[11:08]<+Mulreay> is it just me or do viruses seem to know there under attack and start going mental
[11:09]<@BC_Programming> gawd you're still trying to get rid of it?
[11:09]<+Mulreay> yep
[11:09]<@BC_Programming> you did update malwarebytes before scanning I hope
[11:09]<@BC_Programming> brb
[11:09]<+Mulreay> yep
[11:11]<@BC_Programming> back
[11:11]<+Mulreay> like magic
[11:11]<@BC_Programming> it's only MSE finding it right?
[11:12]<+Mulreay> yeah, but I can't browse the web as every request comes back as malicious
[11:12]<@BC_Programming> by firefox?
[11:12]<@BC_Programming> or IE?
[11:13]<@BC_Programming> you haven't responded in your malware thread...
[11:13]<@BC_Programming> to superdave I mean
[11:13]<+Mulreay> still not done what he asked
[11:14]<@BC_Programming> so let me get this straight- you're "doing your own thing" despite #4?
[11:14]<+Mulreay> no
[11:15]<@BC_Programming> ok good :P
[11:15]<+Mulreay> explorer keeps crashing so finding it difficult to start the program
[11:15]<+Mulreay> as it has just crashed again... this laptop is two steps from going down the stairs
[11:17]<@BC_Programming> Right because that would fix it
[11:17]<+Mulreay> probably
[11:17]<+Mulreay> it fixed the last one
[11:18]<+Mulreay> trying a restart again
[11:18]<+Mulreay> hard restart that is
[11:19]<@BC_Programming> why? if explorer crashed can you not try restarting it via task manager
[11:19]<+Mulreay> nothing will work... nada, zip nadink
[11:19]<@BC_Programming> you know it's funny
[11:19]<@BC_Programming> I've fixed 10+ laptops where that was the problem
[11:20]<@BC_Programming> and not one was the task manager not available
[11:20]<+Mulreay> cool
[11:20]<+Mulreay> think I have worked out what was causing the hang
[11:20]<@BC_Programming> so its a hang now?
[11:20]<@BC_Programming> you just said explorer was crashing, not hanging
[11:26]<+Mulreay> I can't seem to access 'My Computer' everytime I do explorer is crashing... I was getting con-fuddled earlier... I can actually get into task manager..
[11:27]<@BC_Programming> Control-Shift-Escape, or, double-click the desktop after explorer crashes, etc
[11:27]<+Mulreay> yeah
[11:27]<@BC_Programming> or start->Run taskmgr or just run whatever tool you're trying to run via cmd
[11:28]<+Mulreay> I can't even get the program acroos to this laptop
[11:30]<@BC_Programming> use cmd to copy it
[11:30]<+Mulreay> again tried to go into my computer and nothing is responding anymore
[11:31]<+Mulreay> gonna attempt to burn it to disc
[11:31]<@BC_Programming> err
[11:31]<@BC_Programming> what would that do
[11:31]<+Mulreay> to transfer it
[11:31]<@BC_Programming> you'd still keep trying to access explorer to get to the disk
[11:32]<+Mulreay> what other choices do I have.. if I can't access the disk or my computer to get to the external?
[11:32]<@BC_Programming> do you know the drive letter of the flash/external drive or whatever you are using to transfer?
[11:32]<+Mulreay> yes
[11:32]<@BC_Programming> ok, what is it?
[11:32]<+Mulreay> M
[11:32]<@BC_Programming> k
[11:33]<@BC_Programming> combofix in the root?
[11:33]<+Mulreay> yeah
[11:33]<@BC_Programming> ok gimme a sec, for a run command
[11:33]<+Mulreay> thx
[11:35]<@BC_Programming> try start->run cmd /c copy M:\combofix.exe %userprofile%\desktop&%userprofile%\desktop\combofix
[11:35]<+Mulreay> k thanks
[11:35]<@BC_Programming> that should copy it to the desktop, and then run it
[11:38]<+Mulreay> nope did not work, just reading back over for mistakes
[11:38]<@BC_Programming> what happened
[11:39]<+Mulreay> cmd flashed up then off and nothing
[11:39]<@BC_Programming> ok try running the copy but there from cmd
[11:39]<@BC_Programming> that is copy M:\combofix.exe %userprofile%\desktop&%userprofile%\desktop\combofix
[11:39]<+Mulreay> k thx
[11:40]<+Mulreay> it's ok randomly found a workaround
[11:40]<@BC_Programming> ok
[11:40]<+Mulreay> I have it on the desktop now, just running it
[11:41]<+Mulreay> BSOD when I try to run it
[11:41]<@BC_Programming> ok
[11:41]<@BC_Programming> tell Superdave that
[11:41]<+Mulreay> k will do thx for the help

[14:14]<+Mulreay> metal gates won't open in minecraft :(
[14:14]<@BC_Programming> you put a button next to them
[14:15]<+Mulreay> Yeah I have issues with red dust stuff
[14:15]<+Mulreay> there double gates and only one ever opens
[14:15]<@BC_Programming> you need to connect the "power" to both sides
[14:17]<+Mulreay> yeah I tried that but it all started going wonky
[14:17]<+Mulreay> It's ok one side can just open
[14:24]<+Mulreay> Just need diamond now, I had an accident carrying all of my diamond..and involved my lava moat

[14:29]<@BC_Programming> oh I was trying to figure out wtf you were talking about when you said metal gate
[14:30]<+Mulreay> heh
[14:30]<+Mulreay> that room took about 3 days to clear out
[14:30]<@BC_Programming> I assumed you meant iron door which I guess is what the texture pack changes that
[14:30]<+Mulreay> yeah
[14:30]<@BC_Programming> cool
[14:30]<@BC_Programming> what's in the top bit?
[14:30]<@BC_Programming> more caves?
[14:31]<+Mulreay> still need to clear more roof space.. at the top is where my gate to that other place will be... you know all mystic in a temple etc
