[09:07]<PCdoc> A software when installed on a system. Registeration key generated from Authorization key. The computer is not connected to the internet. The hard disk crashed which is then replaced by a new hard disk and that software is installed there. Now the developer says you should uninstall from the previous hard disk before uninstalling here
[09:07]<PCdoc> I argued the computer is not connected to the internet, how does that matter if the software is removed? In any case hard disk crashed
[09:08]<PCdoc> How does that matter if the software is uninstalled from the previous hard disk?
[09:14]<Veltas> If they're persistant just be like "oh yeah sure I uninstalled it" whilst smashing the other hard disk with a hammer.
[09:18]<PCdoc> lol
[09:22]<Veltas> Microsoft is better, I think they phrase it more like "to your knowledge, is this the only computer X is installed on?"
[09:59]<+camerongray> The difference is if they force it or if it is just a licencing thing
[09:59]<+camerongray> If they force you to uninstall it then you would need to contact the company
[10:00]<+camerongray> Otherwise like with MS stuff you can just install it without issues
[10:09]<Veltas> MS definitely do it the sensible way. Right up until some innocent user ends up being locked out of their computer and forced to pay for a new OS because someone else stole their activation code
[10:09]<Veltas> I saw that happen to someone
[10:10]<Veltas> I'm guessing it wasn't a virus, admittedly

[15:30]<Quantos> Apparently we suggest sites for support without checking the validity of them now
[15:31]<BC_Programmer> "fixyourpcnow.com? Sounds legit"
[15:32]<Quantos> No, here - https://neosmart.net/wiki/dell-recovery-disk/
[15:32]<Quantos> and here - https://neosmart.net/blog/windows-recovery-discs/
[15:33]<BC_Programmer> Oh great, they just push their own Recovery software
[15:33]<Quantos> Yeah
[15:33]<Quantos> Nice eh?
[15:34]<Quantos> Let me know if you can actually find something other than their own software
[15:35]<Quantos> I tried every link, they all go there
[15:39]<Quantos> So how's things been, it's been a little while
[15:40]<BC_Programmer> I mentioned I got a raise didn't I?

[15:40]<@BC_Programming> HAHA It was me all along
[15:41]<Tux2> lol
[15:41]<Tux2> I am now building Sponge on my jenkins server
[15:41]<Quantos> I think that you might have mentioned the raise
[15:41]<Quantos> It sounds familiar at least
[15:43]<Tux2> http://build.yu8.me:8080/view/Sponge%20Stuff/
[15:44]<@BC_Programming> I'm calling it now if this Sponge thing takes off, somebody is going to fork it and call the fork "Prismarine" or something
[15:44]<Tux2> lol
[15:45]<@BC_Programming> is it in a runnable state yet?
[15:48]<Tux2> It "runs", however you can't do anything useful quite yet
[15:49]<Tux2> basically you can have a plugin load and print to the console, but other than that: nope!
[15:50]<@BC_Programming> So not a MC server yet?
[17:21]<+camerongray> Quantos: haha yeah
