[05:18]<@BC_Programming> heh... I just had my Win98 computer on the internet
[05:19]<@BC_Programming> I went to google
[05:19]<@BC_Programming> then I tried to go to bc-programming.com and it froze solid
[05:19]<@BC_Programming> it can't take the amount of epic I guess
[05:19]<+Mulreay> lol
[05:20]<@BC_Programming> probably bad sectors on the drive though
[05:21]<@BC_Programming> the drive is after all 15 years old
[05:21]<@BC_Programming> getting that PC-Card installed in the laptop was extremely annoying. But it was totally worth it
[05:21]<@BC_Programming> not because I can use the laptop
[05:21]<@BC_Programming> but just so I got to hear the eject noise the laptop makes
[05:23]<+Mulreay> heh
[05:24]<+Mulreay> BC_Programming have you used www.onlive.com yet?
[05:24]<@BC_Programming> no idea wtf that is
[05:24]<+Mulreay> awesomeness
[05:24]<@BC_Programming> oh looks pointless
[05:24]<@BC_Programming> well to me
[05:24]<+Mulreay> Awesome for me
[05:25]<@BC_Programming> ahh
[05:25]<+Mulreay> I can now play high end games on well.. everything
[05:27] * BC_Programming (BC_Program@mib-B9446845.no.shawcable.net) Quit (Quit: A train station is where a train stops, a bus station is where a bus stops. Guess what happens at my workstation.)

[05:32]<BC_Programmer> desktop giving me issues
[05:32]<BC_Programmer> photoshop froze solid, powerarchiver froze solid earlier
[05:32]<+Mulreay> not good
[05:32]<BC_Programmer> few days ago was pinnacle studio. gotten tired of it so doing a disk check
[05:33]<BC_Programmer> I was trying to make the image for the explodey block thing that blows up blocks around it
[05:33]<BC_Programmer> most of the code is done just need the image :D
[05:33]<+Mulreay> cool
[05:33]<BC_Programmer> the one that makes new blocks is done already
[05:34]<BC_Programmer> the exploding ones should work in a chain reaction too, heh
[05:34]<+Mulreay> heh, nice
[05:36]<BC_Programmer> well assuming I can get my desktop to boot up again -_-
[05:37]<BC_Programmer> ahh there it goes
[05:37]<BC_Programmer> just needed the threat of percussive maintenance
[05:38]<+Mulreay> heh
[05:41]<+Mulreay> Sure you don't wanna sign up for onlive? Multiplayer and what not
[05:41]<+Mulreay> ahhhh balls brb
[05:41] * Mulreay (mulreay@mib-3C3529E4.cable.virginmedia.com) Quit (Quit: Smoke me a Kipper, I'll be back for breakfast!)
[05:59]<BC_Programmer> hmm windows no longer wants to boot it seems
[05:59]<BC_Programmer> probably shouldn't have left the room during the disk check
[06:02]<BC_Programmer> oh... no it just takes forever now, should look into that
[06:15] * Mulreay (mulreay@mib-3C3529E4.cable.virginmedia.com) has joined #glitchpc
[06:15]<Mulreay> That was sooo funny
[06:15]<Mulreay> I will explain
[06:15] * ChanbotV sets mode: +v Mulreay
[06:15]<BC_Programmer> k
[06:16]<BC_Programmer> finally got my laptop to load bc-programming.com, it's hilariously broken
[06:20]<+Mulreay> On onlive you can basically watch in on any game being played on the servers... (1000's) so you can spectate. You can also cheer or jeer the person playing dependant on how there doing. I started playing Batman Arkham Asylum (first go, with an XBox controller no less) and I got to a bit where you have to glide down and kick someone... I was already a tad nervous as I had 6 people spectating...
[06:20]<+Mulreay> I missed it the first go so had to reset to a checkpoint, second go I just missed the guy and everyone started cheering me... was far funnier than if they had jeered me... sorry it just tickled me
[06:20]<BC_Programmer> haha
[06:21]<BC_Programmer> I should record some more mario LPs
[06:21]<BC_Programmer> just because I kick ass at those games usually
[06:21]<+Mulreay> yeah, I should too... I may do some LP's off of onlive actually... only need to run fraps
[06:21]<BC_Programmer> yeah should make that easier for you :P
[06:21]<+Mulreay> heh yeah
[06:22]<BC_Programmer> I can already record fine, heh
[06:22]<+Mulreay> Mmm not sure how my desktop would handle fraps though... may need to do it on the laptop instead
[06:22]<BC_Programmer> as evidenced particularly by the utterly pointless "music video" things I made with minecraft, lol
[06:22]<+Mulreay> heh, I liked them
[06:23]<+Mulreay> That darth and fluttershy video was awesome you liked
[06:23]<BC_Programmer> lol yeah that was hilarious
[06:23]<+Mulreay> I had to give it a like as well, and I don't dish them out often
[06:24]<BC_Programmer> I'm starting to give them out more myself
[06:25]<+Mulreay> I always give them for friends but less for others
[06:25]<+Mulreay> I have to REALLY like it
[06:25]<BC_Programmer> brb
[06:26] * BC_Programmer (bc_program@mib-B9446845.no.shawcable.net) Quit (Quit: Leaving)

[06:28]<+Mulreay> ahh found the turn off for spectators
[06:28]<+Mulreay> button*
[06:28]<+Mulreay> not like sexually
[06:28]<@BC_Programming> LOL
[06:29]<+Mulreay> You should sign up for the free account anyway, then you can actually watch me in real time playing games
[06:30]<@BC_Programming> now you've got me searching for more weird crossover videos
[06:32]<+Mulreay> heh
[06:42]<@BC_Programming> http://www.bc-programming.com/images/ie6bcpfail.png
[06:42]<@BC_Programming> that's what my page looks like on my laptop, lol
[06:45]<+Mulreay> lol
[06:46]<@BC_Programming> that's the entire screen size too, looks tiny
[07:03]<+Mulreay> Gonna try a quick videooooooo
[07:04]<@BC_Programming> k
[07:05]<+Mulreay> Sorry my o key heard me say that and paniked

[07:10]<@BC_Programming> OK
[07:10]<@BC_Programming> no way
[07:10]<@BC_Programming> on ebay my sound card would cost like 120 bucks
[07:10]<@BC_Programming> still that is... it's like 3 years old
[07:11]<@BC_Programming> did I actually pay that much for it? geez I was a retard
[07:12]<@BC_Programming> oh never mind that's one of the super awesomo editions
[07:13]<@BC_Programming> new boxed copies of Super Mario world are going for like 300 dollars
[07:13]<@BC_Programming> if only I could go back in time
[07:14]<@BC_Programming> and tell my 7 year old self not to ever play the game
[07:14]<@BC_Programming> or open it
[07:16]<@BC_Programming> why are the good SNES games I don't have so expensive
[07:17]<@BC_Programming> http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Mega-Man-1-Nintendo-NES-Brand-New-VGA-80-Gold-Seal-/130530149946?pt=Video_Games_Games&hash=item1e6434063a
[07:17]<@BC_Programming> :O
[07:17]<@BC_Programming> WUT
[07:19]<+Mulreay> OK new video recorded, one of my worst yet but will do for now
[07:19]<@BC_Programming> oh sorry, home my ramblings didn't ruin it or something
[07:19]<@BC_Programming> hope*
[07:19]<+Mulreay> I turned 'tips' off
[07:20]<@BC_Programming> I wonder if a euro SNES cart would work on my North american system
[07:26]<@BC_Programming> now that I think about it it is definitely a good thing I cut back on work
[07:26]<@BC_Programming> because I'd spend the money on crap
[07:26]<@BC_Programming> "Oh cool I totally don't know what that game is and it's unlikely I'll ever play it.. .but it HAS A DRAGON on the fecking label!"
[07:27]<@BC_Programming> "I don't know what this game is or what it's about but the label uses a lot of saturated colours that hurt my retinas when I stare at it, so it must be good"
[07:28]<+Mulreay> lol
[07:32]<+Mulreay> Had to run it through Camtasia first... audio is aweful.. but hey ho
[07:33]<@BC_Programming> uploading?
[07:33]<+Mulreay> rendering from camtasia
[07:33]<@BC_Programming> oh ok
[07:33]<+Mulreay> it's 1.44gb
[07:35]<+Mulreay> About 20mins to render then about 40mins to upload then about 30mins to process... it's a looooong one
[07:35]<+Mulreay> not in length just in task
[07:36]<+Mulreay> Actually will upload the original file and see if it's much different
[07:39]<+Mulreay> About 45mins for the upload at the moment, I'm rendering and uploading at the same time..
[07:48]<+Mulreay> Haha 'we have detected a high latency connection to the internet' ahhh this is why I pay for 50mb/s... not even a shudder in game play
[07:54]<+camerongray> lol
[07:54]<+camerongray> My friend has that - I gave him all the reviews to upload
[07:56]<+Mulreay> For onlive?
[07:56]<+camerongray> onlive?
[07:58]<+Mulreay> I was reviewing onlive thought that's what you meant
[07:58]<+camerongray> Ahh - No, the reviews for the new channel
[07:58]<+Mulreay> ahh ok
[07:58]<+camerongray> Getting an HTC sensation and IdeaPad U260 to review :D
[07:59]<+Mulreay> sweet
[07:59]<@BC_Programming> creepers piss me off
[07:59]<@BC_Programming> just thought I'd mention that
[07:59]<+camerongray> And Sharkoon said they are probably able to send a case but the person who deals with the UK is on holiday
[07:59]<+camerongray> I just hope sharkoon don't want it back - I need a new case
[08:00]<+Mulreay> Creepers are your friend... all they need is a hug... when you hug them they explode with pleasure.... anyone else thinking the further I go with this it seems more depraved
[08:00]<@BC_Programming> haha
[08:00]<@BC_Programming> it's fun to torture them with snowmen
[08:06]<+Mulreay> I bought an XBox360 controller to use with Onlive... Am I happy? No. Is it the most bizarre ergonomically designed controller ever? Probably. Do I miss the PS3 controller? Are you fecking kidding me!! I would sleep with Akio Morita and Masaru Ibuka if they would make a PS3 controller that worked with MS of the PS3 design... lets share the wealth people
[08:07]<@BC_Programming> the xbox controller was worse
[08:07]<@BC_Programming> SNES controller was pinnacle of perfection of course
[08:07]<@BC_Programming> well, at least as far as controllers without analog go
[08:08]<+Mulreay> For me the pinnacle has to be the PS3 controller, sorry but it's my favourite of all time
[08:08]<+Mulreay> yeah
[08:08]<@BC_Programming> it's exactly the same as the PS2 controller
[08:08]<@BC_Programming> except for the button in the middle for wireless or whatever
[08:09]<+Mulreay> Yeah just keeping with the times...
[08:09]<+Mulreay> But that design is soooo good.. hence why logitech follow it
[08:10]<+Mulreay> The XBox 360 just feels .... awkward
[08:10]<@BC_Programming> Now to record an attempted SMW speedrun
[08:10]<@BC_Programming> with commentary of course
[08:11]<@BC_Programming> commentary is important
[08:11]<+Mulreay> My upload has 9mins left
[08:11]<+Mulreay> But it's shite so don't be expecting lol's
[08:11]<@BC_Programming> mine on the other hand
[08:11]<@BC_Programming> will be a pinnacle of directing mastery
[08:11]<+Mulreay> I had to adlib most of the way waiting for my laptop to catchup
[08:11]<+Mulreay> lol
[08:11]<@BC_Programming> or possibly a lot of swearing, depending on how well I do
[08:23]<+Mulreay> OK video up, processing

[11:19]<+Mulreay> Hey Craig
[11:20]<@BC_Programming> gannon ban
[11:20]<Craig> :) Hey Mulreay how goes it?
[11:20]<+Mulreay> BC_Programming ban what? Craig hey buddy missed you
[11:21]<@BC_Programming> I dunno
[11:22]<@BC_Programming> oh hey I found this weird queen thing, don't stop me now with "long lost guitars" or something
[11:22]<@BC_Programming> not sure if they were edited in or if it was some other studio track or what
[11:22]<Craig> Yeah missed you too,
[11:22]<Craig> :) What you all up to?
[11:23]<+Mulreay> Same old Craig
[11:23]<+Mulreay> Can you send me the tracks BC?
[11:23]<@BC_Programming> well actually it's only that one I've found so far that's different
[11:23]<@BC_Programming> not sure if DCC will work, wil ltry
[11:24]<Craig> Cool,
[11:24]<Craig> Anyone know how to get Ubuntu 10.04 X64 to work on a Xeon server hardware setup?
[11:25]<@BC_Programming> sorry craig can't say that I do
[11:25]<Craig> :P
[11:26]<+Mulreay> Oh oh I new there was something....
[11:26]<@BC_Programming> uploading to my .COM
[11:27]<@BC_Programming> it's a .flac file btw
[11:27]<+camerongray> Hey Craig
[11:27]<Craig> Hey Cameron
[11:27]<+Mulreay> Just out of interest Mike and Craig, how much would you charge for a Canadian Gold Malple leaf?
[11:28]<@BC_Programming> I don't have one to sell... :P
[11:28]<Craig> Why would we sell one? Their free?
[11:28]<+Mulreay> But you can get one... the silver is about 45
[11:28]<+Mulreay> $5
[11:29]<Craig> Oh you mean real gold?
[11:29]<+Mulreay> yeah
[11:29]<@BC_Programming> I don't even know what you are talking about, lol
[11:29]<+Mulreay> Craig does
[11:30]<@BC_Programming> well thing is I figured you meant actual gold, you just didn't give any info on how big they are or any of that which would be sort of important
[11:30]<+Mulreay> heh
[11:32]<+Mulreay> It's hardly a krugerrand... but I may follow some friends and buy some gold
[11:33]<@BC_Programming> just don't make tools out of it
[11:34]<+Mulreay> My friend last week bought 10 Canadian silver leaf coins all were $5 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadian_Silver_Maple_Leaf
[11:35]<@BC_Programming> oooh
[11:35]<@BC_Programming> coins
[11:35]<@BC_Programming> I mean
[11:35]<@BC_Programming> I knew that
[11:35]<+Mulreay> Well coins hold abouit 6% over the actual value
[11:36]<+Mulreay> about*
[11:36]<@BC_Programming> I think I have a silver one somewhere
[11:37]<+Mulreay> Don't scratch it.... what you should do, just in case you guys decide to not have the Queen/King as head of state, the corination coins untoutched will be will worth a fair amount
[11:37]<@BC_Programming> yeah I got it from work because I found it in a till and thought it was basically a dollar
[11:38]<@BC_Programming> so I Swapped it for a loonie... or maybe it was a 5
[11:38]<+Mulreay> loomie?
[11:38]<@BC_Programming> dollar coin
[11:38]<@BC_Programming> standard
[11:38]<+Mulreay> ahh
[11:38]<@BC_Programming> but yeah it wasn't in perfect shape when I got it
[11:38]<@BC_Programming> I just thought it was cool
[11:39]<+Mulreay> Basically when the queen dies and your government would probably just say 'ok WER
[11:39]<+Mulreay> NVDKLS;HIW;rohs\gbvf
[11:39]<+Mulreay> dam,n
[11:40]<+Mulreay> 'OK were done' I would just collect coins

[11:49]<Craig> Annnd I am back :P
[11:49]<Craig> Had to reset all my routers...
[11:49]<Tux2> Hey Craig, trying to get ubuntu to go on a xeon processor?
[11:49]<Craig> Yeah
[11:49]<Craig> I was thinking about going with SuSE linux
[11:49]<Tux2> What exactly is tripping you up?
[11:50]<Craig> The drives were reporting that they could not be initialized, so I de raided them, same problem
[11:50]<+camerongray> I hate Adobe - $699 for flash builder!
[11:50]<Craig> its on a actual server board and everything
[11:50]<Tux2> ahhh... yeah... Try CentOS
[11:50]<Tux2> I remember having the same problem on one of my machines...
[11:51]<Tux2> centos was the only one to take
[11:51]<Craig> I have tried 32bit and 64 bit versions and even desktop and server...
[11:51]<Craig> Really?
[11:51]<Craig> Not even SuSE?\
[11:51]<Tux2> Yup, even openSuSE didn't work.
[11:51]<Craig> wow
[11:51]<Tux2> lol, yeah
[11:51]<Craig> That says something about Xeon crap eh?
[11:51]<Tux2> lol, more about the RAID controller
[11:51]<Craig> Yeah
[11:52]<Tux2> If you wanted to get complete Ubuntu compatibility you should have gone with System76
[11:52]<Craig> Is there a CentOS server?
[11:52]<Craig> System76?
[11:52]<Craig> The server was not built by me, it was handed to me to get working...
[11:53]<Craig> What is the most recent stable CentOS release?
[11:53]<Craig> WOW, Ubuntu Desktop only just loaded the install or boot selection screen...
[11:54]<Craig> Thats a10 minute boot for linux.
[11:54]<Craig> hahahaha
[11:54]<Craig> Oh! We may have a desktop here. :P
[11:55]<Tux2> Craig: http://centos.mirror.facebook.net/6/isos/x86_64/CentOS-6.0-x86_64-netinstall.iso
[11:55]<Tux2> that will let you install a server based system without a gui
[11:55]<Craig> WOOT, I have a Ubuntu Desktop
[11:56]<Craig> Think I will be able to get it to install?
[11:56]<Tux2> If it's a HDD controller problem, no. But you can always give it a shot
[11:56]<Craig> Hey Got a model for the controller,
[11:56]<Craig> Is there anyway to get something to be compatible with it?
[11:57]<Tux2> compile your own kernel drivers
[11:57]<Tux2> What is the server going to be used for?
[11:58]<Tux2> CentOS is the rebranded version of RedHat. So it is built for enterprise servers
[11:58]<Craig> Its going to be used for a file server and a Linux Active directory setup
[11:58]<Craig> cool,
[11:59]<Craig> I was able to make a Swap and / and /home directory structure?
[11:59]<Craig> Think it would take?
[11:59]<Tux2> might.
[12:01]<Craig> I was able to make partitions on all the drives, but I cannot see the 4th drive?

[12:01]<Tux2> Interesting...
[12:01]<Tux2> Might try centos if it doesn't work right...
[12:02]<Craig> What version of CentOS should I use?
[12:02]<Tux2> The version I just linked you
[12:02]<Tux2> Unless it isn't 64 bit

[12:04]<Craig> I got a 4port PS2 KVM yesterday, :) Liking it more and more, :P
[12:05]<@BC_Programming> my Ethernet 10/100 PC-Card showed up yesterday
[12:05]<@BC_Programming> getting it working was a pain
[12:05]<Craig> Is CentOS a RPM based install?
[12:06]<Craig> Oh why is that BC?

[12:06]<Tux2> Yes Craig, it's just like fedora and redhad
[12:06]<@BC_Programming> Craig: it was a cheap-o chinese one, I basically had to find out what the hardware was and download the driver
[12:06]<Craig> Ahh ok
[12:06]<Craig> HAHAHAHAH nice
[12:06]<Tux2> Basically it's RedHad re-branded
[12:06]<Craig> Thanks Tux
[12:06]<@BC_Programming> ended up using everest home on the laptop to find out it was a realtek, installed the driver and it works
[12:06]<Tux2> No problem
[12:06]<Craig> The installer stopped on setting the time in the Ubuntu install... :P hahahahah
[12:06]<Craig> Woot, Keyboard now! :P
[12:06]<Tux2> lol...
[12:07]<Craig> Sooooo SLOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW
[12:07]<@BC_Programming> but IE seems to freeze randomly on it, not sure if that's the laptop or the PC-Card causing it
[12:07]<Craig> shutup chanbot...
[12:07]<Tux2> I'm loving synergy. I'm iteracting with my laptop and desktop like they were one computer!
[12:07]<Craig> When Does IE ever not freeze?
[12:07]<Craig> Yeah thats cool too but I dont have enough monitors. ;
[12:07]<@BC_Programming> problem is IE is the only browser other than lynx the laptop is likely to use
[12:07]<Craig> I have 6 computers now and only 4 screens. :P
[12:08]<@BC_Programming> be able to use*
[12:08]<@BC_Programming> I was able to see how bad my site looks in IE6 though, lol
[12:08]<Tux2> lol, yeah, that's a problem... this is just a desktop and a laptop though
[12:08]<@BC_Programming> http://www.bc-programming.com/images/ie6bcpfail.png
[12:08]<Craig> frozen on the keyboard selection screen. :P
[12:08]<Craig> HAHHAHAHAHA Nice BC, thats awesome
[12:08]<Tux2> lol!
[12:09]<Tux2> At least the website I'm desiging right now looks slightly better in IE 6
[12:09]<@BC_Programming> it actually wouldn't be too bad if I used a IE6 PNG fix or something
[12:09]<@BC_Programming> it's mostly the PNG alpha that makes it look bad
[12:09]<Tux2> lol, yeah.
[12:09]<@BC_Programming> oh and some of the CSS doesn't work
[12:09]<Craig> Its IE 6 let it DIE!!!
[12:09]<@BC_Programming> but I'm far too lazy to make a special bit for IE6
[12:09]<Tux2> take a look at this website in IE 6: http://frogle.org
[12:10]<@BC_Programming> well I'd have to boot the laptop up again :P
[12:10]<Tux2> lol...
[12:10]<@BC_Programming> I was considering trying an early version of FF to see if that hangs like IE does, not sure whether to blame IE or the 4 dollar PC-Card
[12:11]<Craig> hahahah
[12:12]<@BC_Programming> it's passive matrix screen looks bloody awful
[12:12]<@BC_Programming> I can't believe I used to play quake on it
[12:12]<Tux2> lol...
[12:13]<Tux2> At least you weren't working on a B&W laptop in 2002
[12:13]<@BC_Programming> I'm booting it up to see what it looks like
[12:13]<@BC_Programming> ...
[12:13]<Craig> ...
[12:13]<@BC_Programming> I had a 286 with a hercules monochrome screen at that time
[12:13]<Tux2> lol... That's what I had...
[12:14]<Tux2> 60MHz...
[12:14]<@BC_Programming> 286 only went to 12Mhz... afaik
[12:14]<@BC_Programming> that sounds more like a 486
[12:14]<Tux2> oh, must have been a 386
[12:14]<Tux2> I know it wasn't a P1, that's for sure...
[12:14]<@BC_Programming> 386's went to 33Mhz standard
[12:14]<@BC_Programming> 40Mhz for servers
[12:14]<Tux2> hmm....
[12:15]<Tux2> Might have been slower than I remmber
[12:15]<@BC_Programming> 'Zeos' ring a bell? I know they made 386SL laptops
[12:16]<Tux2> YUP!
[12:16]<Tux2> That's what it was. :D
[12:17]<Tux2> I had forgotten the name too.... lol...
[12:17]<@BC_Programming> Zeos 386, they were monochrome, 12mhz so yeah slower than you remember
[12:18]<Tux2> lol... I must be rounding the MHz up to the hard drive space, because i know for sure that it had a 60Mb hard drive
[12:18]<@BC_Programming> I know about the Zeos because I have a really old Visual Basic book where the author uses one for testing
[12:19]<Tux2> lol...
[12:19]<@BC_Programming> laptop just hung hard trying to load frogle, lol
[12:19]<@BC_Programming> I'll try putting FF 1.5 on it
[12:20]<Tux2> I really should have kept it, but my mom made me get rid of it... she said "It's either your desktop or your laptop. I'm not letting you have more than one computer...
[12:20]<@BC_Programming> wtf

[12:22]<Tux2> you*
[12:22]<@BC_Programming> that would have pissed me off
[12:22]<Craig> !re-run
[12:22]<Tux2> Oh, it did BC_Programming... quite...
[12:22]<@BC_Programming> paint it
[12:23]<@BC_Programming> call it a paperweight
[12:23]<@BC_Programming> problem solved
[12:23]<Tux2> lol, it's already in the dump sadly. :(
[12:23]<@BC_Programming> yeah
[12:23]<@BC_Programming> you should have sold it
[12:24]<Craig> Just because I can, I am installing Windows 98 on the Ubuntu Server with the Phenom Processor, :p
[12:24]<@BC_Programming> um
[12:24]<@BC_Programming> ok
[12:24]<Craig> in a VM... not as the OS... :P
[12:25]<@BC_Programming> oh
[12:25]<@BC_Programming> whew
[12:25]<Craig> HAHAHAAH
[12:25]<Tux2> lol
[12:26]<Craig> Wow, is the mouse every finiky on that windows emulation. :P
[12:26]<@BC_Programming> my newer laptop's touchpad acts funky in win7
[12:27]<@BC_Programming> like it has a different sensitivity horizontally and vertically
[12:27]<Craig> Yeah, they integrated some different touch controls in windows 7 messes with most pads...
[12:27]<@BC_Programming> weirdly it worked when I used to use Win7 as it's primary OS
[12:27]<Craig> dunno
[12:27]<Craig> different drivers?
[12:28]<Craig> Did you get the proprietary ones?
[12:28]<@BC_Programming> it's practically a clean install+drivers though, probably some settings I haven't bothered to tweak
[12:28]<@BC_Programming> it works fine in Mint 10 which is it's main OS so meh
[12:29]<@BC_Programming> now to install FF 1.5 and see if it doesn't hang like IE
[12:29]<@BC_Programming> or if it even works reasonably with 144MB of memory
[12:29]<Craig> :P
[12:32]<@BC_Programming> well it works
[12:32]<@BC_Programming> complains that it's old
[12:32]<@BC_Programming> but oh well
[12:32]<@BC_Programming> also it uses up nearly all the memory, haha
[12:33]<@BC_Programming> darn, seems the hard crash is from the PC-card in some way
[12:33]<@BC_Programming> well that's dissapointing
[12:34]<Craig> I really like linux's processor scaling, or atleast that you can see it happening. :p
[12:35]<Craig> Wow, heh, there is a page that is throttling me to 50kb/s
[12:35]<Craig> :P
[12:35]<Craig> It reminds me of my dialup days. :p[
[12:35]<Craig> :P
[12:36]<Craig> HAHAHA the ubuntu install is stuck on the keyboard selection. :P
[12:41]<Craig> Wow, the CentOS CD is SOOOOOOOO much Faster! :P
[12:41]<Craig> ... ok it stopped again. :p
[12:43]<@BC_Programming> haha
[12:45]<Craig> says waiting for hardware to initialize...?
[12:47]<@BC_Programming> yay, construction and explosion blocks are working
[12:52]<Craig> What URL do I use to do a web install of CentOS?
[12:52]<Craig> Tux2
[12:52]<Tux2> Craig, there should be a default in there...
[12:52]<Craig> didnt seem to load?
[12:52]<Tux2> Or you'll have to put in a mirror address....
[12:53]<Craig> what address is that?
[12:56]<Craig> Oh, I got it. NVM
[12:56]<Craig> :)
[12:56]<Craig> Thanks Tux
[12:56]<Craig> Git it here, http://www.chrisgountanis.com/technical/45-centos-netinstall.html in one of the last messages
[12:56]<Tux2> lol, no problem... I was googling the question
[12:56]<+camerongray> BC, RE the touchpad, check the display res/drivers - I found on my netbook the touchpad was acting like the screen was 4:3 but was actually 16:9 hence the odd speed in different directions - Updating the drivers fixed it
[12:57]<Craig> :P hahaah forgot about display res. :p
[12:57]<+camerongray> So yeh, check that
[12:58]<Craig> No, I mean your answer covered what I had forgotten about,
[12:58]<Craig> a 4:3 will run the mouse faster left to right then up down, and if its 4:3 oin 16:9 it would do that. :P
[12:59]<@BC_Programming> it's faster up/down then left/right
[12:59]<@BC_Programming> pretty sure the display res is set proper, will check anyway next time I'm booted into win7
[13:00]<Craig> Oh? HAHAHAH well... heh your hooped.
[13:00]<Craig> :P
[13:02]<+camerongray> I take it you instaled the synaptic/alps drivers
[13:02]<@BC_Programming> yes
[13:03]<@BC_Programming> this isn't really something I need to diagnose to be honest, I hardly boot into windows 7 at all and just haven't been bothered enough when I do to figure out why
[13:10]<Craig> Sooo, does anyone know how to setup an Active Directory structure with Samba and LDAP?
