...bummer.
[08:45]<+camerongray> Will try to find somewhere with good return policy :P
[08:45]<GlitchPC> There ya go!
[08:46]<GlitchPC> Time for coffee...
[08:46]<+camerongray> lol - You never change :P
[08:47]<+pottsi> i hope that's not true
[08:49]<GlitchPC> Nope...
[08:49]<GlitchPC> I never will...
[08:49]<GlitchPC> Old and crotchety...that's me.
[08:49]<+camerongray> lol
[08:50]<+pottsi> figured
[08:50]<GlitchPC> If you can't like me for who I am...or, what I represent...then, turn the page. ;-)
[08:50]<+pottsi> what do you represent?
[08:51]<GlitchPC> Glitch PC
[08:51]<+pottsi> ooooo
[08:51]<+pottsi> then one you're going to sue mibbit for?
[08:51]<+pottsi> the*
[08:52]<GlitchPC> I'm not going to sue mibbit...I asked if it were a breach of copyright. "You" said I was going to sue Mibbit. Unless I'm mistaken and forgot...
[08:52]<+pottsi> ...
[08:52]<+pottsi> you really want me to find logs?
[08:52]<GlitchPC> I'm sure you have the logs...
[08:52]<GlitchPC> That's up to you...I could care less...
[08:53]<+pottsi> it's actually pretty clear what you said, i posted it into the main channel
[08:53]<+pottsi> :)
[08:53]<GlitchPC> Good for you, pottsi
[08:53]<+pottsi> how's glitch going for you?
[08:53]<GlitchPC> Like it always has...
[08:54]<GlitchPC> How's Mibbit going for you?
[08:54]<+pottsi> shite?
[08:54]<+pottsi> mibbit's awesome for me
[08:54]<+pottsi> you see mibbit stays open for more than a few months before getting shut down and reopened
[08:56]<+camerongray> To be fair, GlitchPC has been running for quite a while since it last closed
[08:56]<GlitchPC> I see...guess the owners at Mibbit have never experienced "homelessness" before...but, that's another story you can make fun of, pottsi...
[08:56]<+pottsi> Debatable
[08:56]<+pottsi> bahahha
[08:56]<+pottsi> you bought that up not me
[08:57]<+pottsi> i couldn't care less what happens in peoples personal life
[08:57]<+pottsi> it's *personal*
[08:57]<+pottsi> not to be branded over IRC
[08:57]<+camerongray> Although it is the reason why GlitchPC had to close
[08:58]<+pottsi> all of the times?
[08:58]<+pottsi> riiight
[09:00]<GlitchPC> I, personally, take full responsibility for what happened to Glitch PC. It was my "true friends" who brought it back...and kept in check for me.
[09:01]<+pottsi> like i said, i couldn't care less what happens to glitchPC
[09:01]<+pottsi> i'm saying you made your own enemies, with the actions *you* choose to do
[09:01]<GlitchPC> Then why are you here...and why did you bring it up? To try and get a "rise" out of me?
[09:02]<GlitchPC> I was speaking to camerongray about SSDs
[09:02]<+pottsi> I've been here for the past few years
[09:02]<GlitchPC> I'm happy for you
[09:02]<+pottsi> /probably/ spent longer here than you have.
[09:02]<GlitchPC> Now...I'm "elated"
[09:02]<+pottsi> awesome
[09:03]<+pottsi> 32 users eh, must take alot of your time
[09:06]<GlitchPC> It has its moments...
[09:07]<+pottsi> i'm sure, anyway i have work todo. good luck
[09:07]<GlitchPC> I'm sure you do...
[09:08]<+pottsi> some of us have too :)
[09:08]<GlitchPC> Bwahahah

[10:24]<sonicrules1234> Just thought I'd let you know
[10:24]<+Tux2> Yeah, I know
[10:25]<sonicrules1234> What mc version is the latest bukkit build for?
[10:25]<+Tux2> 1.2.4
[10:25]<+Tux2> 1.2.3*
[10:25]<+Tux2> I just updated the server
[10:25]<sonicrules1234> Ah
[10:25]<sonicrules1234> I'll tell that to andrules
[10:25]<+Tux2> Yeah, going to have to do something about showcase though... It's not working properly with the new 1.2.3 update
[10:33]<+camerongray> Dang!
[10:34]<sonicrules1234> Take a look at this new error screen that's gonna be in the new version
[10:34]<sonicrules1234> http://i.imgur.com/rhhxe.png
[10:34]<sonicrules1234> Or is the changelog public already?
[10:41]<@Mulreay> It should be
[11:09]<@Mulreay> 74% on the new video.. I hate how I can't really use the PC for MC whilst this renders

[12:44]<@Mulreay> You will be there.. I hope
[12:45]<+camerongray> Yeah
[12:45]<+camerongray> Just need to schedule it so I can
[12:45]<+camerongray> The issue is time zones
[12:46]<+camerongray> Probably best to do it Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday around 8pm GMT
[12:46]<@Mulreay> Yeah, we can work it out on a weekend I'm sure
[12:46]<+camerongray> Or weekends
[12:46]<+camerongray> Although I tend to do less during the week in the evenings
[12:46]<@Mulreay> We will work something out
[12:47]<+camerongray> And if Tux got inthelittlewood that would RULE!
[12:47]<@Mulreay> yep
[12:47]<+camerongray> Or WTFMinecraft - I like him
[12:48]<+camerongray> And I can use teamspeak too
[12:48]<@Mulreay> cool
[12:48]<+camerongray> My MBP has a working mic or I can use my desktop which is back to windows
[12:48]<+camerongray> Or use the MBP for teamspeak
[12:49]<+camerongray> Could even set up an IRC channel for Mods/Admins to discuss stuff
[12:49]<@Mulreay> Thta would be cool
[12:52]<+camerongray> What would we do in terms of tools?
[12:52]<+camerongray> Bring our own or have an unlimited supply?
[12:52]<@Mulreay> Bring your own.. as we dig you can make new ones
[12:52]<+camerongray> Cool
[12:52]<+camerongray> Bring wood too :P
[12:53]<+camerongray> I can supply cooked pork
[12:53]<+camerongray> If you want you can collect some from my grinder
[12:53]<+camerongray> Produces cooked pork very quickly
[12:53]<@Mulreay> I did mention the food in the video.. I will place a pig spawner
[12:53]<+camerongray> Saw that
[12:53]<+camerongray> But my grinder automatically cooks them
[12:54]<+camerongray> Want me to show you where it is
[12:54]<+camerongray> ?
[12:55]<@Mulreay> May be donate some food to a chest?
[12:55]<+camerongray> Will do
[12:55]<+camerongray> Just needs someone to stand to collect it
[12:57]<@Mulreay> I think it would be best if we placed 20 pork chops in everyones chests.. then they can take them and that's your lot
[12:58]<+camerongray> Cool
[12:58]<@Mulreay> I will put a spider in your chest
[12:58]<@Mulreay> :p
