[07:54]<+Mulreay> any good?
[07:55]<Tux2> Um, uh, it's a two parter....

[07:56]<Tux2> Uploading to youtube once I'm done processing it...
[07:56]<+Mulreay> cool
[07:57]<Tux2> I had to record the audio and the video separately so i have to audio sync...
[08:14]<Tux2> Just watched some of the footage and audio, it recorded perfectly!
[08:19]<+Mulreay> cool
[08:19]<Tux2> Just need to synch it up. ;)

[09:22]<@BC_Programming> now for ponies
[09:29]<Tux2> BC_Programming: well, you're going to have to wait... just pieced it together... converting and uploading now...
[09:30]<@BC_Programming> I'm watching it now...
[09:30]<Tux2> I don't know if there's another version available yet...
[09:30]<Tux2> lol, okay
[09:30]<@BC_Programming> 720p, but with commercials
[09:30]<@BC_Programming> but I just skip those
[09:32]<Tux2> lol...
[09:32]<@BC_Programming> so far it feels, weird for some reason
[09:34]<Tux2> Yeah, that's what I thought...
[09:35]<@BC_Programming> not bad though, just weird
[09:36]<Tux2> yup
[09:36]<Tux2> where are you at?
[09:36]<@BC_Programming> the part where applejack looks in that lake thing
[09:36]<Tux2> ah...
[09:37]<Tux2> That's what I'm rendering right now...
[09:45]<@BC_Programming> still looking forward to the exciting conclusion
[09:45]<Tux2> lol, yup
[09:46]<@BC_Programming> it's different, but I kind of like it better so far

[10:55]<Tux2> Oh, BC_Programming, you'll get a kick out of this: apparently my provider uses a spam service detection that lowers reputation scores when it recieves an email from @localhost.... I had a script for my own personal use on my server that was sending reports on the @localhost domain, making it so that I couldn't recieve my own email, even though I never marked it as spam!
[10:56]<@BC_Programming> haha
[10:56]<Tux2> Yeah, I was the only person it sent the localhost reports to, so I thought I was safe...
[10:57]<Tux2> pfft... I was wrong...
[10:58]<Tux2> It looks like after I changed that I'm on my way back up though.
[10:58]<@BC_Programming> I kind of wish I waited for the second part before watching that episode now
[10:59]<Tux2> lol...
[10:59]<Tux2> We thought both parts were airing.... the brony community was WRONG!
[11:00]<Tux2> and so was the TV....
[11:00]<@BC_Programming> with the first season's pilot I didn't have that problem since when I started watching they were on episode 7
[11:00]<Tux2> lol, they were all done airing when I watched them...
[11:01]<@BC_Programming> yeah like I said I liked it before it was cool
[11:01]<@BC_Programming> once a week iirc
[11:03]<Tux2> lol
[11:07]<Tux2> lol, I could upload the entire audio from both showings...
[11:07]<Tux2> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nn0j1PVk30k&hd=1
[11:08]<@BC_Programming> that's the one I watched, I think. subbed as well
[11:09]<Tux2> Without ads?
[11:09]<@BC_Programming> no
[11:09]<@BC_Programming> same user though
[11:09]<Tux2> lol, yup
[11:09]<Tux2> Just thought you would like the link
[11:11]<Tux2> lol, I never store bookmarks on my computers anymore... just too vulnerable that way...
[11:12]<@BC_Programming> oh?
[11:13]<Tux2> When you switch computers and OSs all the time it's hard to keep track of which bookmarks are where...
[11:13]<@BC_Programming> oh, yeah
[11:13]<Tux2> Synch doesn't work too well when you are trying to fix a client's computer either
[11:14]<Tux2> I think the only bookmarks I really have is just the MyFavs.me add bookmark bookmark...

[11:21]<+camerongray> Stupid viruses
[11:21]<+camerongray> Or more like stupid Norton for advertising so people buy it and letting people get infected
[11:23]<@BC_Programming> if you ask me all AV software is pretty much useless
[11:23]<@BC_Programming> but Norton is more useless
[11:23]<@BC_Programming> it's... negative usefulness, that's how useless it is
[11:25]<+camerongray> lol
[11:25]<@BC_Programming> Norton 360
[11:26]<@BC_Programming> that is a good name for their product, it describes it well. It leaves your computer unwatched all around
[11:26]<@BC_Programming> while pretending to be "protecting" you.
[11:26]<+camerongray> lol
[11:26]<@BC_Programming> I rather like how they all use ridiculously stupid user interfaces
[11:26]<@BC_Programming> oh did I say like, I was being sarcastic there
[11:26]<+camerongray> Ahh - Only 27 infected objects when running MBAM in safe mode
[11:27]<Tux2> lol...
[11:27]<Tux2> And another reason why I use linux?
[11:27]<@BC_Programming> I mean really, when they find a virus, do they really need to show a caricature of one? Does everything in that dialog have to suddenly look like you've gone to defcon 5?
[11:28]<@BC_Programming> I use windows primarily and I don't use any real-time AV
[11:28]<@BC_Programming> I'll occasionally run mbam though, probably about as often as you mess up your install and have to use a different distro, tux2. :P
[11:29]<Tux2> Hey, bc, have you seen this yet: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wNB8N2Gcbh4 ?
[11:29]<@BC_Programming> oh where's that one?
[11:29]<@BC_Programming> oh nvm I see now, heh
[11:30]<Tux2> lol...
[11:32]<+camerongray> I always like having an AV - Peace of mind really
[11:32]<+camerongray> And with 8gb RAM, it doesn't hardly bog down the system :P
[11:32]<@BC_Programming> it's fake peace of mind...
[11:33]<+camerongray> lol
[11:33]<@BC_Programming> I mean really, with Vista/7, the amount of crap a user has to go through to get malware to run, it's their own damn fault. First they have to download something infected, which is pretty easy to avoid by not being stupid. than they have to run it, and give it admin access
[11:33]<@BC_Programming> at that point, most people should ask themselves, "why does this free wallpaper need admin access"
[11:34]<@BC_Programming> but I guess they are just so darned excited they just accept the prompt
[11:34]<@BC_Programming> and then OH NOES they are infected
[11:34]<Tux2> lol, I've had viruses come in through java vulnerabilities before...
[11:34]<+camerongray> Yeh
[11:34]<@BC_Programming> not heard of either of those
[11:34]<Tux2> Not on my computer, but on others at work...
[11:34]<@BC_Programming> the major distribution vector for malware is stupidity though
[11:34]<+camerongray> I also use it due to the number of infected PCs I see - Incase I forget to pull the plug on my PC
[11:34]<Tux2> They all lie about where they have been too...
[11:35]<Tux2> A quick history check usually pulls up the offending site pretty quickly...
[11:35]<+camerongray> Yeh - This one was "It just stopped" although there are traces of "Personal Security" which likely changed the proxy server resulting in the connection issues
[11:36]<Tux2> lol, yeah
[11:36]<+camerongray> It can ping sites but cannot actually open anything
[11:36]<@BC_Programming> people piss me off
[11:36]<@BC_Programming> well stupid people
[11:36]<+Mulreay> I'll get my coat then
[11:36]<@BC_Programming> LOL
[11:36]<+Mulreay> heh
[11:36]<@BC_Programming> I got to tell off some stupid old douche today at work
[11:37]<@BC_Programming> one of those bitter old idiots
[11:37]<@BC_Programming> wanted a donut
[11:37]<@BC_Programming> figured he should get it for free
[11:37]<+camerongray> lol
[11:38]<+Mulreay> heh, you seem to get a lot of them
[11:38]<@BC_Programming> I thought it was hilarious tbh, because he was just so stupid
[11:38]<@BC_Programming> "I WANT COFFEE"
[11:38]<+Mulreay> heh
[11:38]<@BC_Programming> "what size?"
[11:38]<@BC_Programming> "I Don't Know"
[11:38]<@BC_Programming> wtf
[11:39]<@BC_Programming> well I can't really help then can I, dumbass
[11:39]<@BC_Programming> how about you go and hassle somebody else with your interpersonal skills that are about equal to an incontinent walrus
[11:40]<+Mulreay> lol
[11:40]<@BC_Programming> well I didn't say that
[11:41]<@BC_Programming> I think the reason we don't get many smart people is because smart people know how to make coffee at home
[11:41]<@BC_Programming> it's really surprisingly simple
[11:42]<@BC_Programming> I rememeber when I first learned about machines that make coffee for you
[11:42]<@BC_Programming> I said "What's next? An icebox we don't have to refill with ice?"
[11:43]<+Mulreay> lol
[11:43]<+camerongray> mmm - History is empty, suspicious
[11:44]<@BC_Programming> there are ways of recovering it if you were really that curious
[11:45]<+camerongray> Mulreay, You're on vista - Do you have a "Security Center" option in control panel?
[11:46]<+Mulreay> yep
[11:46]<+camerongray> Cool
[11:54]<Tux2> lol, we actually had a tracker program on this computer, so i just looked through all the screenshots i had captured over the past 5 hours
[11:54]<@BC_Programming> lol
[11:54]<Tux2> It was very personal stuff on work time...
[12:08]<Tux2> Hey BC_Programming, you can see the ponies in the new map! http://home.jrtechsupport.com:8100/maps/#layerId=LayerA&worldX=-153&worldY=0&worldZ=-146&zoom=5

[14:36]<+camerongray> Fixed the laptop's connection issue
[14:36]<+camerongray> Was a bad uninstall of Norton - Used the norton removal tool and it works
[14:36]<+camerongray> That was after removing 27 viruses
[14:37]<+camerongray> Now I need to fix the partitioning - For some reason Acer have left 16.5gb unalocated, it's only an 80gb drive
[14:39]<+camerongray> Which seems a bit ridiculous - 80gb on a Vista system
[14:43]<+Mulreay> lol
[14:43]<+Mulreay> Would they not be best to just use XP? To save space?
[14:46]<+pottsi> or better still
[14:46]<+pottsi> use linux
[14:46]<+pottsi> win

[15:36]<+camerongray> Mulreay, Might want to upgrade the custom PC ad with an AM3+ board and advertise it as BD ready

[15:36]<Craig> Whats with my computer and OCEANS!!!!
[15:36]<+Mulreay> I need him to cover my bills as well

[15:37]<+Mulreay> heh, Craig
[15:37]<+camerongray> Craig, You still going to play on Tux's server
[15:37]<+camerongray> Mulreay, I'd recommend the Gigabyte 990fxa-UD5 - The one I use
[15:38]<Craig> I have not really gone on there for more than 20-30 minutes at a time...
[15:38]<+camerongray> If you wanted cheaper, the UD3 is good too, just can't do tripple SLI/Crossfire
[15:38]<+Mulreay> link me please on scan... Takes me ages to find stuff in there
[15:38]<+camerongray> You should now - New map
[15:38]<+Mulreay> There are a LOT of ponies on that server
[15:39]<+camerongray> UD5 - http://www.scan.co.uk/products/gigabyte-ga-990fxa-ud5-amd-990fx-s-am3plus-ddr3-sata-iii-6gb-s-raid-sata-pcie-20-(x16)-atx

[15:39]<+Mulreay> thx again bud
[15:39]<+camerongray> Also price from ebuyer and aria, a lot cheaper
[15:39]<+Mulreay> oh ok
[15:40]<+camerongray> And Aria are in manchester so you could probably collect and save on the postage which is expensive for a PC worth of parts
[15:40]<+Mulreay> sweeeeet
[15:42]<+camerongray> M12 4AS - Not sure how near that is to you
[15:44]<+Mulreay> Not too bad, near longsight... would be a couple of buses
[15:44]<+Mulreay> Or just a lift from a bud
[15:47]<+camerongray> cool
[15:47]<+camerongray> lol - Getting on a bus with piles of stuff
[15:48]<+Mulreay> Yeah thought about that after I said it :p
[15:48]<+camerongray> IIRC they can do same day delivery within Manchester - And no courier to break it
[15:48]<+Mulreay> cool
[15:58]<+Mulreay> If I cant fix these module placement issues tonight I may actually cry myself to sleep
