[22:05]<@BC_Programming> Tux2: PHP aye.. if I'm not too late that is
[22:06]<+Craig> Anyone remember the commands for Chanbot? I dont know if he is listening?
[22:06]<@BC_Programming> !seen calum
[22:06]<@Dangerbot> BC_Programming, I don't remember seeing calum.
[22:07]<+Craig> Nice, well that works.
[22:07]<@BC_Programming> well that works anyway
[22:07]<@BC_Programming> !w V9T 1Y1
[22:07]<@BC_Programming> heehee
[22:07]<+Craig> !w T4N 3V8
[22:08]<+Craig> Cool, well thats good to know. :)
[22:08]<@BC_Programming> !w Nanaimo BC
[22:09]<@BC_Programming> guess, no commas?
[22:13]<Tux2> BC_Programming, lol, I got it solved finally...
[22:13]<@BC_Programming> Tux2: cool
[22:13]<Tux2> I set the cookie to only transfer over a secure https connection when I was using http!
[22:15]<@BC_Programming> o
[22:16]<@BC_Programming> hey cool apparently somebody plays on my minecraft server
[22:16]<@BC_Programming> which is weird
[22:16]<@BC_Programming> since I don't have one
[22:17]<@BC_Programming> heh.. Geek-9pm tried to start one of those "video games cause violence" things
[22:17]<@BC_Programming> and I made a nice short post
[22:18]<@BC_Programming> "I don't recall anybody robbing banks and blaming Monopoly"
[22:18]<Tux2> lol...
[22:19]<Tux2> What's this about someone playing on your minecraft server?
[22:19]<Tux2> Oh, BC_Programming, you should get a good laugh out of this: http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/misc-password-protect-your-server.19512/
[22:20]<@BC_Programming> a PM that was sent to a crapload of members on the MC forum, just got it in my inbox...
[22:20]<Tux2> ah...
[22:20]<@BC_Programming> clearly some kind of spam
[22:20]<Tux2> didn't get it...
[22:20]<@BC_Programming> oh wait...
[22:20]<@BC_Programming> it was on youtube
[22:20]<Tux2> last message I got was from Plague about my signature size...
[22:21]<@BC_Programming> "Protects your server with a batch file" << bahaha
[22:22]<@BC_Programming> you were very charitable
[22:25]<Tux2> lol, yeah. I can see some potential, especially since he probably had to google most of the script..
[22:25]<Tux2> and put it together to make it work...
[22:27]<Tux2> Oh, BC_Programming, another thing you might get a laugh at: http://forums.canarymod.net/showthread.php?tid=1223&pid=9633#pid9633
[22:28]<Tux2> Bugless???? lol... I can say that their weather hooks don't work about 3/4ths of the time...
[22:29]<@BC_Programming> "All I've coded are plugins for Canary" << he is going to need psychiatric help
[22:29]<Tux2> lol, yeah....
[22:29]<@BC_Programming> haha... Post 55 is hilarious
[22:29]<Tux2> I make a plugin for bukkit, it works, I try to port it over to canary, I have to work around bugs...
[22:29]<@BC_Programming> "they have more dots in their version!"
[22:31]<Tux2> lol... here's another developer having problems because of bugs: http://forums.canarymod.net/showthread.php?tid=1270
[22:31]<@BC_Programming> it's his fault obviously! :P
[22:31]<Tux2> looks like he is trying to port the wool dyer...
[22:31]<@BC_Programming> was he using the right config file? That's apparently very important
[22:31]<Tux2> lol!
[22:31]<Tux2> Tee hee...
[22:32]<Tux2> I had to leave some features out of my claygen plugin because of incomplete hooks...
[22:32]<Tux2> and my Weather plugin was absolutely hopeless...
[22:33]<Tux2> But, once they get B7, I'll try to get my mapclone plugin ported....
[22:34]<Tux2> I got the main canary dev to re-do the whole weather hooks in B7 because of the bug I pointed out...
[22:34]<Tux2> It's just not out yet...
[22:34]<@BC_Programming> ha and that thread was saying Canary is better made...
[22:34]<Tux2> lol, yeah...
[22:36]<Tux2> It's not, that's for sure, but, if you have a really good developer trying to port plugins, and they aren't working because something is broken, and he is submitting bug reports, you can do two things: 1. Tell him it's his fault. 2. Say it's broken and we will fix it. 2.a. Release fix soon after fixing it (meaning new .X version). 2.b. Wait until next build to release it.
[22:37]<@BC_Programming> true
[22:38]<Tux2> I'll continue to port and release a slew of plugins for Canary, just without all the features of the bukkit versions because of missing/broken hooks...
[22:39]<Tux2> Hopefully it makes them fix the broken stuff and make it better..
[22:40]<Tux2> If not, then I'll abandon making plugins...
[22:40]<Tux2> for canary that is...
[22:41]<@BC_Programming> indeed
[22:41]<@BC_Programming> Still trying to figure out how to make maps cloneable via crafting
[22:42]<@BC_Programming> can't seem to set the durability or damage or whatever to set the map number properly
[22:43]<@BC_Programming> I only just recently added something to baseblock that should have been there from the get go, a proper pause screen
[22:44]<@BC_Programming> now instead of basically stopping the gameproc() from doing it's loop, it actually plays a pause sound and pauses the music as well, and shows PAUSE :P
[22:44]<@BC_Programming> it's pretty cool because when the game is unpaused the balls don't start moving right away, and instead have a little count-down
[22:52]<Tux2> nice!
[22:53]<Tux2> lol BC_Programming, I thought you figured that out with the maps...
[22:53]<@BC_Programming> nope
[22:53]<Tux2> ah...
[22:53]<Tux2> you should be able to set a damage value for the item that comes out...
[22:53]<@BC_Programming> I had it half working... I thought it was the recipe that was keeping me from cloning other maps
[22:53]<Tux2> ItemStack(int type, int amount, short damage)
[22:53]<@BC_Programming> so I changed the recipe to be the same as a normal map, but with the map to clone in a corner
[22:54]<@BC_Programming> tried that... didn't work though
[22:54]<Tux2> hmm...
[22:54]<@BC_Programming> the problem is that when you setIngredient(), you don't pass the itemstack, but the material, and I don't think that Material keeps info on damage and whatnot
[22:55]<@BC_Programming> thought of a simpler and somewhat dumb mod though, slimeballs and cobble=mossy cobble, lol
[22:56]<Tux2> lol
[22:58]<Tux2> ShapedRecipe mapRecipe = new ShapedRecipe(new ItemStack(Material.MAP, 2, (short)i));
[22:59]<@BC_Programming> yeah that is what I am doing in the loop
[23:00]<Tux2> setIngredient(char key, Material ingredient, int raw)
[23:01]<@BC_Programming> yeah I'm using i as the "raw" parameter there as well
[23:01]<@BC_Programming> for the map ingredient anyway
[23:01]<Tux2> Hmm... does it work?
[23:02]<@BC_Programming> not last time I tried, I'm running it now though, may have made some innocuous changes that fixed it
[23:02]<Tux2> ahhh....
[23:03]<@BC_Programming> yeah that reminds me BCPixArt was doing some weird things, it seemed to be working and it made a giant image but near the end there are chunk-oriented bits missing
[23:04]<@BC_Programming> to be fair though the images was HUGE
[23:05]<Tux2> lol... you may have to load those chunks as they may not have been loaded when the image was generating.
[23:05]<@BC_Programming> ahh good point
[23:06]<@BC_Programming> thx for that, will look into it for sure :P... I thought it was the memory usage from the undo info
[23:12]<@BC_Programming> hmm
[23:12]<Tux2> lol...
[23:12]<@BC_Programming> I think the problem with the map thing is that minecraft is actually changing the id when you take it off the crafting table
[23:12]<Tux2> hmm...
[23:13]<@BC_Programming> weird thing is I would have expected bukkit to have some sort of hooks for crafting table stuff
[23:14]<Tux2> lol, yeah, I know, but they don't...
[23:14]<Tux2> lol, it works, it just gives you 2 copies of the next map...
[23:15]<@BC_Programming> yeah exactly
[23:15]<Tux2> I put in map 1 and it came out with map 2....
[23:15]<Tux2> I wonder if shift clicking would solve it...
[23:15]<@BC_Programming> good question
[23:17]<Tux2> Yup, it does!!!!
[23:17]<Tux2> I now have 3 copies of map 2 by crafting, instead of 2 copies of map 3 and 1 copy of map 2
[23:18]<@BC_Programming> yeah just tried, works for me as well
[23:18]<Tux2> :D
[23:18]<@BC_Programming> think we can reason out why as well, shift-clicking makes it do some other bit of logic to add it to the inventory and never changes the map data value
[23:18]<@BC_Programming> which is also why we can clone map_0
[23:18]<@BC_Programming> since the default recipe creates a map with data value 0
[23:19]<Tux2> exactly.
[23:20]<Tux2> BC_Programming, here's something: someone who isn't a plugin dev, telling a plugin dev what he should be able to do: http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/fun-mech-mapclone-v0-2-clone-any-in-game-map-818.19340/#post-346185
[23:22]<@BC_Programming> heh
[23:23]<Tux2> lol, it only takes 1 second to add 65535 map recipies into the minecraft server...
[23:24]<@BC_Programming> cool
[23:24]<Tux2> Well, someone asked for maps to be craftable, so, here he is...
[23:25]<@BC_Programming> I wonder how a map's zoom level is set
[23:28]<Tux2> In a file for the map
[23:28]<@BC_Programming> interesting
[23:28]<Tux2> http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Map_%28Item%29
[23:28]<Tux2> Yeah...
[23:39]<Tux2> decompiling the jar right now to do some more fun stuff with maps that isn't in the bukkit api. :D
[23:40]<@BC_Programming> hehe
[23:40]<Tux2> http://mcp.ocean-labs.de/index.php/MCP_Releases
[23:41]<@BC_Programming> yeah I know about MCP... I used it to make that coalpig thing in beta 1.2
[23:49]<Tux2> ah...
